Good location, close to the Tyne river and bridges and bars and restaurants on the Quayside. 10 min walk uphill to Newcastle city centre. Bright, clean, good size room, with quiet air con. Good service and comfortable. As a solo traveler I booked the cheapest room with a view of the brick walled building next door, but I knew that from reading some reviews, however the room is functional. 9/10

Limited choice at breakfast, but fair. There is a lack of care and attention for cooked food, as fresh hot food is piled on top of older cold food, therefore you can be lucky or unlucky to get a hot English breakfast. Although you can order an omelette or whatever from the kitchen. Only one coffee machine is available for all guests so you may have to queue. For guests preferring a continental breakfast, you may be disappointed with the choice, however breakfast area is spacious and clean. 7/10

Excellent location, right on the waterfront. Superb river view from the "Innside Room with River View". Fabulous breakfast. Lovely and helpful staff. Easy walking distance to many sites, and areas of interest. Highly recommend staying here.

Nothing. However, if you are arriving by train with the heavy suitcase, please be aware that easy 0.5mile walking distance (as by Google Maps) is dangerously misleading. Yes, walk easy till the last 50m, when you can see the hotel in front of you and it is separated “only” by very steep 100 steps downhill….Yes, it was challenging… 😊

All of it. Open contemporary, overlooking the Tyne. Views and so close to town but far enough away from any noise in the centre. Big bright rooms with all facilities Hairdryer, fridge, air con, kettle, tv. Big bed daily house keeping. Great restaurant Gino’s and bar. Quiet rooms for good night sleep one hotel that doesn’t have noisy residents arriving all hours of the night. Staff that work tirelessly to keep you comfortable and Dan and his team do a grand job. Josh lively to see you again. Jade and Megan very helpful. Whey Aye man we will be back. 6th time stayed and it’s still great. 🌟

Not a fan of rooms with a view either a frosted Glass panel looking out. Would want a reduction in room price if I got one of those if it was a river view room as it’s half a view! A snack with the tea/coffee would be lovely. Cocktails in happy hour to be alcoholic not nonalcoholic.

Staff were friendly, Stacey checked us in and was really polite and helpful, when we checked out staff were equally as polite. The hotel had a really nice atmosphere, the lobby was clean as was the room. The facilities in the room were great the free drinks in the fridge were an added bonus. Staff in the restaurant/bar were attentive and the drinks were lovely, prices as you would expect in a hotel. The beds were comfortable and well lit, even though there were no windows that could be opened there was a fan/air con which was great. We parked in a public car park right next to the hotel, charges were reasonable and reflected what you would expect within a city. The location is really good for those who want to visit the centre, would recommend a trip to The Dubliner pub which is just down the road from the hotel.

Nothing, an excellent trip

The staff were friendly in the main. Breakfast was good. We paid £10 extra per night for a room with a view of the Tyne. We did like the layout of the bathroom - toilet separate, shower separate. Good use of space. Person using the loo did not prevent the other having a shower or using the basin.

On check in we were given a 'voucher' for 10% of dinner bill in the restaurant. The final bill was presented to us with the 10% deducted, but 10% service charge added. It therefore seemed that we had saved nothing by dining there. Would have preferred no voucher and discretionary service charge. The service that evening was poor, so we dined out the next night.

Location is fab, right on the waterfront. Beds are huge and comfy It was my birthday and a bottle of prosecco was left for us with everything in the mini fridge complimentary. Check in and out was super quick and easy with friendly staff Our shower wasn't draining properly on our first morning but after reporting this if was fixed straight away Didn't use it but great gym facilities for a hotel

Service at Ginos We sat outside just wanting a drink. Waited ages and noone came. Eventually the manager came out with a waitress and was talking loudly to her about the 3 tables that had just sat down and hadn't been served yet which included us. He literally pointed at us. Yet still noone came to take our order so we just left

We arrived an originally booked a standard double. When we checked we were upgraded to a suite with a river view. Free of charge. The room was amazing, fantasic view of the quay side and close to all the bars and restaurants. The mini fridge was a massive bonus. And FREE!! YOU ALSO GET 10% DISCOUNT IN GINOS RESTAURANT ATTACHED TO INNSIDE MELIA..

Air con in room, was on constant quite cold. To find we couldnt turn it to heat mode rather than fan.. the tv, all the channels were mixed up some missing, no options for netflix etc. There was no opening windows either so you couldnt hear the hustle and bustle of the quayside. The extras in the room for example. Milk sachets. Only 4? Wasnt enough for 1 cup of coffee. Could maybe add more. The toilet felt like it was going to come away from the wall. Also and finally the breakfast was 17pp not what we expected at all. Very standard. Especially for the price.

Away from middle of town. Quite nights sleep besides a beautiful Tyne and its bridges. Views of at night are amazing and from your window if a river view it’s just superb.

just a little inconvenient unable to use first floor toilets. The whole of first floor was occupied by certain guests (twice now in this August weekend when we have stayed. Would like a little snack to be left in the room if possible. Biscuit like other hotels with the hot refreshment drinks. Nit keen on the rooms with a completely frosted out glass window (due to overlook another room)

Love the location, we have stayed twice before & always had great experiences

This time we arrived early at 1:30. We know check in isn’t until 3pm but as we had a special occasion that afternoon we thought we might be able to get into our room earlier to change for our son’s graduation. The front of desk said they would prioritise our room & to keep checking back but that it would definitely be ready for 3pm. 3pm came & the room still wasn’t ready. We waited & when we eventually got our keys we met the cleaner finishing off the room. Restaurant is looking tired & worn. Bench seating in main restaurant is grubby & would benefit from a clean.

The hotel was very sleek and modern, located directly adjacent to the River Tyne with great views looking along the river towards the Tyne Bridge to the west. Upon arrival at circa 13:00, we were offered early check-in as a similar room to what we had booked was available. We went to the Gino D'Acampo Restaurant Bar for an Aperetif during "Happy Hour" before we headed elsewhere for dinner, and later had another drink in the bar. We had breakfast included in our booking which was buffet style, with an "egg station" where you could order extras such as omelettes, fried or poached eggs. The breakfast was great and the restaurant/bar is nice and bright.

We went to the Gino D'Acampo Restaurant Bar for an Aperetif during "Happy Hour" before we headed elsewhere for dinner. However, despite the "Happy Hour" being advertised around the hotel: at reception, in the lift/elevator etc., the bar and waiting staff didn't appear to know much about it but thankfully i had taken a photo of the menu during check-in so they honoured the prices. I did feel that they should be more aware of the deals/offers, and customers should be notified when they arrive and not made to feel like they were asking for anything out of the ordinary.
