This guest house was great, I liked the idea of 2 large ensuite bedrooms on the ground level and a well equipped kitchen for guest use. Not much is said on reviews , however, for the disabled and elderly when possibly different meals and times would be required, I don't know of many hotels offering this feature. My bedroom was perfect, and also the strict quietness of the home. The only thing that would be worth mentioning is to bring your own food, etc.The outside lawned and staff are very good...

A little guest house. 15 minutes to the nearest tram station. Common kitchen and some rooms. There was a laundry machine in the kitchen as well, not sure if available for guests but probably yes. Everything was fine, starting from quick communication (I had booked the room the same day), to smooth accommodation without reception, tea kettle and some teabags in the room, and a quiet night. I saw some complains from other users that there was a lot of noise, but maybe I was happy to have other guests well behaved, there were no problems with that.

The only problem I had was with my European standard phone charger, as all sockets were those of British standard. That was my responsibility of course, but on behalf of all foreign guests - would be great to have at least one European socket, or maybe USB port, somewhere in the kitchen :).

The house is confortable. Calm neighberhood.

Staff always responded practically straight away to messages and queries, always friendly and helpful. Room we stayed in (7, with a double bed and private bathroom) was comfortable and warm, we slept very well. The fridge in the shared kitchen was handy for storing our food overnight. Checking in and out was very simple, you can do it yourself. There are quite a few bus stops right by the guesthouse, but we also enjoyed just walking to the city centre, it took between 30-40 minutes.

Great place if you're staying for a few days here in Manchester. It's one of the cheapest options if you want your own room in a safe house. The check-in is done by yourself and I love how technological the door lock is. The wifi works well and everything else is clean. The manager responds really fast too, which is a plus. It's close to the bus station and you can even walk to the city center (Arndale, Picadilly etc) - 35 minutes. The cleaning lady is super lovely. Hope this gets to her :)

I liked the size of the room and the facilities. The only concern I had as a single women was the kitchen door to the garden was broken. This meant that anyone could access inside the house by climbing the garden wall and entering through the broken/open door. Which was very unnerving. This could affect me staying here in future as I didn't feel safe because of this. Dorothy the cleaner was lovely and very helpful.

I didn't like the fact the kitchen door was broken .So anyone could access the premises all night. Which is dangerous being a lone female.

The location was pretty convenient for myself as it was a good short distance away from the centre I had to go to. It was also walking distance away from the Manchester United stadium which was excellent. The place wasn't at all noisy and I found myself lucky to have found such a great place to stay during my trip to Manchester.

The only thing I had an issue with, though it wasn't a big deal by any means...was that the showerhead in the bathroom was broken. It had a crack and was leaking, affecting the water pressure but it was still useable. That is all!

ATTENTION! MUST READ This hotel exceeded my expectations. It is definitely 10/10. They must have given me the best room ever. It has a private bathroom inside and access to the garden. You can have your coffee and relax in the best possible way. I love everything about Bankwell Guest House. It is quiet, safe, very clean and lovely. When I saw the hotel on booking.com in the first place, the overall marking was around 7. But let me tell you the truth guys, it’s not 7 at all. It should be 10! I highly recommend everybody to stay at Bankwell Guest House if you visit Manchester. Love it! NOTHING! Everything is perfect.

I got sent the code for the front door and the code for the lockbox that was associated with my room. The room was exactly what I needed for one night and to be honest I'd have probably stayed there for up to 4 nights. I didn't try the TV but the bed was comfy, wardrobe had plenty of hangers and there was a kettle for tea/coffee in the room. The bathroom was a shared bathroom and it was clean. It felt like I was staying at a friend's house and I liked that vibe.

Nobody was on sight to ask questions and when I tried to call the number provided I never got a response. I'd wanted to check in at 3pm but no answer to my phone calls and I didn't get my access codes until half 4. I had to be somewhere at 6pm so if I'd waited until half 4 to start getting ready I would have been late but luckily I was able to get ready somewhere else. The bed was mega squeaky but honestly, for what I paid and what I needed it for - amazing value and great location. Would definitely stay again.
