The location is fabulous. The staff are well trained, efficient and very friendly. The property is very well maintained and extremely clean! The room was huge and comfortable. The food was delicious in the restaurant. Service was excellent. Very relaxed environment.

There was nothing to actually dislike! However a small niggle was not having a mirror and socket in the dressing area where the hairdryer was kept. It was easily solved by moving the dryer to a socket by the window, but a socket/mirror addition to the vanity area would have been welcome. I didn’t relish getting on my knees to unplug the coffee machine to use the hairdryer and am not long sighted enough to see in the sink mirror whilst using it! 🤣 old age problem!

Location on unspoilt headland with magnificent views. Accommodation was very comfortable, quiet with exceptional sea views. Very pleasant reception staff. Food quality in the restaurant ( breakfast and dinner) was generally very good.

Service in the restaurant was ok but a little below the standards expected. There are a lot of walk in customers to the bar and restaurant, which is great for the business and demonstrates the attractiveness of the venue, but it is not conducive to a peaceful dining or drink experience. However, it provided lots of atmosphere and the place was vibrant.

We eat here often when in Cornwall. This was our first stay. We booked the superior ocean view room. stunning view over Fistral, massive window for views every which way. rooms are huge. extremely clean. coffee machine and bottled water. Fresh milk available. Huge sunken bath tub with complimentary bubble bath to sit in with Prosecco and look out to sea. The bed was quite lumpy and not so comfy however it was enormous with lovely crisp linen and great pillows. Room service was friendly and quick and nothing was too much trouble. Food was beautiful. Breakfast in room- no extra charge and we were shocked to find my boyfriend could have the eggs Benedict AND the pancakes Aswell as croissants! (Military man not just a piggy!!) Lena that checked us in and seemed to be on duty out ENTIRE stay was a gem. So warm and friendly and so helpful. Already booking our next stay!

Bed could be comfier. Rooms rather echoey. Could not turn the heat in the room down so had to sleep with window open… when next to the waves however, you let this go! Would have given 11/10 had the bed been comfier and the room temp lower!

Everything was as good as its always been. We will be back again later in the year as usuall.

Our room this time was on the upper level. We could not fault the room itself but there was a constant ventilation noise all night which was rather annoying.this was reported at the time and we were assured that it would be looked into. Next time we will request a room on the lower level as we had no such issues in these rooms on previous visits The addition of a mini fridge in the rooms would I think be much appreciated by all guests.

Room 18 located on the lower ground was perfect for both great views of the headland and the sea and it was relaxing to hear the sea crashing against the rocks below your window. The deluxe room is a large room with both a stand alone bath and a walk in shower. The breakfasts were excellent and we had two very good meals in the restaurant on the evening. If you are planning on eating in the restaurant probably best to book in advance as it was quite busy when we went. All the staff were very friendly and happy to help.

This hotel is always a pleasant stay we look forward to. Just perfect to daydream out of the windows,I have to add the bucket velvet chair in our room was so comfy I spent a long while gazing across the ocean.. Breakfast was superb & we had the same table as we did our last stay, ☺️

One thing I would criticise is that below our room other residents would stand & smoke next to the tables & balcony.i am a non smoker and this could ideally be strictly out front upper end of the carpark

What can I say about this lodge. The location is wonderful, the interior decor is picturesque, the exterior is exquisite, it’s a place I would love to visit again. The breakfast overlooking the sea, the room by the sea, it’s romantic and relaxing. You realize how earth is beautiful and the only thing that matters is conserving her. The telescope and the classical music in the room is chef’s kiss. You get shampoo, conditioner and bubble bath with a scent of the sea, leaves you feeling like a little girl again, with no worries in the world. I got a bath tub and shower also overlooking the sea, idyllic. And the floor is heated, warm on the feet like it’s summer by the sea. If I visit again, it would definitely not be alone, I would need to utilize the view more efficiently, if you know what I mean.

The first thing is the remote, it definitely needs more cleaning. The TV is quite small, however the view from the sea is sufficient. Not bad, but not very nice for a solo travelled, you’d feel alone since everyone is with friends and family, unless you’re like me and you don’t mind.

Beautiful location perched on the edge of the cliffs of the peninsula with great views of the sea from the bedroom and restaurant. Luxurious bedroom with very comfortable, large bed, great shower and bath. Lovely welcoming staff on arrival and good service throughout our stay with lovely evening meal and breakfast.

The only thing you could possibly improve would be to clean the outside of the bedroom window of seagull mess. Realise this is difficult to avoid and difficult to access to clean.

The ocean view from the room was exceptional! The room was very comfortable with great bath and shower. Lovely to be so close to beautiful headland views and to two beaches. The restaurant served good food, with lots of choice. Reception desk staff were excellent, with waiters usually very friendly. Good parking available too.

A couple of very minor issues. Restaurant was very busy, so orders occasionally a bit mixed up. This is picky, but the fruit at breakfast (with granola & pancakes) could have been a bit more generous.

From the location to the quality of the rooms and the friendly staff, you could not wish for a more perfect stay. Everything was excellent.

The only thing I could critique is that we were woken up early by deliveries and bin collection due to the location of our room being at the back near the loading bay ect however this didn’t impact us all too much and certainly not enough to say this stay was less than excellent.
