Super friendly staff couldn't do more to help us feel at home in this delightful little surf pension. The room was bright and airy with views to the beach. Was very quiet as we were in low season still. My friend left his bag on the bus and the manager helped us contacting the bus company and retrieving it on the next bus passing The no 56 bus stop is directly outside for a 5 minute journey to airport which is reason we chose this place. Watergate bay is a lovely alternative to Newquay with everything you need for a surf stay including great food in the cafe on the beach!

Duvet is really a bit too light for the cool nights still. Otherwise the room had everything we needed including kettle, fridge, coffee, tea and biscuits!

Perfect for what we wanted. Location fantastic and nothing precious in the room as we trapsed in with kids and sand so ideal for what we needed.

When I stripped the bed when we were leaving, there were no pillow protectors, mattress protector or duvet protectors. As a bare minimum these are expected for hygiene so that was massively disappointing.

The radiator in our room could only give modest heat. The en-suite to our room was narrow but functional.

I liked the friendliness of the place, it had a delightful 'quirkiness' and originality to it. And the restaurant was delightful

It would help a lot to have had specific directions about no entrance near for car, and directions about car parking. We drove straight past, and got lost. Luckily met some people further on who told us where it was.

Loved the room, nicely decorated and a comfy bed, the only thing with the room was that the TV didn't work due to signal, nice touches with the tea and coffee. Staff were welcoming and really friendly and happy to help. The restaurant/bar was also great, the food was really nice. Also couldn't beat being so close to the sea, it was beautiful.

Other than the TV in the room not working because of the signal everything was great.

Great location practically in the beach. Great bar and restaurant and surf school attached. Friendly and efficient staff. Spacious room with sea view (and not sea peeps), comfortable and exceptionally clean.

Some of the furniture was a little tired and looked like wet clothing had been placed on it. Had to be mindful of the step in the bathroom. A glow in the dark strip on it would help.

located so perfectly just across the road from the watergate bay! also the parking across the road is free after 16.00. aswell as reduced pricing on all food and drinks was for sure a bonus as the food was amazing!

unfortunately during our stay on the last night/early hours the hotel/restaurant experienced a fault with the fire alarm and was not able to turn it off so we had no sleep that night as it went off all night and we had to sit in the restaurant area most of the night. we had a 5 hour drive home the next day. due to this my partner had to take several brakes during our journey because of the lack of sleep.

The location was perfect! The place was great! We Really enjoyed our stay! The staff were great! Helped with all our needs! Also the food in the restaurant was lovely!

We had to ask ask for toilet rolls. Could have done with bigger bath towels. And as someone else said, better to be white towels.

Great location in a stunning setting, lots of DVD’s to binge on a rainy day, staff were all helpful too

We went at a particularly windy time and there was something banging off the side of the wall all night (maybe air con unit?)

The lady was exceedingly kind and generous and allowed us in our room earlier than expected. Very helpful. Very appreciative.

It was the quiet season, would love to come back when busy. Would had liked a simple breakfast, even pre ordered? But I knew there wasn't any breakfast before I went there. Not a problem.
