Having read some of the less favourable reviews of this hotel we were a bit worried, but we didn't need to be. Central location, just across from Central Station and near bars, shops and Metro. The Staff were helpful (no quibbles when I requested a room away from the lifts), clean & spacious room, comfy bed & good shower. There was plenty to choose from at breakfast. The soundproofing in the room was really good, so the fact that the hotel is located in a busy area was not an issue. It was good that the hotel had its own little bar area & drink prices were reasonable.
Heating system in the room was not very efficient.

Liam and mark the staff who were on nights when we were there we’re absolutely amazing and brilliant. The morning staff were a bit more rigid but professional. But couldn’t fault mark and Liam thankyou for making our stay as nice and welcoming as you guys did. Property was clean good and amazing staff
Should have security on downstairs all night

The location was excellent, next to the train station and a short walk to the shops and restaurants. Breakfast was nice and fresh plenty of choice. Staff very pleasant and helpful. The Room was lovely and warm.
Different towel hooks as the towels kept falling on the floor.

Good location to Central Station, town, restaurants, Quayside area. Room clean, quiet despite being very busy and lots of people outside, on 6th floor didn’t hear anything other than a couple of doors shutting. Good waffle machine! Breakfast staff chatty and friendly.
Breakfast could be better, fresh orange juice very watery, croissants not heated (was a sign saying they could be but too busy to find someone to ask), little fruit, busiest morning we stayed only one coffee machine working. Light switches in room were right by door, difficult to get the toilet light right in middle of night.

Pretty much everything! Our room and bathroom were spacious and clean, and the extra bed was very comfy. The staff were so lovely and friendly, even though they had a lot of visitors to deal with all at once. They let us check in early and leave our bags there all day on our day of departure. The breakfast was absolutely delicious, and free and unlimited! It was also shocked at how quiet it was, given that it is in the city centre (just across the road from the train station - the perfect location!). I could not recommend this hotel highly enough!
Nothing not to love! The only very minor inconvenience was that one of the lifts wasn't working, and they were quite small, so it took a while to get up and down from the sixth floor... It would also have been nice if the room had a bottle opener somewhere (e.g. on the side of the desk). But this aside, our experience could not have been any better!

Great location right opposite train station. Lots of bars close by and main attractions. Rooms were comfortable clean and well stocked and could easily get additional tea and coffee for in room kettle if run out. Breakfast buffet was really good and well stocked with staff making sure everything was kept clean. Good gym facilities.
This is not the hotels fault and more a sad reflection of the times we are in but this was the first hotel in the UK I have stayed at with a security guard on the door. He was checking that everyone entering the hotel at night was on the guest list. He was friendly and in good spirits and once he had seen you once he seemed to recognize you. A new and slightly odd experience but I fully understand why the hotel needed to take this measure and added a level of reassurance

Great breakfast- plenty of choice. Super friendly and helpful staff. Plenty of hot water and good shower pressure. Room was well equipped with all the usual items. Linen and towels spotless. Hotel conveniently located and near plenty of restaurants.
Bed was rock hard! Had to phone reception once for towels- housekeeping had taken them even though they were hung up for re- use, and once for milk- not replenished on the tea tray.

Would definitely stay here again. Such a good central location. The room was really nice and we were undisturbed by city noise when we returned later that evening. Would definitely use here again for overnight in Newcastle. Everything in walking distance and right by the train station if using train.
The only shame was we parked, we gave our registration number at check in and this was supposed to discount our parking charge. However when we got to the car park it charged us full rate. Given it’s about a 10 mins walk, it was freezing cold and we had cases - we just stumped up the charge and didn’t go back to query it, which I guess we could have. Just a shame it didn’t work as it was meant to which meant the parking was rather expensive

Location is excellent. Room size was adequate (ok for two, a bit squeezed for 3). A very quiet room on the sixth floor. Shower is excellent, and lovely white fluffy towels. Good housekeeping. Good wi-fi reception in the room. Tea / coffee making fair. Would be good to include hot chocolate. The room has a safe too. The man on reception was very helpful. (sorry, don't know name). Breakfast is good. (see below). Great to have a waffle maker! Nice to have a bar area to be able to have a drink. (It was such dreadful weather outside to go far!) A doorman was on the main entrance door in the evening on the Saturday night - this is reassuring!
Only one lift working. The woman on reception ignored us trying to check in when she took a delivery driver away (even a 'I'll not be a minute' would have done). My booking was not upgraded on the system (though I'd had confirmation emails)and I had to ask for the sofa bed to be made up, extra towels, cup and glass for the room. These requests were dealt with immediately, but could have already been in place. The sofa bed is NOT comfortable! Tinned grapefruit and tinned mandarin oranges for breakfast - disappointing for the fruit selection (though there are apples and bananas). Wi-fi not good in main reception area.
