Wonderful hotel with rich history, perfect location and stunning design. Spa facilities are top notch: multiple heated pool and jacuzzis, both indoor and outdoor, salt cave, saunas. We enjoyed the spa so much. We celebrated our anniversary that day and the hotel staff left some nice gifts for us in the room when we checked in, it was so thoughtful and shows that they actually pay attention and care.

The only downside for us was non-existent view from the room, but we knew about that when we were booking the room. Try to book a room with a view because standard ones will be overlooking some internal yard area with ventilations and other hotel infrastructure.

Whole experience was fantastic, the room overlooked Fistral Beach (3rd Flr), the breakfast was to die for, the hotel itself is wonderful, the SPA is an added bonus. All staff we met were excellent, reception, porters, bar, spa, waiters/waitresses, maître de, maintenance, concierge, room cleaning - helpful and always willing to assist or share a chat - these people put the hotel miles above the rest. Well done Headland staff - 10/10

The SPA could get a little crowded in the afternoons. You have to watch your spending as booking things to your room could give you a nasty shock on check out day. £10 for a single G&T - uumm. They add a service charge to every bill and then there's a tip section on it - always worth checking before you sign.

Wasn't the hotels fault, but our room was next to barking dogs that woke us up a few times. The owners also left them during the evening, and they were barking and howling for two hours. We rang reception as we was concerned Not sure what happened.

Great hotel and location. The staff were all a pleasure to deal with and the feel of the hotel is spot on. The facilities are excellent and the breakfast was one of the best I’ve had at a hotel. Will definitely stay again.

Found the amount of guest owned dogs in the hotel unusual, but it didn’t impact on our stay.

This hotel is beautiful - location is stunning, fabulous facilities - spa pools etc. The best thing about the Headland is the staff. Everyone was so welcoming, very helpful, always ready to please. The service in the restaurant and bars was impeccable. I use a mobility scooter and they gave me a room near a lift and the concierges were always there to open the front door for me as I went in and out. On check in, the receptionist kindly took us on a tour of the hotel and showed us around - a really nice touch. We ate three nights in the hotel, Terrace restaurant twice & Renmor one night - food was excellent in all. We are recommending the hotel to all our friends because of the staff.

The hotel is beautiful and grand. The staff are wonderful, friendly and very attentive. We normally stay in the cosy rooms but we had a little upgrade. The room 123 was sumptuous and larger than most, with besutiful views inland and side view to fistral. The room was a little dated but the bedding and towels were wonderful. Breakfast is lovely and plenty to offer. The gluten free offering since the refurb is much less with continental. Views and atmosphere is just wonderful. Staff always very attentive and friendly. Having access the the aqua club is wonderful.

Great location with spectacular views. I love the old world look, feel, and atmosphere of the Headland Hotel. The staff friendly and even a small issue they found a solutions. I will be back and tell my friends and family in Australia.

One or two of the brekky’s were warm and not hot. Serve your eggs on thick sour dough not thin.

The hotel's location on Towan Head gives superb views out into the Atlantic and across Fistral Beach. Access is easy through Newquay and there is a large car park. The hotel grounds were very tidy. The reception staff were very helpful and offered a full tour of the site and spa facilities while the concierge helpfully took our bags upstairs. While our room didn't have an external view, it was clean, modern, well presented and equipped. Though the hotel has a traditional feel to it, everything was clean and contemporary and though comfortable did not feel stuffy or over the top. We used the gym and both sets of spa pools during our stay and didn't have any problems with them, the facilities are very good and it was pleasant to watch the sunset over the Atlantic from a warm pool. The food in The Deck and Terrace restaurants was excellent. The helpful, friendly and capable staff were faultless. The Lego model of the hotel on the first floor is eye catching and well worth a look. It was a thoroughly good stay and we will certainly return.

It was home away from home. So cosy, a relaxing atmosphere and warm friendly staff. The amenities were outstanding and food (breakfast especially, was local fresh quality . The staff were so friendly and welcoming, making us at ease and feel well looked after. We’ve already booked to come back for our anniversary, we were so impressed and happy with our stay!

Unfortunately a group of people in a room close to us were having a loud party till midnight which did make it difficult to fall asleep, how we the noise did die down after a while. The bed and room was absolutely exceptional so made up for this! One other minor thing was the deck restaurant was quite cold, so we had to eat with coats on.

The included breakfast was delicious and more than adequate. I good range of options including every type of milk you could think of. I thought the cooked option was expensive at £30 so didn't bother with it. There were 3 different restaurants to choose from, the fine dining option was a special treat. Fantastic location with easy access to the beach or a coastal walk. Plenty of easy access parking.

The room itself was comfy and spacious with great facilities but the view was so poor (small inner courtyard) that the blinds were drawn the whole time. I missed having a view but the real problem was that it was completely impossible to assess what the weather was doing and therefore assess what to wear for the day.
