Super friendly staff and excellent location! The room was facing away from the main street so it was very quiet, i didn't hear any voice from neighboring rooms so it was really nice. There is a very big supermarket 2 minutes away, nice to buy some fresh fruits and water. Clean towel and small but comfortable bed, clean bed sheet, daily cleaning. :)

The building is old so i could hear upstairs footsteps..but there was no sound from next door which was really nice!! single room is very small but considering other good factors, i don't have complaints.

For the room: The shower was really nice - clean towels and bedding were available. Bed was really comfortable and enjoyed the aircon in the rooms (we stayed when it was 30 degrees in London, so was a big push) The staff were lovely, we had a good joke with them about the heat and they always acknowledged us, and the check in process was super easy. Location is amazing; 5 minutes from the tube; Over the road from a shop that's open late (godsend for us); felt like a very safe area to walk around at night as on a main a busy road; Loads of restaurants and cafe's nearby (we walked 15 minutes down to Farm Girl South Kensington and that was lovely); Also only a 12 minute walk from the Natural History and Science museums!

Just needed a bit more cleaning, there was red splatter marks on the wall by the window and the bathroom cabinet handles were covered in limescale. But this is easily fixable with some good cleaning equipment!

As a solo, senior, seasoned, female traveler, this property worked well. The single room was small which I expected and so was the bathroom but according to English standards. It is about a 2.5 block walk to Gloucester tube station and there are many pubs, restaurants and fast food on both Gloucester and Cromwell Roads. A couple of museums are within walking distance and one could even walk to Harrod's. The tube provides a direct route from LHR to Gloucester station. London is a very expensive city and I would choose this hotel again despite what I listed as not liking. Value was good.

The elevator goes to the 4th floor only. I had to carry my luggage to the 5th floor up and down very steep steps. If you have mobility issues, specify your need for access via the elevator or avoid booking if this cannot be guaranteed. A towel was provided each day but no bathmat. There is no fridge.

Our room was comfortable, clean and a good size for two. Location of the hotel was good - just a 7-minute walk to Gloucester Rd railway station and local supermarket, fast food etc. Also close to Earls Court station. Direct bus line to Harrods - about a 5-minute trip.

On arrival late at night, we found that the hotel no longer offers twin beds, which is what we had booked several months prior. However the attendant assured us that if we were prepared to tolerate one night with the king-sized bed that was appointed to us, he would do his best to get us twin beds for the remainder of our 5-night stay. He was true to his word and we were moved to a room with twin beds the next day. We were disappointed that no communication had been attempted to inform us that the hotel had changed its room configuration.

I stayed quite a few times at this hotel on my london trips. south Kensington is my favourite area in the city and the quality/price of the Cromwell is virtually unbeatable. Staff is kind and helpful, very nice people. Beds are very comfortable and rooms are spacious and renewed, I can recommend anyone to give it a try

If I have to be fussy, only little issue was room service as one night we did not get any clean towels until 9 PM and we were left without shower gel, but the staff at the concierge were very helpful and did their best to fix any trouble, but honestly nothing compared to the many pluses of the hotel

Wasn’t anything I didn’t like about the property! I would definitely visit again.. only lowered my score to 9 instead of 10 just because there was a leak from the air con through the night so the dripping irritated me slightly and kept me up but I told staff the next morning and they were happy to get it looked at- I also didn’t really feel any cold air when it was on. Only other thing was that I felt uneasy that the windows on the 5th floor opened up really wide, next time I will ask to be on a lower level as my child ran in and looked out of the window before I had even got into the room and noticed it was open so it gave me anxiety he would fall out (more my own fear then the hotel doing anything wrong)

The room was very well presented and clean. Modern furniture with nice bedding. The bathroom was modern, functional and clean. There was a dressing table/workspace and chair. All facilities were more than adequate for my needs. Air conditioning was a nice touch especially in mid June when it was seriously hot outside. Staff were very polite and helpful. There were tea and coffee making facilities in the room.

I did not find anything that was not acceptable. There was decorating work being done in some of the corridors, but nothing that affected my stay there. That said I didn’t hear or see anyone working, but clearly some maintenance work was in progress.

At first, in April we asked the hotel to give us the upper ground level. We also confirm it with the receptionists when we stayed there, not to give us the room at the  basement.
