Very well located, short walk from Earl's Court station, and easy, slightly longer walk to Royal Albert Hall, which is why I booked this hotel to stay after an event. On the busy A4 but I had a room at the back & the sound-proofing seemed fine anyway. Comfortable bed, spacious room and good bathroom with shower. Quick & easy check-in.
I received a message 3 days before saying I had to pay in advance or it would be cancelled. Link to website under Booking.com name asked for card details again & I wasn't sure it wasn't a scam. Challenged and was then told by Rockwell to ignore the message but never established the reason for it or whether it was dodgy.

Simple, clean and comfortable.
Beware Booking . Com scam - first time for me - you get an email from within the booking.com app with a link to pay for your stay within 24 hours else your booking will be cancelled. It’s an obvious scam especially as the English in the email is poor, but given it’s from within the app it could catch some people out. Hotel claims booking.com have been hacked, booking.com didn’t respond to my email on the issue - so who knows. But booking.com you know something of this so please alert customers. As far as I can see you have not done this over the last several months.

Location, cleanness
I booked standard double room. From the photo on the booking.com website, the bed in the standard double room should be in the middle. But the bed in the room I stayed was just against the wall. So the room is different from that shown on the website. So I was a bit disappointed.

Fantastic value for a well appointed, immaculately clean hotel which also served great breakfast. It looks as if it has been recently refurbished because it is all freshly painted and modern.
Breakfast was a little busy but not really a problem

That was a very clean room and bright room with high ceilings. They kept cleaning and replacing the items every day. I stayed alone but the room was big enough for 2 and has enough cupboards. It’s also close to metro and bus stations and located in a good neighbourhood. I just wished I could stay in a room with a street view instead of facing the wall..maybe next time. :)
AC works really loud.. I’m a deep sleeper so wasn’t a big deal for me, however some may not like it. It also didn’t want to heat during my last night.. but in the morning it was working fine. I read some similar coments before I book the room, so maybe the hotel needs to replace/renew the AC’s. That’s the only point..

Always so great. The best in London. Great staff, great rooms, great location to Earls Court underground and so clean and perfect. Heating or air con, amazing breakfast for good price in London. We received a complimentary box with a lovely tasting wine. Too many times have I stayed in London with expensive prices and disappointing rooms and really poor customer service. This place tops everywhere where I have stayed in all my times previous. Will be staying here again when in London. You get the service you pay for. My fiancé from abroad has been so shocked at the level in London at still expensive prices but here, she will stay no where else! Thank you Rockwell! See you soon.
Nothing.

For me, it was most important to have a clean room, a personal clean bathroom, clean sanitary ware, clean bedding and towels. A good bonus for me was a kettle, tea, a bottle of water, a bathrobe and a hair dryer. And also the good size of the room. It's nice to wake up not "in a closet", but in a normal room with a window :) And I also want to say about the very convenient location of the hotel itself. I especially liked that everything was clean. This is important to me, but I was a little worried if it would be, because the price can be alarming. Actually, now I understand why the price is so reasonable. It is for flaws. They didn't really bother me. But I will tell about them, if it is important to someone.
My single-bed room was not new, everything is "older". For example, two towels from the set were a bit old. But, at the same time, the big towel was new, fluffy and high-quality. The same can be said about plumbing, furniture and the state of repair. It can be seen that once it was all done well, and that's why it still works. But age and high demand for use still did their job.

The location is fab; so close to the tube, walking distance if you prefer to roam. The room was fine - Let's face it, when on holiday, I was gone from 9am-11pm most days, so the room is for sleeping. It is certainly not what I would consider 4 stars, but given the price, it is well worth it. I did ask for a quiet room however was put right next to the lifts. Again, given I was gone all day and exhausted by night, even this light sleeper didn't have a problem with any noise. I can understand some of the other reviews however my experience was great.
Nothing. I was happy with my stay.

A wonderful discovery. Close to main destinations, on walking distance. A great home away from home kind of place. It is quiet, clean and relaxing. I would definitely stay there again. There is a beautiful garden/patio and the coffee is freshly brewed and made for you. Beds and pillows are super comfy, especially the duvet on the first floor rooms, you get lost in it.:-) It is a bit like an old mansion for nobility. Could use some natural flowers in the main waiting area. Breakfast is good and you can ask for a sunny side up pair of eggs if you wish additional savoury foods. Area is very green and it looked safe. Packed with coffee shops and dinning places. Bus 74 stops in front of the hotel and takes you to the marble arch area ( park lane) in about 20 mins. Is quite handy and beautiful ride.
Bathrooms, although equipped with everything you need, are quite outdated and there are some stains on the walls that can put you off as it looks like unattended. Walls in the baths could use a remake, overall.

Big and beautiful room for London standards, nice desk and a little balcony. Lovely helpful staff and good housekeeping. Decent price for the location!
Bed was really subpar... definitely not of 3* standard. Little was right in this department... Mattress was too thin and firm, horrible pillows (if they even deserve this name... just some old rags with a pillowcase around) and the duvet was way too thick for summer time (hotel couldnt help as they have only thick ones). I didnt sleep well as a result. Improve the beds pleaae! Also had a loud neighbour shouting on the phone at midnight on her balcony which didnt help.
