Very central & lovely location. Noise wasn’t too bad considering the central location, however if you are a light sleeper I would recommend bringing ear plugs. Every staff member we encountered on reception were so friendly and welcoming, will definitely be back.

As it is a noisy street it would be great if ear plugs were provided however not an issue for me personally as I bought some nearby. I do wish the lights were a little brighter in the bedroom (bathroom was good). A second lock would have also made me more comfortable however we didn’t have any negative issues in that regard but it would have been great peace of mind for us as female travellers.

Location was fantastic for going to see Phantom of the opera, very close to Piccadilly Circus tube station. Bus stops across the road. Great selection of restraints, fast food, cafes and shopping around. Myself and my daughter had a twin room, with A/C mini bar and lovely bathroom facilities. Shower lotions and creams smelled so nice. We were welcomed by a lovely girl called Kayla who gave up complementary Prosecco to celebrate my daughters 18th birthday. We had lovely fruit basket in the room also. Kayla helped us when we were looking for information about the tubes to the airport and she was so lovely to deal with. Beds were comfortable, nice heavy curtains to keep the light out. This place ticked all the boxes for us. We will certainly be back !!

We were not able to check in before 3pm, but staff tried hard to assist and were friendly offering refreshments at front desk and bathroom access. Once in our room, additional complimentary refreshments were brought to the room. Staff went out of their way to meet our every need, there is a bed turn down service, and a special complimentary delivery of a snack we commented on. It was truly a lovely stay.

Nothing!, We chose Shaftsbury Ave. as it was in the middle of the theatre district, so it is busy. London rooms are compact, this was quite comfy, though bathroom was tight.

Location was superb. Room had window which did face a church yard. Clock rang every hour but only from 8am till 10pm (I think!). All the amenities were good. Hotel felt like a Tardis!

We were at the end of the corridor so it was not too noisy and the guests were considerate however the sound proofing could have been better. Curtains were too long so ended up stepping on them. Not a problem in a bigger room but in central London when space is at premium, and hotel rooms are small, this small detail was a little annoying when trying to get round the bed. Carpet could have been hoovered a little more cleanly. It was clean but could have been a little cleaner. Same with the pad on the phone.

The hotel was amazing from start to finish. Our room was ready earlier than expected and the room was lovely. We had complimentary fruit in the room and the receptionist sent up some complimentary drinks and chocolates. They were so kind. My little girl drew them a picture and wrote a thank you note. When we checked out, they let us leave our bags to go explore london and when we returned for them gave us a gift bag of elemis treats and mini prosecco. Overall a fab stay. The heated bathroom floor was great in the cold. The mini bar was well stocked. I think the receptionist was Victoria? Apologies for not remembering but she was the best. Definitely deserves a bonus x

The hotel was a great find. Excellent position for West End shows. Room was lovely, very smart and great facilities. The complimentary fruit bowl was of excellent quality and very thoughtful. Staff were all lovely and helpful. Didn't use Gail's for breakfast but did go in there for coffee and a snack on the afternoon of arrival. The quality was very good but not what I personally would particularly like for to eat for breakfast. We did have a good deal on the room as we booked last minute. Wasn't cheap but was worth the money for such a lovely room and position. Would definitely use again.

Could hear sirens and traffic a bit at night as only had secondary glazing but the West End is a bit noisy at amy time. It did not stop me from sleeping.

The staff are very nice and friendly. They are the whole experience really. The room was fine size for London. Double bed was comfy. You could not hear the street noise all you could hear was a siren from police etc. it’s perfectly located in London for all the shows. The breakfast you get a voucher from reception for Gail’s cafe next door which does pastries and overnight oats etc. Don’t expect a hot cooked breakfast. It was fine for us.

The room next door 502 was so noisy they slammed the door every time and the first night they had the tv on loud. They were just noisy people. Nothing the hotel could do. I worked in hotels for years no point in saying anything.

We stayed at Montcalm for my husband's 60th birthday celebration and they could not have made it any more special than they did. A bottle of prosecco was waiting on ice in our room with a couple of soft drinks, the most delicious nuts and chocolate brownies. The room was immaculately clean and very comfortable. Our room was on the 4th floor facing Shaftesbury Avenue but the double glazing and secondary double glazing worked brilliantly at keeping out the street noise and therefore had very peaceful night's sleep. The staff were very helpful and friendly at all times. A great weekend and a great stay - thank you for all you did in making it special!

My friend and I (2 women) recently stayed at this wonderful hotel, and our experience was truly remarkable. The hotel's location is fantastic, safe, with plenty of places to go out to in the evenings in the surrounding streets, even late at night. Centrally located, it provided easy access to all the destinations we wanted to visit, and convenient transportation options around the city and to the airport. We stayed in a twin room, which was clean and comfortable. Adding to our convenience was a very good bakery right next door that offered decent vegan options. The hotel staff were exceptional – Aura, Frank, and especially Doina the manager, who went above and beyond to ensure our satisfaction throughout our stay. Despite a slight inconvenience at check-in (wrong room type), Doina promptly solved the issue and offered compensation without hesitation. Due to a last-minute change in our holiday dates, we needed to add one more night to our stay. Doina made a commendable effort to match our original pricing, even though we booked months in advance. All in all, this hotel provided an excellent experience, and I will definitely return on my next planned vacation with my family.
