I loved this hotel. My room (without sea view) was spacious,clean and very comfortable. The spa also was very nice having 2 steam rooms and 1 pool along the general spa services. The view of the hotel is also unmatched, overlooking the Fistral beach. Staff 100/10,they really hired nice,relaxed ,awesome people,they made me feel welcomed.

2 things I found on the “funny side” . 1. To get outside,spa,breakfast, you need to pass through the bar - I found that a bit inconfortabile. 2. Not a big one for me,but maybe for others, it’s farther away from the city center (20-25’ walk).I enjoy walking so not a problem for me.

Lovely staff, great location & fantastic bar for drinks. Nice to have the gym & spa which are both decent. Lovely breakfast. Honestly the staff made it + location. Easy to get to Crantock beach via the ferry if you fancy a change & the classes, yoga & ease of renting surf boards next door was great.

The room was very hot (none have air con) and shower curtain over a bath is pretty budget and meant the bathroom floor got soaking! We were given fans for the room but two were broken, one very loud, they did kindly switch our room but the second was still quite how. Also we are in a 30s but have to say the Saturday Ibiza club night DJ was a bit ott with disco lights and kept the building awake, maybe a more chilled dj or an acoustic set or jazz alternative for a couple of hours would be a bit nicer :)

I had an incredible stay at this hotel! The room was impeccably clean, and the location was perfect, right across the beach. The highlight was definitely the Dune restaurant - the dining experience was simply amazing. I can't wait to come back again!

While I had a generally pleasant stay, there are a few areas where the hotel could improve. Firstly, the reserved parking system seemed quite unorganized, causing some inconvenience. Secondly, the loud morning loading of beer barrels disturbed the tranquility of the place, and it would be great if this could be addressed. Lastly, the air conditioning in the room was a bit noisy and old, but they gave us a new, quieter one when we asked. These improvements would certainly enhance the overall guest experience.

location was excellent, rooms were spacious, although ours was very warm (believe there was an issue with our fridge!). we did half board and it was so worth the money. food was outstanding!! not your normal buffet but a proper restaurant with starter and main included. staff were all very friendly, particularly the bar staff. watermelon spicy margarita was exceptional!! we will definitely be visiting again! thank you!

as above our room was very warm which we worked out (on our last day) was likely due to the fridge in the room that may have been faulty. otherwise we loved everything!

Excellent breakfast and location

The room 331 was very hot, top floor at the back of the hotel, 26 degrees day and night!!! Outside temp 18 overnight. A tower fan was provided but wasn’t very efficient. The 3 small windows in the room only opened by about 3 inches as were security windows. No air conditioning. Therefore unable to sleep very well unfortunately. The hotel room was nice, large room, comfortable bed. I did ask to move rooms but this was not possible as hotel full. I would recommend a sea view room with Balcony/ large window to allow for airflow and not the top floor !!

Excellent location overlooking Fistral beach and the sea surf. There is a relaxed friendly atmosphere. Very comfortable Quiet and relaxing room, which was well equipped. The bed was big and comfortable. The leisure facilities were very good and easily accessed. The restaurant and bars were very comfortable and the service very good. There was good musical entertainment some evenings The breakfast selection was also very good. The staff were attentive, friendly and very helpful.

The hotel car park can be very crowded and difficult to access and egress. Not much can be done unless the number of spaces is reduced. The road outside is usually crowded with visiting vehicles making hotel parking there difficult. This, although inconvenient was not a major problem. The toilet flush took a long time to refill. This might not be an issue for some.

Room overlooking the sea was lovely. The sea view was so nice to go to sleep and wake up to. Parking at the property was good although expensive for a guest of the hotel. All the staff were attentive and pleasant. The location is beachfront with a short walk down to the beach. The food and service in the main restaurant was superb. I did use the spa, the pool is very nice and the spa treatment was so relaxing.

There is no local shop or somewhere inside the hotel to buy snacks other than what was at the bar. There was no aircon in the room so had it been really hot the room would have been uncomfortable.

We had a great room with a wonderful view over Fistral Beach! Flowers and champagne (ordered in advance of course) on arrival - it was a "special" birthday! The room was very comfortable and spacious (maybe we'd been upgraded, I am not sure, I don't think all rooms are as big as the one we were given). The pool facilities were very nice, and not at all crowded. The staff were all very friendly, and the food in the bar was nice. We didn't try the restaurant, as we had a reservation at a local fish restaurant, but the breakfast was good and plentiful. We will definitely stay here again, if visiting Newquay.

Everything in the hotel was fine. The parking was a little tricky but otherwise, everything was perfect.

All the staff were very helpful, polite and welcoming! My massage by Sophie was very relaxing and probably one of the best iv got (well done Sophie.) The bar and restaurant (breakfast too) were lovely, good view, good choice and nice food. Especially the tequila. The deck outside the car park was a nice touch to go a have a couple of drinks on, again lovely view better tbh. Sauna and steam were nice a hot every time I used them. Gym was probably one of the best hotel gyms iv used. The room we stayed in was spacious. £7 cab into town or 20 min walk.

The coffee machine at breakfast was awful like so bad. I went to the bar to get a coffee instead and turned out was the same machine the charged me £3.60 for it. The pillows were too hard for my preference I had a really bad night sleep. But the hotel in morning supplied me with softer pillows. No air con was really hot in the room. (Fan supplied) Our room was on two levels and the bathroom windows didn’t have blinds or a door so the light was getting in at 4:30am. Spa there was 4 chairs to relax no sun loungers as soon as the spa had 12-15 people it was over crowded.

Rooms and ambiance are always great. The greeting at breakfast from Neil and Sarah is always fabulous - so nice that they speak to everyone individually, and make each guest feel valued and special. Nothing is too much trouble, and menu choices are easily accommodated!

I requested a copy of the VAT invoice to be emailed to me on check-out, this wasn't provided. I have then entered in to a round of emails and phone calls trying to obtain the correct invoices, as invoices for previous stays were sent to me intitially, and then for the incorrect prices - even when I shared the booking.com confirmation email showing the value (and a snip from my credit card statement!) the hotel is unable to send me a set of invoices that match the amount I was charged.
