From the moment Margaret came to book.us in it felt extremely welcoming, and within minutes, we were chatting as if we'd known each other years. The foyer is very impressive, but when we opened our room door, the opulence of it was breathtaking. It seems no expense has been spared to make your stay comfortable and in stunning surroundings. Our breakfast was excellent. The food was hot, very well presented and nothing was too much trouble. Margaret or Owen doing their bit and chatting to guests with plenty of suggestions. To help make your stay the best experience you could have. We can't express how impressed we were. We've stayed in four different hotels on this trip alone, and this was in a different league. The added extra of a cosy, intimate bar with a pool table was a definite plus. A place to have a nightcap and a game of pool to relax you was great. The interaction between us and Margaret and Owen was like old friends meeting up again. I can not express how welcoming we felt. We ate out, and instead of staying out in a pub, we always headed back to the hotel bar and a friendly chat with our hosts. I wish I could rate higher than a ten as this was above and beyond.

From the minute we walked through the door, we had the warmest welcome. Honestly one of the best guesthouses we have ever stayed in. If you are looking for a place in Newquay, look no further this place is amazing along with the owners and the Staff. Every single member was so friendly and would go out of their way to help you. Thank you all so much for an amazing stay. We will be back.

The room was a little small, but at the same time had absolutely everything that you would need. This is the only thing I can say for this section as everything was absolutely amazing

Warmly welcomed by Owen, got there quite late as a very long drive. Kindly gave us the choice of two rooms. Room was great, good size, great hot shower, clean, organised and had everything we needed. Breakfast was brilliant. They appear to be a lovely family who are kind and welcoming to everyone. There is a large selection of hot and cold food to choose from and they continuously refilled the juices, even coming to people’s tables etc. You order hot breakfast and can help yourself to continental.

I just struggled with the main front door, it felt quite heavy for me when carrying things in but I figured out how to wedge it in the morning so it was easier.

What can we say! We have had the most amazing 9 nights here at Minerva! Margaret, Owen and Natalia went above and beyond to make us feel not only welcome, but at home! Lots of laughs with them along the way and even a complimentary bottle of Prosecco to celebrate our engagement, I was even sung to at breakfast on my birthday! The hotel has everything you need, spotlessly clean, amazing location, gorgeous tasty breakfast, And the comfiest bed I’ve slept in on holiday! We’re so sad to leave but we will definitely be back soon! Thankyou again 🤗

Nothing to dislike! Perfect through and through

The couple who owned the hotel were absolutely lovely and made us feel very welcomed in their property. Our room was incredibly clean and also consisted of a booklet made by the owners full of local information such as taxi services, restaurants, healthcare authorities, etc which was very useful. The view was spectacular and extremely good value for money!! We will definitely be visiting again. The breakfast was lovely and very accommodating for both me and my partners needs. Overall, would highly recommend to anyone who wants a beautiful hotel by the beach that's cheap and guarantees a great nights sleep!

I had a great stay – the location was very convenient, close to shops, stores, and beaches, making it easy to get around. The sea view was a nice bonus, creating a relaxing atmosphere. The Natalia and Johnny were friendly and helpful whenever we needed anything. Owen and Margaret were welcoming throughout our visit. A lovely spot for a laid-back stay.

One suggestion for improvement would be to refresh the bedsheets and towels more frequently. This would enhance comfort and maintain hygiene especially in case of any spills or accidents.

Location, nice sea view

1. We arrived around 4pm and a random person was inside our room to fix the window what I didn’t like it as the check in was from 3 pm so it was weird situation 2. Not enough breakfast options, i thought we can get a salmon or nice omelette We tried the British breakfast but it was made from cheap beans, the scrambled egg wasnt a scrambled egg, we expected for get more like croissant or more better quality yogurt 3. The replacement towels were dirty 4. The check out is on the booking website at 11 am, but technically we were sent away 10.35 what I didn’t like it at all, instead of knocking the door , opening with key without any question We paid a lot so at least we wanted to stay until we were supposed to be there.

The staff especially Owen, were incredibly attentive and went out of their way to ensure a comfortable experience giving advice on where to go for a drink or to eat. The location was perfect, making it easy to explore the area. The shower facilities were excellent, offering great water pressure and temperature control. The bed was extremely comfortable, ensuring a restful night's sleep, and I appreciated the spacious room, which made the stay even more enjoyable. Highly recommend

Overall, the breakfast was good, with plenty of options, including cereals and a great selection of continental items. The cooked breakfast was enjoyable, but the mushrooms were unfortunately undercooked, which was a slight disappointment. That said, the service was quick and friendly, and the variety of choices made for a pleasant start to the day.

Margaret, Owen and Nathalia were very welcoming and accommodating. The room we stayed in was very clean and equipped with everything we needed. We had a bottle of prosecco waiting for us with two glasses which was a nice little touch. Nathalia was really helpful and lovely. Breakfast was great, a variety of cereals and fruit etc and a menu with typical english breakfasts, eggs, etc but really tasty! Amazing view of the beach right on your doorstep and the high street right at the top of the road.

The only issue we had was parking which was understandably not at fault of the guesthouse. We were lucky most days to find street parking on the same road but on busier days or certain times you can expect to struggle and either park in the nearby car park or park further away.

Room was great - deluxe triple room. Nice shower and plenty of room Breakfast brilliant with plenty of choice and a fabulous coffee machine, plenty of normal toasters so you didnt have to wait! Natalia especially was kind, funny and attentive, she went out of her way to help Excellent location - 5minute walk to the sea in front and a 30second walk to the main shopping street.

the view from the room was a wall on one side and and run down hostel on the other - however it was not noisy and we didnt spend too much time during the day there. It would have been nice if the bar area was more welcoming with seating etc. My parents stayed in the sea view room which was a fabulous view
