What a lovely stay! The hotel is situated in a refurbished warehouse, which means lots of space and original design - this much we knew from the information we found online before booking. What we only found out at the spot was how convenient the location was (very close to one of the main Manchester train stations, within easy walking distance to a lot of the city sights and with plentiful communication links to the ones more further away) and how nice the people working there will turn out to be. A special shout out to the stubbled gentleman that worked the breakfast shift - he was exceptional.

The place was generally much better than anticipated when it comes to soundproofing (for example, we didn't hear a single thing from the refurbishment works that are taking place on a couple of the floors), but one exception was when some disruptive guests spent one night in the room next to us, smoking, banging the doors and shouting long into the night. Of course, that's not the hotel's fault, with the personnel taking steps to curb this behaviour.

We had a really lovely stay at this hotel apartment. We were upgraded to a 1 bedroom apartment, which was a pleasant delight. It felt like we were staying in our own flat as it was very comfortable and had a homey feel. The apartment was very clean, not one speck of dust. We were on the first floor which wasn't bad with the music playing on the ground floor - Staff are really friendly - Great central location I would defo come back when I'm next in Manchester

Dim lighting TV flickered/buffered throughout the stay It would be good to have robes, bathroom slippers, normal toiletry supplies Shower hose not particularly strong Heating takes a while to heat up due to large room space Other than those I would still come back :-)

The building is a beautiful renovation of an old industrial space, a really lovely concept, well executed. Our room was a generous size and was well equipped. We stayed a couple of nights but it would have been comfortable for a longer stay. Reception staff were warm, friendly and helpful.

There was some street noise that we hadn't expected as we'd chosen this location to avoid it and it's not mentioned on other reviews. On Saturday night we were woken up twice in the night by shouting from the street (we were on Second Floor, probably better in a higher room). There was no traffic noise, that was fine. We could also hear quite ordinary low level conversation through the living room wall from the neighbouring apartment, that really was a surprise. As it says in some other reviews, the heater in the living room isn't big enough to cope with a cold evening (even in April) and we had to wear our coats on one of the two nights. The bedroom is a smaller area and did warm up nicely.

The building is fantastic! A typical old red break factory/warehouse building, presumably from Manchester's industrial heyday that as I understand it, went into decay for many years. What the developers have done with this building is remarkable, keeping the best of the old and combining it with a modern, comfortable interior. The central space where the rooms are is a truly liminal space that's great for taking photos! The room was very comfortable, and had the same cool red brick/powder blue-painted metal support structure vibe of the building combined with modern furnishings. Bed is really big, which I appreciated as I don't think I'd slept in one that big before. Because it's a hotel, I didn't expect the food and drinks to be as good as they are because hotels typically have a captive audience who will buy the food because it's convenient. However, I was extremely impressed with the coffee and breakfast served - truly fresh and delicious! The first morning I took it up to the room and the second I sat in the restaurant, which was well-attended by the staff. It's just a shame I wasn't staying for longer to try everything on the breakfast menu :) Everyone at the hotel was friendly, it has a cool vibe, it's by the canal which is nice, and the location is very central. I would not hesitate to stay here again if I'm ever in Manchester. I could easily stay here for days or weeks, highly recommended!

Nothing really, honestly!

Loved the space and design. Spotlessly clean. Excellent location for accessing the city centre. Parking beneath was convenient. Someone is clearly passionate about making an innovative space that supports independent business and venture. The welcome was unfortunately not very warm and there was an issue finding our booking. The key card stopped working after one night but this was solved by staff really quickly. The noise from outside was loud throughout the night. Aircon would have been great so we didn't have to keep the window open. There was no coffee machine as advertised.

Unbelievable apartment with beautiful views, more than a hotel, incredible luxury! Staff were lovely, kind and incredibly accommodating! Dead centre and felt like it was close to everything, a short walk from everything we wanted. We were offered an upgrade to the penthouse which was incredible! Honestly we were sad to leave and I don’t think I’ll stay anywhere else when I visit Manchester from now on! Will be recommending to all my clients, family and friends! Downstairs in the lobby had such a great atmosphere during the day it seems to be a very popular area for working, meeting with clients and friends, or a great place to eat! At night it’s almost like it becomes a perfect place for classy drinks, a great restaurant and an amazing place to spend your evenings with music and friends Just unbelievable

I didn't like that we had to leave at the end of the stay

Location was excellent, about 4 minutes walk from Manchester Piccadilly station. The hotel is in an amazing conversion of a 19th Century warehouse. I loved the sensitive conversion and the industrial bones on view even in the new kitchens and bar area on the ground floor. The size of the room (really an apartment) was amazing and I particularly liked the wrought iron beams and brick arches. Everything was spotlessly clean, and the kitchen along one wall was well equipped. I plan to come back and stay with my family.

It wasn't at first obvious where the reception was. A couple of the dispensers in the bathroom didn't work properly. But these were tiny niggles compared to the overall experience.

Liked the vibe of the hotel and the size of it. It was very young and hip, perfect for a city break or a couples trip but just missed out on the basics. Service with a smile and promptness with service.

The breakfast was a strange experience, everything on offer was edgy and all menu items came with a personality. The sour dough provided for breakfast was rock hard and I felt strange and out of place going down to breakfast at half 7 (which is later then normal) and having to stand there waiting as if it was too early for staff to even think about serving for breakfast. Yet there was also no other guests there for breakfast, it was so bizarre. Also I the first room I was given I walked into there was this poor young women who was clearly staying in that room. She got the fright of her life seeing my open her door and coming down the dark corridor!

The room was very large and comfortable. The staff were very friendly and helpful! I had recommendations for brunch and attractions in the neighbourhood with me when I checked in. When we told them the heater was out, they immediately offered another room with a portable heater.

There were a few deficiencies in the room's facilities and amenities, including the heater not working and a shortage of rubbish bins and toilet paper. It was very cold during our stay and the heating didn't work, luckily the hotel wasn't fully booked so we spoke to the reception and they immediately offered us the option to move to the room next door.

Staff welcoming and helpful. Great location in Manchester. Fabulous sound system in bar area. Room very spacious and lovely decor. The bed was huge & super comfy. The kitchen area is equipped with everything you need , and we certainly made the most of the toaster and kettle after our nights out. The bathroom had lots of storage space, and the pressure on the shower was pretty good. Would definitely stay again and will be recommending to friends.

Can't really fault anything, but it would have been good to have a long length mirror in the bedroom. However, you could nip out to the mirrors beside the lift on your floor to check yourself out( 😅) The bar downstairs can get a tad busy so we had to wait a while to get served, however we did stay when there was a lot going on in the city but it was busy everywhere, so actually not that big of a deal.
