- the staff were so lovely, very chatty and made us feel so welcome, they work incredibly hard and what a lovely place is it because of them all. - it was exceptionally clean, the lady cleaner asked if we would like our room cleaned in the second day too which was very nice of her though we kindly declined but a nice touch. - the breakfast was cooked fresh and was a great standard. - it is in a perfect location, on a lovely beach but also only a 10 minute walk from fistal beach (maybe 15) which is well worth a visit, one of the nicest beaches I’ve been too with a great bar which we sat at all day! - there is a really nice coffee shack just across the grass area outside of the hotel which is also worth a visit. - overall it was absolutely perfect and I wouldn’t stay anywhere else, beyond happy with the experience and the people were so lovely.

Absolutely nothing, it was perfect. If I was being really picky then the parking is a bit of pain but plenty of paid parking places around so not that much of a problem.

We found that Owen and Margaret could not do enough for anyone, always on hand, pleasant polite , fabulous breakfast, same for Natalia she would make sure your breakfast was right, everyday ask if we need anything or want anything doing with our room. The little touches of sweets at reception. Also the girl who helped me retrieve my towel which fell out the window amazing to go above and beyond. Breakfast was a great choice , hot and fresh, bowl of fruit too 😋. Lots to choose from . Our room was on the smaller size but Owen did inform us, we didn't mind at all and actually it was a nice size for the 2 of us , clean, fresh. Decor lovely too. Bar was lovely and very reasonable on price too , loved to have gone a few times but we met family every night but on our return in the future we will have a few more in the bar . Parking is enough space for around 4 cars , we parked on manor Rd car park literally 5 min walk and cost only £26.50 for a week , bargain pay at the carpark

OYO bed and breakfast is perfectly located overlooking a small park with views out across the sea. It was very relaxing, and I slept well even during the busier July/August - The only noise at night were the waves from the sea, and occasional seagulls. I'd like to set a really big thanks to Margaret, her husband, and all the staff there who made our stay memorable and enjoyable. The breakfast was really good, although I did start a bit too late for us. This is not surprising given it is a B&B. We stayed in the Seaview room. Our room had wonderful comfortable carpet, a comfortable bed, a good shower with always on hot water, and mini fridge, a kettle and some tea/coffee. TV worked with usual DVB-T channels and builtin Netflix/Amazon ( bring your own credentials to sign-in).

The owners Margaret & Owen, along with their staff, were amazing. They went out of their way to make sure our stay was perfect. The morning breakfasts were always a bonus with a delightful menu that had something for everyone and Margaret stopping by each table to say good morning! From the windows in our room was a spectacular view of the water and beach with chairs in the room facing out so you could sit, relax and enjoy the view. The surrounding area has many shops and places to eat within walking distance as well. While we were there, it just so happened there was a food festival going on that weekenk just across the street! Food,music and nice people! Great time! We had to leave very early on our last day, Margaret left us each a bag of snacks and fruit for our journey. We would most definitely stay here again! Six of us spent four nights at the Minerva Guesthouse. We were welcomed by very kind hosts, put up in a small but comfortable (family) room and a double room with a view of the beach. Breakfast was adequate and you could ask from a menu. The breakfast area is small, so guests are expected to have breakfast in two rotations based on room number. Our two rooms were not in the same rotation, but the host was flexible to arrange for us to have breakfast together. The house is located 150 m from the beach. On the first day there was parking in front of the house, then we had to look for it, but 300 meters away there is a big parking lot where you have to pay between 9 am and 6 pm. If you are on the road during the day, parking is free. Margaret and Owen, thank you very much!

A very pleasant stay. The whole staff were very attentive and super friendly, which is not a given everywhere. We really enjoyed it. The rooms especially the ones facing the sea were very nice and the beds were super comfortable. The guesthouse as a whole was very quiet and super central to the pedestrian zone, pubs and restaurants as well as the bus stop. There are good bus connections to Truro, for example. We hope to come back and would love to stay at Oyo Guesthouse again, the whole stay was just heavenly. Thank you very much to everybody at OYO Guesthouse once again and stay as you are.

From the moment I arrived, I was welcomed with genuine warmth and kindness by the lovely hosts, Margaret and her husband Owen. They have such a friendly, homely presence and instantly made me feel at ease, it truly felt like I was staying with family. The room was spotless and thoughtfully prepared, with great ventilation, super comfortable beds, and a powerful shower. Everything you could ask for in a relaxing stay. Breakfast was a real highlight, with delicious fresh options made to order from the kitchen. You can really tell they put love into everything they do. A special shout-out to Natalia, who provided absolutely exceptional customer service! Her attentiveness and positive energy made the experience all the more memorable. It's clear that every member of staff at Minerva works incredibly hard to make your stay as smooth and enjoyable as possible. I'm genuinely so grateful for the opportunity to stay here. It was more than just a place to sleep, it was an experience. I’ll definitely be coming back. Highly, highly recommend!

From the moment Margaret came to book.us in it felt extremely welcoming, and within minutes, we were chatting as if we'd known each other years. The foyer is very impressive, but when we opened our room door, the opulence of it was breathtaking. It seems no expense has been spared to make your stay comfortable and in stunning surroundings. Our breakfast was excellent. The food was hot, very well presented and nothing was too much trouble. Margaret or Owen doing their bit and chatting to guests with plenty of suggestions. To help make your stay the best experience you could have. We can't express how impressed we were. We've stayed in four different hotels on this trip alone, and this was in a different league. The added extra of a cosy, intimate bar with a pool table was a definite plus. A place to have a nightcap and a game of pool to relax you was great. The interaction between us and Margaret and Owen was like old friends meeting up again. I can not express how welcoming we felt. We ate out, and instead of staying out in a pub, we always headed back to the hotel bar and a friendly chat with our hosts. I wish I could rate higher than a ten as this was above and beyond.

Immaculately clean , quiet & relaxing . Our room had a magnificent Sea view to sit with coffee and look out to the sea . Handy walking location to great restaurants , shops, Harbour, transport . Breakfast was fantastic - lots of choice and stay was excellent value . Owen, Margaret and Jonny were fantastic hosts - also loved being able to have a drink at the bar in the guest area and chat with the hosts and other guests after a day out .Exceptionally friendly place . Hosts also very helpful . Would certainly come back

Warmly welcomed by Owen, got there quite late as a very long drive. Kindly gave us the choice of two rooms. Room was great, good size, great hot shower, clean, organised and had everything we needed. Breakfast was brilliant. They appear to be a lovely family who are kind and welcoming to everyone. There is a large selection of hot and cold food to choose from and they continuously refilled the juices, even coming to people’s tables etc. You order hot breakfast and can help yourself to continental.

I just struggled with the main front door, it felt quite heavy for me when carrying things in but I figured out how to wedge it in the morning so it was easier.
