Very quirky hotel with lots of areas to sit and relax. Bar area on ground floor, foyer with seating and also a large table surrounded by bookshelves tucked in at the side. Upper floor had an outdoor area and plenty of seating indoors too. Bedroom was small but comfortable and thankfully had excellent air conditioning as we visited during very warm weather in London.

Strangely no soap or body wash supplied , although usual shampoo and hair conditioner( not a deal breaker to be fair) We also had to ask for extra teabags and some milk on one of our days- these were limited to one each per day. Sadly, the location proved to be less convenient than I'd hoped. We tended to stay out in the city to eat in the evening as there were no places around the hotel to call in to. If you plan to be out all day it's a good place to crash.

If you're looking to kick off your stay in London at a stylish and unique hotel, this is the perfect choice! Location: Excellent, conveniently located near Limehouse station, making it easy to explore the city. Breakfast: Absolutely delicious, with a variety of options to satisfy any palate. Interior: Exquisite decor featuring a diverse array of interesting items. The thoughtful arrangement creates a captivating atmosphere without feeling cluttered. I highly recommend this hotel and will definitely return on my next visit to London!

On a personal note, I found the shower area a bit cramped (approximately 1 square meter), and the shower head could be different (fixed on top rather than removable). Additionally, I had some difficulty adjusting the air conditioning; it tended to feel either too warm or too cold during the night. I couldn’t find a way to switch it completely off either!

Lovely rooms, large for London.

Bathrobes are tiny. Strange smell in the bar, they take 100npounds off your card for pre authorisation which wasn't mentioned. Breakfast start time randomly was put an hour and a half later on the day of the marathon, which meant we couldn't have breakfast as my husband was running the marathon. Drinks expensive. Paid 30 quid for a coffee, a tea, and 2 pints.

This hotel was unique and quirky, it still has the library features within the foyer. The staff were very attentive and pleasant. The room was immaculate, bed very comfy, plenty of room, lovely spacious bathroom. Air conditioning was superb, we visited during exceptionally hot temperatures, it was a godsend. Overall we loved the hotel. 5 minutes to DLR Limehouse Station which takes you to Bank. From there you can access most subway lines to popular spots in the centre centre.

My only criticism is storage in the room. There was a small double wardrobe but there wasn't a set of drawers which would have made such a difference. The shower could be updated, trying to keep water in the cubicle wasn't easy.

Likely the most charming hotel I've ever stayed in. The concept, the design and the atmosphere are carefully honed, mixing the older library heritage with Turkish style. I appreciate the idea for room design based on famous people. The room almost exceeded my expectations, in particular flexible lights. The location is also great, relatively far from tourist crowds yet not distant from the City. Highly recommended. As a caveat, I did not use all available facilities - spa, sauna etc. So cannot assess those features.

The only questionable thing was that some rooms are dedicated to the historical figures which were known as outright evil.

Location is good, just a 5 minute walk from Limehouse station, and there is also a bus stop almost outside the hotel. Despite being on a busy street, there is no noise inside the hotel. The roof terrace is a beautiful oasis, and you easily forget you are in London. Breakfast was very good; a nice mixture of mediterranean food, and British food, with lots of variety and healthy options too. Staff were very accommodating, polite and respectful.

As someone who is sensitive to light, having the mini-bar fridge near the bed meant that i found it harder to sleep than usual, as it was quite bright, and no way to cover it up.

Everything was fabulous. The staff specially Celin was very helpful, kind, polite and respectful. We used the Turkish hammam which was super clean and they provided towels, toiletries, slippers, and many more. The breakfast was truly delicious and we couldn’t have asked for anything better. The hotel is beautiful and spotless. They cleaned our room every day and left us fresh towels.

Nothing really about the hotel. however, it is a bit far from the city centre and touristy places but a bus station is literally outside the main entrance of the hotel which takes a little more than an hour (depending on the traffic) to get to the centre but buses are very frequent which is good.

The hotel is really cute with interesting decoration and atmosphere. I appreciated how they handled our reservation that was a complicated one, divided in three separate parts. Especially, the fact that they took into account my preference for a specific room and they reserved it for our whole stay, although they explained when I made the booking that this might not be feasible. The room was spotlessly clean. There was an issue with the drain in the shower at some point, but the staff handled it effectively and without being intrusive in the room, exactly as I had requested. The breakfast room was beautiful and the breakfast itself acceptable, but without being something special. The location of the hotel is a little off center of London. We needed about half an hour, taking the Tube to reach most London attractions, which for the size of London might not be that much. The Bank station, though, which is at the limits of central London and an underground hub for many lines, is only two stops away from the Limehouse station, which serves the hotel (5 min walk). The hotel is located on an avenue and a neighbourhood with not much to do around. However, it is very close to the picturesque Limehouse basin, and we enjoyed a lot the stroll from the hotel, through St Catherine's area, and following the Thames path along the river. The walk took about an hour and revealed many interesting places in that residential area. In summary, we loved the hotel and the staff. If I was to consider something before booking next time to the Limehouse Library hotel, that would be only the location. However, that would probably not stop me from booking again and definitely from highly recommending it.

Our room was facing east, and in the morning the curtains failed blocking the light. The curtains need to be thicker and also longer to not leave any gaps.

This hotel is fabulous. The attention to detail in the communal areas, reception, restaurant & bar and rooftop terrace is quite unbelievable. The room was lovely, quiet and clean. Everything you could need. Breakfast for £20 pp as an added extra did seem expensive but the experience was incredible. The food was as fresh as it could possibly be and staff attentive. There was everything you could want and it all appeared to be really high quality. All staff friendly, rooftop terrace a delightful extra. I had the best nights sleep I have ever had, the pillows were simply sublime and I will be looking to replace mine at home to something similar!

Location felt safe and although some other reviews mention outside noise, this was absolutely not something that bothered us at any point during our stay. There is not a huge amount within reasonable walking distance however there is a delightful restaurant down the road and a convenience store, along with excellent public transport links for getting anywhere in the city.

Loved the hotel had a former life, and they had kept the ethos of it being a library. With rooms being dedicated to writers and poets. The bar and restaurant were full of wonderful objects. The hotel was in easy reach of tube there was a range of eating places near by. A great area for exploring the East end of London. Staff helpful and friendly they took us to our room and gave us history around the building. Room big clean had everything we needed. There is a mini bar, but we didn't use it. Bed comfortable had great nights sleep. Great shower and bath Would definitely stay here again and recommend it to others

There would be enough room for a 2 seater sofa or comfortable lounge chairs, which would have been lovely after a long day. Instead, the seating was more like dining chairs and not very relaxing. No toiletries, we didn't bring any as usually they are included in the price.
