One of the lifts weren’t working.

Having read some of the less favourable reviews of this hotel we were a bit worried, but we didn't need to be. Central location, just across from Central Station and near bars, shops and Metro. The Staff were helpful (no quibbles when I requested a room away from the lifts), clean & spacious room, comfy bed & good shower. There was plenty to choose from at breakfast. The soundproofing in the room was really good, so the fact that the hotel is located in a busy area was not an issue. It was good that the hotel had its own little bar area & drink prices were reasonable.

Heating system in the room was not very efficient.

It is almost facing the main train/bus station so it is incredibly handy. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Good comfortable lobby to sit and relax in. Which is great when you have time to kill after check out. Our standouts were the comfortable beds and the ‘make your own’ waffle machines at breakfast.

The reception/lobby is on the first floor. If stairs are an issue for you, or you have suitcases, it can be quite a wait on either of the two small lifts to get to reception. Newcastle is obviously a popular place for hen/stag parties, and it can get a bit dodgy quite early on a Saturday. I can see why the hotel has a security guard on the door on a Friday and Saturday night!

Liam and mark the staff who were on nights when we were there we’re absolutely amazing and brilliant. The morning staff were a bit more rigid but professional. But couldn’t fault mark and Liam thankyou for making our stay as nice and welcoming as you guys did. Property was clean good and amazing staff

Should have security on downstairs all night

Excellent location if travelling by train and they have secure storage for luggage which was very helpful for us. Comfortable and clean room. I liked the city centre view. We were on a fairly high floor and were not disturbed by any noise outside or inside. Staff were friendly and very helpful. Breakfast was pretty good with a large selection.

We couldn't get the aircon working in our room, but to be fair we didn't raise this with reception until we checked out so can't really complain. The fruit at breakfast was mostly tinned rather than fresh, not really a complaint but fresh would have been nicer :)

The hotel was easy to find, opposite the train station. The room looked exactly like the photo on booking. com, bed was very comfy, and we had a good night sleep. The shower was easy to use and big, no need to take shower gel or shampoo/conditioner as they were all provided and are eco-friendly. We stayed for magic weekend and had a lovely time. Breakfast is buffet style and high quality. You even have the choice of waffles. We arrived 2 hours early and we didn't have to wait for our room.

The man who booked us in on reception might benefit from a refresher course on customer service. No welcoming smile or chitchat. The view from our room was of the bin yard. When Shannon contacted us to check if all okay, we were offered a better view, which we declined. The parking is a rip off, we should have paid £33 for 72 hours, and we paid £36. It is cheaper to pay up front and get the £35 ticket.

Location is perfect for those travelling by train as literally over the road. The breakfast buffet was much better than expected with an excellent selection in all categories. One always worries that the hot food will suffer from staying too long in the buffet bar, but this was not the case. I booked a room with the walk in shower, as being elderly and find walking a little difficult sometimes , it is needed . I was very happy. Also on check in was asked if there were any mobility problems and one of the staff took details so that in the event of fire , I knew the procedure so that assistance could be given . I thought this superb ! It is in the heart of the city which is very crowded , but I didn`t ( 4th floor ) find noise a problem.

There is not a restaurant for evening meals , although there are plenty around close by. Lift is a bit on the small side.

Check-in was very quick and efficient. Was able to access my room early as it was ready when I arrived and I was able to leave my bags free of charge upon checking out as my train did not depart for a number of hours. Good variety buffet breakfast including a good selection of cooked food, along with cereals, croissants, fruit, etc. Hotel location was brilliant. it is across the road from Newcastle Central Station and pretty much next door to the Metro system. It is only a 5-10 minute walk into the Town Centre. There are multiple eating and drinking places nearby and you are very close to the Bigg Market which seems to be the main thoroughfare at the weekend. Got very busy but were still getting served pretty quickly. Absolutely cracking system with very friendly people. Pints in the city centre were about £6 on average.

Nothing really. Only thing is that when you go in to the hotel it isn't signposted very well for how to get to reception on the 2nd Floor

The great thing about this hotel is it's straight across from the main railway station and also has a metro station right outside too. The staff who were on that day and evening of the 27th May were excellent and very helpful. We arrived early and the young girl said she had a room ready on the seventh floor, it was great as we were nice and quiet up there ( no street noise ) It's just a short walk towards the shopping centre The breakfast was plentiful and lots of choices. I would definitely stay here again and I've already recommended it to people and friends.

Slight smell of drains, it had been quite strong in the main ground floor. But not there fault. Bar menu limited, would have liked more choices.
