I loved the location of the hotel as it was so central to everything we needed and even better- only a 5minute walk to the motor point arena! The staff, even down to the cleaning staff were so polite and friendly. The rooms were comfortable enough, even though they were basic, but when you just need it to get ready in the morning and have a bed to sleep in at night, it's pretty perfect.

The only little thing I didn't like was that there was no mini fridge in the room to keep any special dietary requirements in, like non dairy milk that needs to be refrigerated, so it did stop me from being able to have hot drinks in the room. So if guests are able to, take your own for such things.

Location was exactly what I was looking for - from the train station, it was approx 10 mins walk (gentle uphill for about half of it but manageable for a 75 yr old with a small suitcase) to the hotel which was easily visible from the road. Check-in was slightly slow, but only because there was a small queue in front of us. The room (twin accessible) was perfectly functional, no frills, but comfortable beds and shower gel along with tea bags and coffee sachets were provided. There were plenty of eateries within walking distance (3 or 4 mins) nearby, as well as a Tesco Express right next door. Motorpoint Arena was less than 10 mins walk from the Ibis, and very easy to navigate. Breakfast was a self-serve buffet with lots of options including hot and cold food. Although we didn't use it, I did see that parking was available at a multistorey car park directly opposite the hotel and I'd have no issue in using that car park if I were to visit Ibis Nottingham again.

The room was a little stuffy and had no opening windows, but the hotel had done their best to make it comfortable by having a heater/cooler mounted on the wall in the room along with a really useful floor standing fan. We stayed in exceptionally hot weather though.

Great location,2 minutes walk to the river, superb pub next door, lovely private sunny outside area, spacious.

The only thing stopping me giving this a 10 was the lack of storage in the bedroom, no wardrobe,(except a couple of hooks on the wall)no chest of drawers, not even any drawers in the bedside cabinet, we literally camped out of a suitcase for the week, plenty of room in the bedroom to accommodate some furniture, but all it had was a large shoe rack, would possibly put me off booking again, which is a great shame as everything else has been done to an excellent standard.

The room was good, we originally booked a twin bed and a cot as we have a baby, I requested the cot beforehand but when we got to the room it wasn’t there so had to request it again. Then a staff came to bring the cot and noticed that we’re uncomfortable and immediately offered a family room for us without extra charge. The staff was phenomenal he had to come back a few times to get extra duvets and stuff didn’t complain once. Very professional and accommodating. Walking distance to the shopping center and other places. Overall we had a great stay, I recommend the hotel.

I request the cot beforehand but didn’t have it prepared before we got into the room.

Location is great -- close (walking distnance) to rail station, castle, canal & shopping including Tesco & Sainsbury's (meal deals!) Room (including linens, towels) was clean w/ big window that opened for fresh air & not a bad view! Coffee/tea etc w/clean cups, glasses & kettle. I got lost on the way (I'm 'directionally challenged' haha!). Reception staff not only answered my call quickly, one stood outside the hotel waving so I finally got there! Staff at all hours were friendly & helpful -- providing map & even a new key when I left mine in the room.

the windows were so clean my dog actually bumped her nose trying to walk thru! Kidding aside, there was nothing to dislike!

Enjoy and respect Ibis as accept dogs.

Would like/expect full air-con - not 'cooling' system! Not overly hot weather in April, in UK, room still very stuffy/hot, as, 'safety feature' window only opens approx 4 inches.......so unless wind in certain direction, to enter small space, no air enters room. Had blind down each day to keep out sun. As room so hot, had to have window open at night. Room 303/Easter, had lots of noise from outside adjacent bar - open until 1am? Lots of shouting and screaming from bar visitors. As busy, settled did not want hassle of changing rooms.

Nice view out onto the city in a central location. Easy to reach. There is a bus and a tram stop near the front door.

During the breakfast, I saw some moldy bread, (probably caused by the bread being too close to the toaster). When I reported it, they sounded really sorry and I feel confident that they will look into alternative locations for the toaster. (Note, if you don't feel comfortable with the food there are shops nearby).

The hotel room was lovely, providing us with hand-wash, body wash, hair wash and basic toiletries. Also a selection of instant coffee and teas paired with sweetners and sugars, a working kettle, plug socket and 2 mugs. The bed sheets were fresh and clean, the tv had a variety of channels to choose from suitable for any age. The breakfast was one of the best ones I've had, with inclusively ranging from cereals to baked crisp croissants and muffins to warm hashbrowns beans and sausages, all you could ask for. The beverages were lovely, flavoured tea, coffee and freshly served cranberry, apple, and orange juice to pair.

The room was slightly tatty in places. Cigarette burns etc stained carpet.

Location is quite good, adjacent to tram stop (one stop from station: expensive if single trip; cheap if using tram elsewhere in day). Reasonable walking distance from city centre (or station if unencumbered). Room was typical chain hotel style: generally comfortable and adequate. Heating controls were simple and worked well. Bed was comfortable and bedside light adequate. Shower fine.

Room had but one (hard) chair and very dim lighting; it would not suit someone who wanted to work or otherwise spend much time sitting around. There was a small amount of street noise which didn't bother me, but these were Sunday to Tuesday nights and a light sleeper might be disturbed. I took breakfast one day (£12). It was not the worst hotel buffet I've encountered but certainly not the best. The food selection was fairly basic and it suffered the usual problems of lukewarm food kept waiting for too long. Price seemed fairly stiff for chain.

Very helpful staff....excellent location just minutes walk from the train station towards the center which is right there...food shops within 2 doors (tesco x)..... room was perfunctionary but perfectly fine..... But the best thing was the best cooked self service breakfast I have ever had...and I'm a chef...they obviously had a chef and not just a cook on ...everything was just a little bit special.... very fresh pastries fluffy scrambled eggs hash browns actually browned and not just heated up and slightly sweet strip bacon....beautiful...and only a tenner Iff you have a night out in Nottingham coming up this place is spot on
