The breakfast on Saturday morning was lovely - freshly baked muffins and brilliantly cooked breakfast. The room was fresh, clean, with a good view and good facilities. The bed was very comfortable too. Staff were also very welcoming and helpful.
The hotel seems to be across from a bar, who played quite loud music till around midnight but this was okay as it stopped at around midnight and it surprisingly didn't disrupt my sleep too much.

Location. Comfortable bed, good lighting heating and tv safe and even an iron and ironing board
I chose a”cosy” room as I was one person. This would be fine for an over night but for several days was far too small. The bed took up 50%+ of the floor space , the shower only has an overhead shower and the very small shower tray made it almost impossible to contort the body so the water reached all areas. A hand held shower is desperately needed. Also the bathroom light switch was so inconveniently placed as to actively discourage turning off the light when not in use. I would the hotel again but for more than one night would definitely pay extra for a larger room.

We stayed for two nights (standard room) and chose the Radisson due to its location. It was my first time in York and I wanted to be in walking distance to all the known locations, food, Minister, ghost walks, etc. The location was superb, you are about 4 minutes from the bridge over the Ouse, not even 10 from the Minister. It really is the perfect location for anyone who wants to explore. The area is safe (literally next to York police station but no sirens!) There is a little park area next to the hotel, which is beautiful in evening time (If you're a bat fan, look out for them eating on the water's surface!) The hotel room was clean and comfortable, no joke this is probably the most comfortable bed I have ever slept in, it was a job and a half to get my partner up in the morning! The hotel also offers a bar and breakfast, but we didn't use these, though from talking with other people in the hotel, they are very good. What I also particularly liked was the late check-out time of 12pm, you can request longer, and they even offer to hold your bags while you explore York. Staff were lovely and friendly, professionally and approachable. All in all, would 100% stay here again. OH, and if you are a history fan, there is a lot to read up on in the hotel's area!
When we first arrived we were a bit confused about the location of the stairs from the upper floors. One of the elevators was not working, so we thought it may be quicker to grab the stairs as there was a bit of a wait for the lifts, however, we walked around the floor and could not find them. It says online there are emergency exit routes, so I should have checked at reception (that's on me).

Lovely comfortable bed, very clean. Easy to check in and out, and absolutely fantastic location — I didn’t have to walk more than 15 minutes for major points on interest (Shambles, York Minster, Cliffords Tower)
Breakfast finishes at 9:30 in the week which is probably great for corporate guests but not so convenient for leisure stays. Similarly, there’s a call and collect service for the restaurant which I assume has lovely food but which I didn’t utilise as I find once you’re in for the night, when you’re most likely to want food from in the hotel, you’re not always presentable to traipse up and down the lifts!

The location was good, easy to walk to all attractions within 10-15 minutes. The bed was very big and comfortable, there were lots of hangers, and a full length mirror / mirror on the desk which was good. Tea and coffee provided, a hair dryer and an ironing board. Enough room to store all of our things.
I really didn’t like how we had to pay to park in the hotels car park. It was £40 for two nights which doesn’t sit well as a paying hotel guest. There were a few things in our room that weren’t 100% clean or a little bit run down (paint peeling off, shower tiles a little broken) but nothing that would put us off. The shower did annoy me a bit it wasn’t a very comfortable experience, bad water pressure, and very open which makes you feel a bit cold/exposed.

room was comfortable with all expected items as well as view of river and York Minster. Hotel location was good with 8 minute walk from the railway station and 10 minute walk to city centre. Breakfast had good selection .
The 4 Steps from the roadway drive to the main entrance of the hotel were very steep and deep and not at all comfortable. There was a sloped walkway but this was a very lengthy distance to a side entrance. In room 713 there was a humming unidentified noise which may have been coming from the air condition or some other mechanics. This was reported to the hotel and they were to investigate

I love how modern this place is it’s our second staying here it’s not a far walk from the train station or into the city centre we really love coming here. I wanted a riverside room and was willing to pay £20 extra for this when it was looked into the staff member said you already are placed in a riverside so it’s fine. Which I thought was really honest of her she could have just took the £20 I guess! Our room was on the third floor which seemed noisier than when we were on the 8th but it’s not a problem for us if you want a better view of the river obviously higher is better. Oh and I told them it was my birthday and they wrote me a birthday card and gave two little goodies which I thought was cute! They did similar for our anniversary in September last year 🥰
My only dislike is the communal toilets down stairs I feel like they aren’t in keeping with how lovely it is inside everywhere else but not something that would really bother me.

It was clean and tidy and the cleaners made your bed every morning and replenished the tea and coffee
We ate here one night, the food was delicious! However, our table was not set with a cutlery and when I asked for some, the waiter explained he would return with some. After some time, our food became cold whilst waiting, so I asked behind the bar and was given some to set myself. As we stayed during the week, the restraunt was fairly empty with less that half tables full. We could hear a couple disputing the bill rather loudly, and we had to wait around 40 minutes to catch the attention of the waiting staff. Once we checked the bill, there was a mandatory service charge, which, considering I had to set our own table, get our own drinks from the bar and wait over 40 minutes for our bill I was not best pleased paying.

Location was great for walking into and around town. Not far from all the main site seeing attractions like the York Minister, Roman Wall, Shambles, Town centre shops & Bars and York Castle. Didn't have to use my car once.
1 - High possibility that Radisson Car park will be full on arrival. I had to park at NCP Car Park a short walk (5-10min) from Hotel, so be sure to unload your luggage at the hotel first, then go to NCP. 2 - Whilst the location was great being very close to town, just on the banks of the River Ouse. We were able to see York Minister from our 8th floor room (see attached photo). At night you could hear the sounds of the town, bars, clubs, ambulance & police sirens fairly clearly from my room. I think more sound proofing would have been helpful.

This hotel was lovely, providing all the amenities I needed to have a relaxing stay. The single rooms are on the bigger side which was nice as a solo traveler with a lot of luggage! The hotel entrance and elevator are also completely accessible with no stair access. The hotel bar and restaurant looked nice, although I opted for only drinks so I can't speak to the food. The location is perfect, with most major sites being no more than a 10-minute walk away. Overall, a great value for what you get!
My keycard would randomly stop working so I had to reactivate every single day of my stay. Not the biggest inconvenience but still a frustration as you need a key to use the elevator.
