I am going to be completely honest about my experience here. Upon arrival at this place I thought, this is NOT going to be a good experience, you have the feeling that its going to be some party bar and I am not going to get any sleep. You have to pay for parking but you are given a badge (of sorts) to put on your dashboard and you park behind the hotel. We were upgraded to a room that was RIGHT above the Bar where there was some loud music playing , upon getting in the room it became very apparent that someone had done a phenomenal job on the insulation in this building. It was completely silent!! We had a beautiful view over the Golf course and the Atlantic. its a really short walk down the hill to the beach and there is a building there with multiple restaurants inside. Outside and indoor seating options. Breakfast was free unless you wanted a cooked breakfast which was really nice.

Very near the beach, great location Fab front facing room with fabulous view and breakfast and evening meal we’re delicious

The reception lady (dark hair) was quite rude didn’t really speak to us attall, not very friendly and no customer service skills, no welcome didn’t tell us anything about the hotel times breakfast etc, we have stayed there before and she was the same last time, when we were leaving there was another light haired lady and she was the complete opposite very friendly indeed

We have just come back from 4 nights in the oceanside lifestyle hotel. We had the basic double it was clean bed was comfy and big and just rt for us as we love getting out and about. The hotel is so very near to fistral beach I mean a few minutes in fact outside in the really welcoming outside area you can see the sea. Also we enjoyed lovely weather so that meant just before bed we sat outside and there were 3 fires in the. Front tables so nice. The staff were lovely especially some of the young bar staff so chatty and helpful all staff were helpful. The hotel is not cheap but affordable in such a lovely area as I say near beach front. We are deffo going again. Can't wait

I can't say anything bad as it's a lovely ordinary hotel with ordinary people running it and that makes you feel at home

Super hotel in a wonderful position on the Fistral headland. The staff were incredibly friendly, welcoming and helpful. We had a lovely room with a gorgeous sea view. The moules were the best thing on the menu - delicious.

The bed wasn’t that comfortable and the pillows not soft enough, however that said I did sleep well and the hotel was lovely and quiet. But a softer pillow option would be good for future. The hair dryer in my room didn’t work and a replacement one didn’t work either. Hooks on the bathroom door would have been helpful. These are only small things and I really enjoyed staying here and would come back again.

Second time coming here. Great location, tasty food, dog friendly, majority of staff very polite and welcoming and all seemed to be dog lovers. Breakfast was included in room cost and you can choose from continental buffet or hot food. You can help yourself to both if you want. Beautiful views from the balcony - can see a lovely golf course and fistral beach. To the back of the hotel there are more lovely views cliffside. Room was very clean upon arrival. The restaurant downstairs is very beautiful and aesthetically pleasing.

Food very expensive, beds were quite hard and uncomfortable as well as pillows. We asked for some tea and coffee for the room twice and never received any after being told they will be right up. There were a couple of staff members who were a bit blunt and not majorly welcoming when we arrived first day. Another family experienced this with the young waitress too and ended up leaving the restaurant.

This is probably the best hotel experience we've ever had and possibly the best we will ever have. The staff was amazing. They are not just 'pet friendly' they love dogs and made as much effort to make them feel welcome as their owners which in turn made us feel even more welcome. The room was lovely, clean and comfortable. We had no view but didn't need one as we spent very little time in the room. The hotel is brilliantly located next to Fistral Beach with lovely sands, surfing, swimming and restaurants yet it's only 10 minutes walk to the centre of Newquay and two additional swimming beaches. We had a smashing breakfast before we left and dined in the hotel on one of our evenings there.

Location was perfect for both beaches, shops, restaurants, etc. but tucked away from the busy high street so quiet at night. Social areas were very welcoming and the general atmosphere was very relaxed. Loved having a pool table! Room was spacious for 3 adults with plenty of storage space. Breakfast was lovely and having it included in the price was very much appreciated.

Bathroom was superficially nice but shower soaked the walls, etc due to inadequate screen. Window case was broken so constant draught and sound of wind howling - not a big deal on a hot July weekend thankfully! No blind in bathroom so felt like it lacked privacy.

From the minute yor reach reception the staff are very lovely friendly and helpful . My room what can i say but WOW Talkabout first impressions what a room probebly the nicest hotel room ive stayed in and ive stayed in a few . The room was a very good size clean and the bed and pillows were very comfy and had a fridge which was a bonus . What made this room so special was the view. The weather was very hot and sunny and the room had a good size balcony which was just so nice to sit outside with a drink and look at the view and the sea . The room only had a compact bathroom but the shower was lovely good pressure and good size, The hotel had plenty of parking behind the hotel . The hotel was only a short walk into town. The food from the restaurant was lovely had the steak and a good selection of drinks.

Leaving

The staff were very friendly and had great hospitality, it was my partner’s birthday and they helped prepare the room for her as a surprise, they really went the extra mile for this and the rest of the trip! The food in the restaurant/bar for breakfast was excellent and the quality of ingredients was superb. There was ample parking available at the back of the hotel. The location was perfect for local walks around the area and a close walk away from the Newquay shops and restaurants. As the hotel was dog friendly, our dog was welcome in most places of the hotel and was treated like a member of the family by the staff.

The location was brilliant. Close to the Fistral Beach Bar complex - though bear in mind that out of peak season many restaurants and shops only seem to open later in the week (perhaps Thu-Sun). Walking distance of both Newquay town centre and the Sainsbury’s supermarket. Easy walking to Fistral Beach, Little Fistral and the Towan headland. It was good to be able to park off the road in a dedicated car park area at the rear (I don’t think there are any points there for charging electric vehicles though). At the time we stayed (beginning of March 2025, Sun-Wed), the hotel was quiet. I would expect it to be much busier later in the season. Our room was on the first floor over the bar area and I can imagine that in peak season the music and conversations from that area might be more disruptive than it was when we stayed. I can’t comment on the food - we didn’t eat at the hotel during our stay. We sourced our own breakfasts and because of the time of year and days of week, no evening meals were available. The bar area was nice for drinks though! There is a terrace at the front outside the bar area that looked very inviting with outside heaters at one or more tables but it was not quite warm enough yet for us to sit out in the evening. Hardier souls seemed to enjoy it though! There were beautiful sunsets over Fistral each night (weather permitting). The bed was comfy, and the room had a view over the golf course and the sea. The room was clean, had a little fridge, ample power sockets including USB charging slots. Almost everyone we met who worked at the hotel went out of their way to be very friendly and helpful.

There was little to dislike.
