BREAKFAST GOOD .ROOM FACILITIES AND A LA CARTE RESTAURANT

FINDING OUT ON OUR LAST DAY THAT THE HOTEL HAD BEEN VISITED BY THE COUNCIL HYGIENE AND GRADED AS A 1 STAR AND NEEDS TO IMPROVE. IF I HAD REALISED THIS EARLIER IN OUR STAY I WOULD HAVE MOVED BUT THIS WOULD HAVE COME AT A HEFTY COST TO ME.

The hotel was very good, the location superb with sea views from our bedroom and the breakfast room. Breakfast food was very good, Dinner in the dining room was OK but the menu was quite small so you wouldn't want to eat in every night if you were staying for more than a couple of days. All the staff were very cheerful and helpful, we would definitely stay there again.

The hotel had a problem with the lift, I understand that they are waiting for parts to repair it. They did advise us of the problem after we had booked but when I asked for a room on the 1st floor because of our age they were very obliging.

Fabulous view, lovely breakfast great selection, staff friendly, hotel very clean.

Only one thing a school prom was being held at the hotel and when we returned to park in the evening it was impossible, the exit was blocked, no one knew what was happening we drove round to find a parking space and couldn't get out so had to abandon our vehicle and advise staff to let us know when we could move it. It would have been nice to have been told this was happening so we could have planned. The main problem was that no one knew what was happening or when it would be clear to move.

I loved my warm welcome to the hotel and the room was very luxurious and spacious. The best point was the spectacular view from the hotel and my room.

I paid £126 for an overnight stay at your hotel. The cost should have included breakfast for that price. I spoke to a few couples who spent the same money as me and had breakfast included in their stay. I was disappointed that the hot tub jets were not whirling. Other guests complained too. No sauna and no steam room either. So I am annoyed that I never had breakfast included in my stay cost.

A beautiful hotel with wonderful sea views. The staff were all so friendly and helpful - especially Aliysha and Dan. The facilities were grand and comfortable and we loved having breakfast looking at the sea. Great choice of food and all served very nicely The only thing that was disappointing was the noise of the wind rattling through the windows. It was so loud it was difficult to sleep. We appreciate it's an old hotel and situated close to the sea but our room was underneath a balcony and some scaffolding so the noise may have been intensified. The staff were very apologetic and said they would check it out. Another time we would ask for a different room. It's in a great location for Fistral beach. We would definitely stay there again

Location excellent with amazing views (up a hill though so not great if you have mobility issues). Beautifully grand hotel with lovely friendly staff. Breakfast really nice. Room large and clean with sea views

Stayed here on hottest week of the year and had a room with a sea view which was stunning but there was no air con so the room was really hot as the sun was on it all day…. A fan would be a great addition to the room. Also breakfast was a bit expensive for what you got but couldn’t fault the food. Would have liked more option for coffee (such as latte or cappuccino)

We have stayed at the Atlantic several times before. Jane on reception was exceptional and went out of her way with the housekeeping lady to make us stay comfortable, moving us because we had scaffolding outside the window which ruined our view. We had a beautiful room with a large bed and it was super comfortable. Spotlessly clean and the staff even lent us an HDMI cable as we had forgotten ours. They managed to squeeze us in for a cream tea as well and the waiting staff were lovely.

I thought the spa facilities let the hotel down a little bit as the sauna and the steam room were cold and despite switching them on which you couldn’t really read the instructions they didn’t heat up. The Jacuzzi was also a bit feeble. I’ve also thought the dining and lounging areas are a bit impersonal and cold feeling at the Atlantic compared to the headland.

Bedroom, Bathroom, reception area, terrace. The staff were all very nice, helpful and friendly.

We dined in the first night and the restaurant was beautiful but the food although good value for a 4 star hotel was average. The menu also did not change. On the Sunday night my wife was not well and we tried to book in again but the chef would not take us. The only bar open was next to the restraunt and whilst very posh was not an obvious place to socialise and relax. We ended up every night on the terrace watching the sunset.

The staff, from reception to room service team, was amazing. Everyone was exceptionally kind and friendly. The sea view from the room, the spa, and the breakfast area was spectacular. The location of the hotel is also very convenient, as it’s super close to the centre and Fistral beach. Overall, we had a fantastic experience!

The breakfast wasn’t too varied or high quality though more than satisfying for us and a bit of a shame that the sauna was still closed, but we very much enjoyed the steam room, hot tub, and pool so not really a massive issue for us!

I feel this us my new favourite hotel in Newquay. The location is excellent. The staff went above and beyond to ensure all your needs are met with a smile. It would 100% benefit from some TLC to the exterior of the hotel especially the front entrance (steps). The beds are really comfortable. The view from the dining room is amazing. The view from the bedroom is amazing. The food was all excellent and they bent over backwards to meet all dietary needs as my daughter is celiac. I wasnt impressed with the jacuzzi.. It's not what you would expect in a hotel this size and it's functioning is poor. The indoor pool was clean and refreshing. Although this hotel is dated in areas I would definitely return as both myself and my daughter absolutely loved it.
