We had a free upgrade to a junior suite! So such a lovely room. Staff were very friendly (mainly). Lovely surroundings, quiet & picturesque. Great location for us visiting family. Breakfast had a reasonable selection. Coffee machine in bedroom & microwave??. Decor stately home type.

Freezing bedrooms! (Couldn’t turn storage heaters on). Bed very squeaky so woke you up. Bathroom dated. Reception guy very slow. Only 1 each pillow & had to ask twice to get more. Breakfast was alright but not great, canteen style, solid eggs! Sausages poor quality. Small selection of cereal & fruit. Very few disabled car parking spaces. Bar closed early as card reader failed. Restaurant & bar food stops early like 9pm.

The room was absolutely fine. We had a great view. It was a mother and daughter trip so we did spend a lot of time in the pool which was great. The only downside was the evening meal that we had on our last night £17.99 per person we had only an hour as there wasn’t many people booked in, the food was not good at all very dry. The starters didn’t seem to make sense for example there was pate but nothing to put the pate on, the desserts were totally dry and inedible, we definitely wouldn’t be eating at the restaurant again, which is unfortunate as it is convenient that it’s there but it was a letdown.

Large comfortable room, everywhere very tidy. I had a good nights sleep and the shower was excellent. Went for their evening meal and breakfast package, and whilst I did not expect much for this I really was very pleasantly surprised. As a stopover on business it worked well. The place was rammed, and behind the smiles the staff were clearly a little too few in number and working their socks off, but it worked, it worked really well and I enjoyed my stay. I had seen reviews stating the food wasn't great, but at this price point what do you expect- it is genuinely superb value

I appreciate the extras need to cost extra to make money, but wifi should be incorporated in the main costs- the communal areas were full of people on the communal free wifi getting work done.

Location. ,stayed here before , much improved Wi-Fi situation …I asked to change my room and the staff were really helpful and changed it … food was good , had a breakfast and an evening meal .Staff great .

?.30 for a Kit Kat and a Mars bar …the parking situation always makes me feel like I’m going to be towed ,got some renegade parking company running it… Britannia have got a great place here, but the mentality of the company is really strange..They do some cheap skate things that takes the edge off what could make yr stays great ..It used to be the Wi-Fi ,and happily they’ve sorted that …

The historical Building gave a feeling of grandieur;a very special place. Also nostalgic because my sister was born there in 1945 when it was a hospital. The room was comfortable. But I was surprised that the room received no attention after my first night. I received excellent help in carrying my luggage to & from my car,by a lady receptionist from Rumania who was very pleasant & helpful,& another Gentleman on Tuesday morning who was likewise.

See above. Also the TV Controller was difficult to transmit instructions to the TV Set. On my first morning, the breakfast food was lukewarm,& the Bacon was very hard. The second morning was better.

This is a beautiful hotel in a stunning location. We revisited for a night to celebrate our wedding anniversary 26 years after actually getting married at Bosworth Hall. The staff are all wonderful, friendly and knowledgeable. The ambience of the hotel is is very elegant, with classic décor and furnishings. Bar prices are very reasonable at £12.50 for a pint of lager and a large glass of wine. We didn't eat there in the evening but the breakfast was really good, freshly baked pastries and a good selection of cooked breakfast items. The grounds are absolutely stunning and well worth a nice stroll.

We felt our room had started to get a little dated and missing some of the more up to date facilities like USB sockets and a shower cubicle rather than a shower over a bath tub. Fitted bedside lights instead of a large bedside lamp would have given a bit more room on the bedside table. There was also a shortage of accessible sockets, most were hidden behind furniture.

Beautiful room in the old part of the hotel. Large tv. Fridge box of chocolates comfy bed it was all perfect

We arrived a little early and said we would have a drink. Bar was not open, so we were directed to the health spa. I stood at the bar for a good 5 min while the only member of staff appeared to be signing up a new spa customer. Another member of staff appeared, and I asked for to Chai lattes. She stated she didn't know how to do that and went. It was around a further 10 min before the other member of staff completed the sign up. When she came over, she said "yes pleass". N ot sorry to keep you waiting for 15 min or so. As this was before we checked into our amazing room, it was not the best first impression

The exterior and grounds of this hotel are really beautiful and extensive to walk around with the dog. There are ravens at the water tower which was interesting and I really loved how they lit up all the spooky trees around the grounds. It would be perfect for an older couple wanting to stay somewhere in beautiful countryside but not too difficult or far to walk. We enjoyed the lovely Country Park too where there at lots of mature trees and birds. The location is also excellent for other more challenging walking places such as croft quarry and we also went to Bradgate Country Park which is an awesome landscape with all kinds of deer including red deer and also good for birds. For the price we didn't expect much and the room was basic which is expected with a dog, so we were pleasantly surprised by how lovely the location is. There are some really nice cafes in the historic little town nearby like maison rose which we'd thoroughly recommend. We only stayed as we wanted a couple of days somewhere different but not too far from Cambs, so we're pleasantly surprised by what Leicestershire has to offer. The pool is also a bonus, you do have to pay about 4 quid as its a separate business across the gardens but well worth it and you can have massages etc if you like. The interior of the hotel is less grand but functional and nice, the exterior looks great as it is set up for weddings, we were quite impressed by how well kept it all was. We came in the Autumn and quite enjoyed the spooky vibes of the tower and grounds, but would definitely come back again in summer.

Room was a bit hot but did at least have a proper window to open, and there was a fan which we used. Most staff were friendly but reception staff seemed a bit stressed and busy, fair enough if it was a bad day but would be nice to have a warmer greeting! Beware if you are coming in the evening as the restaurants close quite early, but we ordered pizza locally one night which was more fun anyway!

Needed somewhere to stay at last minute and this place was the cheapest in the area. Our room was small buy very comfy beds and gave us everything we needed, including a window we could actually open to cool the room down.

This hotel used to be known as one of best in the area but these days it is very dated and run down. It is the cheapest in the area and as such attracts a different clientele. There were definitely a few dodgy characters staying there. Our room was very small was an extremely old bathroom and plumbing. Another negative is that you have to pay for WiFi if you wanted to use it in your room.

Breakfast was excellent and staff very kind and helpful. We love this hotel because there are lots of pleasant places to sit when spending time in the hotel. We made this booking as we were visiting family in a village 3 miles away, I was concerned when I realised there were discos and tribute nights on over the weekend but I have to say there was no noise whatsoever to be heard in our part of the hotel. We stayed there five nights in total and were very happy.
