The hotel was very comfortable and the staff were kind and helpful. The food especially in the Bistro was DELICIOUS!! And reasonably priced .

I was disappointed that my husband and 2 tiny Yorkies couldn’t go in the garden area next to the swimming pool . I understand that dogs can’t go into the pool area , however the garden is linked next to the pool and it spoilt it for me having to swim on my own then go back to the room so my husband could swim . I feel if it is a dog friendly hotel then I don’t know why we couldn’t use the garden. Also , I feel that £192 pounds for the 2 dogs for a week was extortionate! My 2 miniature dogs are well behaved , house trained and don’t shed ANY hair . I felt £60 on top of our bill is a fair price , nearly £200 pound I felt like it was totally unreasonable.

Reception staff very welcoming upon arrival. I used the swimming pool it was a generous size and clean. The Bistro was very accommodating for my dietary needs. Super friendly service. Breakfast was ok not fabulous.

The room was a little smaller than I expected. Large fairly comfortable bed though. No housekeeping unless you requested it. A green light permanently on all night in the bathroom (not so bad when bathroom door was shut). Shaver point to high to charge toothbrush so I had to improvise with a pot under the charger to give it extra height to plug in. No blackout curtains in the room. Huge problem for me. It was so light early in the morning it kept me awake. Seagulls knocking on the window at silly o’clock wasn’t helpful either….

Friendly, helpful staff, nothing too much trouble. bistro excellent. we ate in the bar the first night, as didn't realise it was the same menu. the barman, brought our food from the bistro, while serving others in the bar, with no fuss and very pleasant.. thank you. Pool spotless, very quiet which was nice. early morning swim, no towels left, and bin was full, but the receptionist brought me down another towel, again with apologies and no fuss. thank you again. The dining area well stocked, staff very pleasant and helpful. the room was clean, the bed was comfortable and the shower had plenty of hot water. the position of the hotel was lovely, and the proximity to Fistral beach was unexpected, we were able to pop down several times just for a walk or swim.

I thought the breakfast was expensive for a very average cooked serving, I should have mentioned to reception that the sink in our room was emptying very slowly, in case it overflowed, sorry. with regard to the question of Lusty Glaze Beach, we thought it was a private beach, or would have visited it.

Such a beautiful property set in stunning surroundings. With delicious restaurants, and beaches and breathtaking views all within walking distance. I loved the view from my room on the 3rd floor and was stunned by the leisure centre. The heated pool and surrounding lounge area was 10/10. More than I expected! The sun deck area was another bonus. The breakfast was of incredible quality. That being included in my booking price felt almost criminal because it was so good. The staff were all super helpful and kind to any questions I had. The bar and lounge area was also an excellent quiet spot for my friends and I to get work done during the day. So happy to have had the opportunity to stay here and would recommend to anyone looking for accommodation in the area.

There was nothing I didn’t like. Some might say the decor finishes could use updating, but I really enjoyed the character that this brought to the property!

We enjoyed the clean and well-maintained swimming pool, which was great for unwinding after exploring the area. Breakfast was great. The hotel’s location is fantastic—just a walk from the surfing beach, making it ideal for anyone looking to enjoy the waves. We booked a room facing the sea, and the view was stunning—watching the sunset from our window was a real treat.

Our stay at the Pentire Hotel was generally enjoyable. It was in a great location and offered lovely amenities like breakfast and a pool. However, we did feel that the overall atmosphere could have been warmer. One thing that stood out was the lack of smiling faces among the staff. While they were efficient, the friendliness and warmth that make a hotel stay memorable were missing. A simple smile or a more approachable attitude would go a long way in making guests feel more welcome and valued

The staff were all exceptionally friendly and helpful, with a special mention for Bethan (who helped me find the hotel when I was walking up on the day of arrival) and Aoife for all the (very much appreciated!) fuss she made of my dog Effi. Breakfasts were delicious, with a very good variety in the buffet and a good range of cooked food, made freshly to order. The food in the Sixty bistro was also excellent, and I really appreciated being able to bring Effi in with me. The location was perfect for us, as it gave us easy access to walks on the beautiful Fistral Beach and the headland. And the swimming pool was a lovely place to spend an hour in the evening after a day out-and-about. All-in-all an ideal place to spend a long weekend.

I booked a single room for me and the dog and it was quite small -- on reflection, I might have been better off booking a double room (thankfully my dog is more Pomeranian than Great Dane in size!) We were only staying for a long weekend, but it seemed slightly unusual that the room wasn't visited by housekeeping during that time. However, the room was certainly clean on arrival and I only had to ask at reception for fresh supplies of tea-bags and milk, so it wasn't a massive problem.

The bedroom, bed was comfortable the view was good , the bathroom was good, a bonus was the kettle, coffee & milk sticks (more was obtained from reception). Breakfast was excellent enough food available to get you to lunchtime. the swimming pool was OK.

Bedroom windows could have done with being cleaned, the toilet having a crack in it. Obviously nothing can be done but the swimming pool design maybe a thought for smaller people who would like to be able to touch the bottom of the pool if lacking in confidence, a shallow end perhaps.

Originally our room was poor, but we moved rooms into a bigger room and it was much better and a lot more clean. We really enjoyed using the pool facilities and although we did not have breakfast it smelt good overall the stay was brilliant.

We didn’t like the original room that we were staying in, so we moved rooms. We thought the hotel could have better facilities like a spa, but we were happy with the pool

I was really impressed that in spite of thinking I had booked a basic single room I was given a double room. My room was nice and the extra facility of a shower over bathtub rather than just a shower cubicle meant that I had the option to take a bath if I needed a soak after a day out walking around. My only complaint with the rooms is I wish the wardrobes were proper with doors rather than open hanging rails. Also I had the option to grab lots of extra milk and teabags from reception. I really like the cooked breakfast at the hotel and that they are very accommodating to requests for various combinations of the breakfast. I have to rate the sausages for being much nicer than the ordinary catering sausages found in some establishments. They also had a good selection of teas and the option of decaf coffee at breakfast. I can't comment on the cereal selection as I didn't look. I like the fact that there are so many jams, preserves and spreads on offer to go on to bread/toast. My room looked out over the car park and streets opposite so not the most exciting, but being a floor higher than where I normally find myself I could see over into the Gannel and farther countryside. The view doesn't particularly bother me as I am not spending hours in my room.

I wish it was a bit more obvious how to book to dine in the main restaurant. It was open most nights as there was a coach party staying onsite. While I am okay eating in the bistro on some nights, sometimes I would like to eat a bit differently and don't want to venture offsite alone at night to find a restaurant. Also a half board guest option would be good.

The hotel was well decorated and very clean in the public area that I saw. The staff were exceptional. I had trouble getting down to Newquay that day and to the airport the next morning. A big thank you to the lovely Liz/Elizabeth on reception. I only stayed for 1 night, the bistro served excellent food and everyone I met were very friendly and helpful. The bed was comfy and warm. It has a lift which is a must if you have mobility issues. Breakfast was very varied with lots of choice. The service was excellent. Thank you for making me welcome and helping me. There is a wonderful and very hardworking team at this hotel.

As I have health issues I usually try and arrive around 2pm so I can rest. There is a high charge I feel for checking in before 4pm. As it happened I was delayed so it didn't matter. Also my single room was quite scruffy. No kind of bedside table and lots of marks on the walls. These are the reasons that I wouldn't be able to stay again.
