In very good location, 5 minutes walk to newquay bus station. 3minutes walk to the beach. Sorrounded by restautants, shops, clubs and sainsbury is 5mins walk. The view from the restaurant/bar is stunning. Some rooms are seaview and some are not. Staff are very friendly and happy bunch. Discounted prize for drinks and food for guests.

No cooked breakfast only cold continental are offered. Music on saturday night was absolutely shite. DJ is not interested making the crowd happy. He doesnt listen even a few people asking to change the tune. He just wants to play what he wants to play. So we just left.

The location is excellent with the beach just below as well as all local amenities and attractions surrounding the hostel. The hostel bar is also one of the best bars in the town with great views and atmosphere.

The room and bathroom was slightly cramped. Also, parking is not readily available, I was lucky to get a spot next to the hostel to check in but then had to find a long stay carpark, both of which I had to pay for. To add, I didn't realise the hostel was a hostel as it wasn't clearly sign posted.

Spectacular views, surfboard storage, comfortable beds, and desks in the private rooms and strong wifi makes them practical for remote working. A good location right next to Towan beach and not too far from Fistral.

Would have liked to see more fruit in the breakfast buffet e.g. pineapple, mango, watermelon, or grapes. It would be great if the Goki system could also be used on the surfboard storage room then guests would be able to go for an early morning surf before the room is normally unlocked.

I booked the single room: Great view, comfortable bed, bathroom with shower not too small and suitable, presence of a large TV, Presence of a kettle with tea bags, instant coffee, sugar bags and milk to add to tea or coffee, There are also a fan and a heater in case you need it, wooden floor, the Room is equipped with many sockets both USB and uk tipe, In the room there are two large and one small wipes, a hair dryer and some bottles with shower soap in addition to the hand soap dispenser present fixed in the bathroom, The room is equipped with hangers and clothes hangers. Unfortunately in the week of my stay the boiler was broken and therefore there was no hot water, but the owner made himself available to cancel the reservation without problems and to help in case of need, very kind and helpful owner. Once you have checked in, you will be assigned a code to use to enter the hostel 24h and in your room, you can also open the doors through the Goki application after registering with your data, very useful and convenient application!

The only flaw is the fact that the rooms are not too isolated from the noise of the corridor, you can often hear the doors slamming every time someone closes them or even when others use the common bathroom or when they go up/down the stairs. It's probably just the doors that don't insulate much as they are slightly raised because the noises in the adjacent rooms and therefore with the shared walls are not as loud as those that come from the corridor. Even the noises and music from outside are not heard in an annoying way so the windows also insulate very well.

Always try and stay at St Christopher's, Newquay. Great location, exceptional views, rooms are spotless. However, the main reason I stay at St Christopher's in Newquay is the staff, nothing is too much bother, always happy to help with a smile. It's simply a nice relaxing laid back place to stay. The food down stairs in Belushi is also top draw, lovely burgers, kitchen and bar staff are very friendly, simply a cool bunch of guys.... All in all, a very well run establishment with a chilled atmosphere, thank you very much

Don't try to fix something that does not need improving

the location is absolutely stunning. I mean the views from the windows and the bar were beautiful…. I’ve uploaded some pics. Downstairs is a bar and restaurant. Plenty of seating area outside. The staff were super friendly, the rooms got cleaned daily. I got a bit hot so they gave me a fan for the room. You can purchase a lock for your cage under your bed for your storage in the reception and they provide towels if you need them. The cleaners came in every day cleaned the room and changed the bedding. Very friendly.

Only thing was the floor had bits all over it and didn’t get hoovered or moped during my stay. But to be fair, if I had asked them, they probably would’ve done it. They were so nice. Really worked hard to get the rooms done.

Brilliant location ideal for right near the beach, surfing paradise.

Room had a very bright exit light at night, was very irritating as kept you awake. Taps were too small in the bathroom for a kettle so larger water bottles need providing to fill up the kettle. Staff on whole were very friendly expect for one lady on shift the first morning was a bit abrupt when asking how the room is replenished with towels etc as it didn't state in the room about housekeeping. Was a very good stay overall I would return.

Whilst we didn’t actually realise we had booked a backpack, hostel type of place, we had great time . We had booked the room with en-suite, which whilst small was perfectly reasonable with a fantastic view of the beach and sea (room 12) As an older couple we were expecting lots of noise etc , but nothing of the sort. The key code we received on the GOKI app was superb and the pub below the rooms made little or no noise that I remember. A quick mention for Charlie who was running the bar downstairs, nothing was ever to much trouble for her, 9thanks for getting us the extra milk😂)

All the staff were fantastic all very friendly. Special mention to Josh for being super attentive, I work in hotel management so I know he delivered what is expected at 5* hotels, from the checkin in process to dealing with an issue I needed to bring to his attention. I also liked the great discounts for the bar :)

Ventilation needs improved, there’s always bad smells in hostels but it was specially nasty here. Also looks like cleaners will change beds of course but not wipe any surfaces, the handrails up to the bunk had “hairs” and grime and I needed to wipe it clean and the wipe was filthy

Beautiful view from room and convenient location. Very helpful and friendly barmaid making time for me in a very busy rush to help me check in as I had issues with the app. Thank you for being patient with me!

Salt lamp not working in room not a major issue but needs repairing. Sand in bathroom needs hoovering. Kettle hard to fill up in small sink, could do with a water jug to help.
