Breakfast was great. The breakfast manager Phyo (from Myanmar) was super attentive and friendly; it was a real pleasure to be taken care of by him. He would always spend time talking to us, never rushed but still was ablle to attend to others too. He made our stay very special.

The mandatory/discrescionary service charge applied to the room fee. This is applied everywhere in London and is a disgrace - if I want to tip a waiter, room cleaner whatever I want to do that myself, not have the tip applied to my bill in the the hope that I oversee it. To claim discrescionary this was way is extremely distasteful and, in my case anyway, results mostly in NOT leaving a tip.

Beautiful decor and well designed room.

Room 007 has a problem where you can hear when everyone above you take a shower or bath when the water goes down the waste pipes.

I enjoyed the convenient location near Green Park and Piccadilly, and the staff was friendly and always willing to help.

The inexpensive plastic windows gave an otherwise stylish room a rather basic feel. Conveniently, the room photo on the website didn’t show the windows—had I seen them, I likely would have booked something else. As for the bar, the signature cocktails were disappointing—among the worst I’ve tried in years (and I’m an avid fan of high-end cocktails). One cocktail was so acidic it tasted like straight lime juice, while another was overly sweet, masking the spirit entirely and leaving only a cloying taste of sugar.

You hear everything in the room from the neighbors. This is a bit disturbing

All staff were excellent. Concierge, housekeeping, breakfast room and Bar.

Room 515 was a good size room, but impossible to get a comfortable temperature. If the heat was on, irrespective of setting it was too hot, and by turning the heat off it got too cold, I travel a lot. Over 200 days per year. While the breakfast staff were excellent, I did find the breakfast to be poor value for money even by London standards, At least stg 8.00 too much based on choice, quality and market. To be honest I stayed at the same location when it was a Hilton for the last 25 years, and while your staff are much better, the Hilton's breakfast was better ... more choice and much better value for money. Notwithstanding I found the bar food prices to be fair (and service was excellent).

Location very good. Quiet room. Dark room / view on concrete walls - but we did not mind. Bar is nice, good Cocktails. Nice architecture. Staff friendly. Small but cosy. EU-Adapter free at reception. Room was ready at arrival (1 pm).

Breakfast was not worth the price. Coffee tasted bad and for Cappuccino you'd to pay extra. Fruit were not tasty. I guess, we were charged 30 GBP for each person per day. For 180 GBP (3 nights) we had breakfast only once and paid extra for Cappuccino. It is much better to get breakfast at nearby Starbucks or other Breakfast Places.

Our recent stay at The May Fair Townhouse was nothing short of exceptional! From the moment we arrived, the experience was seamless. The hotel’s location is perfect—so convenient to reach via the Piccadilly Line from Heathrow, and ideal for walking to nearby shops and attractions. The deluxe bedroom was absolutely stunning. The bed was so comfortable, even better than my one at home, and the bathroom was well-equipped with a great shower, bathrobe, and slippers. I particularly appreciated the thoughtful touches like the ample mirrors, charging points, and the high-quality GHD hairdryer. The mini-bar was also well-stocked with tasty snacks and soft drinks. What made the stay truly special was the surprise gesture in the room to celebrate my daughter’s birthday—such a thoughtful and kind touch that we won’t forget. The staff were incredible, from the doormen who warmly greeted us to the reception team and the concierge. Everyone was friendly, welcoming, and professional. We especially appreciated being able to store our luggage while we went shopping—it made the day so much easier. Although we didn’t have breakfast at the hotel (there are so many great coffee spots nearby), we did enjoy lunch there. The food was delicious, and the service was outstanding in a relaxed yet attentive atmosphere. Overall, I highly recommend The May Fair Townhouse. I’m already planning my next visit—thank you for making our stay so memorable!

Loved everything

Decoration, little touches in bedrooms, food delicious. Bed very comfortable! However above everything else which we couldn’t fault, the staff were fabulous. Friendly, helpful and kind, from the door man to the bar staff and concierge, everyone we spoke to were lovely. They went above and beyond for us. My daughter was ill, I asked front desk at 1am about getting medicine and within 20 mins we had a medicine delivery. The night porter also brought her warm milk, honey and lemon too. I was travelling alone with her and they were a huge support. I have never stayed at a hotel where every member of staff were so helpful. I will be travelling to London a lot now and I wouldn’t stay anywhere else.

Everything was perfect

The location, staff and overall hotel was wonderful!

The thermostat in the room was not properly working. Several days when we returned to our room the heat was completely turned off. We called down to the desk and within 3 minutes the manager was in our room. He wasn’t able to fix the problem but offered to change rooms . He brought a Dyson portable heater up to our room for the rest of our stay which was 6 more nights. We were able to adjust the heater a bit on our own but it was never consistent.

I love this hotel and I choose to stay here every time I visit london. The location is great with green park tube opposite. The staff went the extra mile with our request of an early check in which was very appreciated as we arrived so early! They also added special touches for my birthday which made our stay even more special. Concierge service is also amazing as they stored our bags during our last day which made our last day enjoyable as our train was in the evening. I wouldn’t stay anywhere else.

Food is very expensive 1 meal including a sandwich costing nearly £100…. It was late Friday night and we were very tired and didn’t want to hunt down a resturant. They also take an extra £100 for your ‘extras’ ie drinks and food during your stay. Reception tried to charge us for 2 breakfasts which we didn’t have which was annoying but was sorted instantly. Very small things.
