We were given a beautiful deluxe room with a view of the park.

Prior to checking out we found one of the staff in our room although the door has *dont disturb " sign. He said he was checking the minibar items. I dont think its globally accepted to enter a room with dont enter sign.

The air conditioning system in our room had an annoying clicking noise that disturbed my wife’s sleep. Ear plugs were required.

The room was beautiful

The location of the room , the elevator was to small. Additionally, the room is not connected to the hotel lobby , it’s kind of disconnected from the hotel. Also we asked for a twin bed at check in and he said it’s Available. However , as we arrived at the room it’s a king bed. The facility of going underground to the room from the hotel isn’t nice.

Slow check in process Lack of transparency around the service charges that appear on your final invoice - there is a 5% service charge added to your room rate bill and 13.5% service charge added to your restaurant bill. I don’t like that the invoices / receipts you are are asked to sign with the amounts and included service charges that ask for your room numbers, name and signature also have a gratuity box so the unaware may end up paying for a service charge and adding a gratuity.

We have stayed before, so knew what what to expect! The staff are so friendly, our car was parked for us when we arrived. We were upgraded to a better room, which was fabulous. We had a splendid view of Green Park! We went to the bar in the evening and had drinks and bar food, which was lovely. The breakfast in the morning was great, so much choice. We would definitely stay again, it is in such a great location too, close to everything in walking distance. Fabulous!!

Good facilities, clean pleasant rooms. Excellent staff, very friendly and perfectly helpful. The doorman were excellent ambassadors for the Atheneum.

The hotel was beautiful spotless the room was spacious staff were amazing

We had dinner in the restaurant which was very slow service when we finally received the meal had been sitting a while as it was all dried out around the edges. We refused the meal and the staff dealt with it well. We ended up eating nothing which was such a shame as the rest of the hotel we couldn’t fault

Hotel staff made the stay feel wonderful from the doorman to check in, bar and restaurant we were met with friendly smiles and comments all round. Breakfast was lovely with great coffee from a proper barista who took time to make sure we all had exactly the style of coffee we needed. We were lent a picnic blanket for the park, which was above and beyond the call of duty.

The sauna, hot tub and steam room area is good but very compact and has a limit of 6 guests so you need to book in advance.

Our booking is a Twin-beds Deluxe room, made it through booking application, however when we arrived we were offered to be either in the apartment or a one-queen bedroom, where It was not mentioned in booking that accommodation will be according to availability of beds, and our reservation was made 1 month prior to arrival. We stayed the first night in the queen-bed room, then the next morning, Thanks to the staff they accommodated us in a Twin-beds Deluxe as in our original booking.

The location was the main reason for our stay. The breakfast was amazing. The beds were exceptionally comfortable.

The bathroom in our room was too small and not very private. The staff in the restaurant were very slow. We had afternoon tea one the day we arrived. We had to ask for more tea 3 times. How long does it take to boil the kettle?!
