How helpful and resourceful the staff was to assist us. They were willing to sort out whatever they could. The beds were comfortable, sofa-bed slightly squeaky but we can live with that. Shower was as good as it gets in London (don't expect high pressure but you will still get a good shower). The room was lovely as were the facilities. I do want to point out to the traveller seeing this that the Royal Albert on the DLR is the closest train and if you want to get to a shopping center then changing to the Jubilee at Canning Town and head to Westfield at Stratford. Heading into central? Take the DLR to Custom House and swap over to the Elizabeth line it will take you all the way into town!

There honestly wasn't anything to dislike.,

Didn't realise there would be cooked elements of the breakfast, thought it was only continental so this was a lovely surprise. Breakfast was of good very good quality, the bacon was delicious! The family room was amazing, great size and met our needs. First time staying at a Moxy so will stay again. Nice to be able to check in early as one of the rooms was available. The light under the bed was a nice touch as it sensed movement even during the night.

The queen bed room wasn't ready at 3pm but staff did rally round to then ensure it had been checked by housekeeping. The rooms could do with more plug sockets. Struggled to charge all of the devices at the same time. Bathrooms in the queen rooms were very small, not much room to dry and change.

Overall a great experience. Great location, easy to get around London. The tube is only a five minute walk away. And is located right next to the Royal Docks. Breakfast was good, lots to choose from. And the bar is open 24/7 which is a nice touch. Rooms were nice and clean. The only downside was we didn’t sleep well. We didn’t go to bed until after 1am, but the sound of music from downstairs continued long after that. Even though we seemed to be the last to leave the bar area? The mattress and pillows were quite uncomfortable, I woke up with a stiff neck. We also woke up sweating more than once. We could open the windows, but that also increased the noise levels. That said, we would still return and recommend to others.

Very clean, nice decor, friendly. Room was lovely nice decor fluffy towels, kettle/tea/coffee etc in room /great shower etc. Reception staff were very welcoming and accommodating. Food was good - no complaints - great price for an overnight stay in London a very close walk to Royal Albert DLR station. 15 mins in an Uber (£10) to the o2 for an evening event very handy.

A little remote - in a row of 5 other hotels but nothing around (no shops/bars around at all if that matters to you). This means you are having to buy v expensive £4/750ml bottles of water from the hotel unless you bring your own for the room. They provide 2 x 250ml water cartons in the room. Almost opposite the runway at London City Airport so got woken up very early with the first flights taking off. My friends were staying at the back of the hotel and didn’t get woken up so I suppose it depends on where your room is - mine was 116 looking over the carpark/Travelodge next door. We love the staff, every time we come everyone is so sweet and when we mentioned being cold we got a small heater to take up to remedy the situation. Also very glad oatmilk was an option at the bat for coffee.

There were some odd stains on the ceiling that we couldn't identify. Every room we've stayed in has had the issue that the showers aren't sealed well enough and obviously they aren't new and it's noticeable. As much as I appreciate the emphasis on recycling, we always feel bad for overfilling the bin and with a lot of items that aren't featured on it but it's the only option.

I have stayed in a few Moxy Hotels around Europe and I love the relaxed, unpretentious style of them. The Moxy London ExCel is very comfortable, good value for money, close to City Airport and still only 20-30 minutes away from the West End via the DLR and Elizabeth Line. One simple but very good feature of the bedrooms is the night light under the bed triggered by motion, that allows you to visit the bathroom without disturbing your partner. The bathroom also has a separate low light to avoid disturbance.

Signage for the hotel car park is difficult to spot when you are driving and even when you reach what you think is the right area, the signs within the car park are difficult to read. That could be improved.

I was visiting an event at the Excel, therefore the location was great, although it is close to airport, there was no noise in the room. The bed was comfortable and breakfast was nice, it si also good you can grab a quick bite at the reception area. The lobby has large tables w power connections, also a pool table

The room has everything however it is very small, the bathroom is very small but for one person OK, there is no closet, just one hanger and the space for working is very limited and not very comfortable, best option is to work from the lobby area,

The atmosphere was great! Trendy and Modern hotel. view of the city airport was a bonus. Some staff were great but there was a male worker who genuinely was poor at customer service not made any eye contact or had any enthusiasm. Made use feel like the check out was very rude but check in was very good as we arrived slightly earlier so she let us wait and gave us a room when it was available. she was welcoming and friendly. Security person was friendly. Lots to do in Lobby area and relaxing atmosphere with great choice of music playing! Rooms were spacious and clean comfy beds. Smart TV was a good bonus! location to DLR is perfect.

Food timing should be extended as we were hungry had to order out shame as menu for hotel sounded tasty! some staff need some training on how to offer customer service a little smile goes a long way! Felt like it was a job he was told to do rather than working to enjoy the work!

The hotel was really nice with cool, urban ja youthful twist. Our room was super spacious and clean. The staff even gave us a bigger one with a shower chair and support handles when they saw I arrived with my wheelchair (I'm not sure if this was the particular reason to do so, but I had no complain) and it was the highlight of my vacation. As a disabled person showering can be a problem in new enviroment but not at Moxy. The was also was lovely and made sleeping super comfortable. We'll be coming back over and over again.

A bit far from everything really but public transports were close as they could be so that wasn't an issue we couldn't handle.

The room was spacious, clean & had all amenities. The beds were very comfortable. It was quiet too with the windows closed and the aircon was quiet and could be adjusted to our desired temperature. We appreciated the complimentary snacks too. The ironing room was very useful with a decent iron. Lastly, I commend the hotel for having curtains that block out most of the light, as there's nothing worse than having light come in when you want a lie in in the morning!

It was nice that there was a hairdryer in the room. However there was no wall socket near the mirror to plug the dryer into so that we could dry our hair in front of the mirror. Women need to see what they're doing to their hair. Would be nice to have a magnifying mirror in the bathroom too- for doing make up etc close up 😊
