Lovely apartment. Good location, close to the train station and parking if required. The cleaners were very nice the next morning. Nice little touches of water in the fridge and shower gels etc.Just a big shame to have caused stress by no contact. One email/phone call l to confirm all ok....would have made the difference.

The terrible lack of communication from the owners. Agreed an early check in, weeks in advance, as we were going to a wedding. To be mucked around the night before. Tried calling many, many times at different times of the day. Email bounces back. Ridiculous when you are paying £200 a night!

Brilliant location and it’s a lovely modern conversion. We loved the high-tech light switches! We were only there one night but we would happily have stayed longer! I paid extra to have an earlier check in and this was worth it for me.

The kitchen light didn’t work so it was a bit dark as there is very little natural light downstairs. I only noticed it quite late in the day and chose to deal with it. Similarly one of the built-in bedside lights didn’t work but there was a spare plug-in lamp so we just used that. These were very minor and really didn’t detract from our stay. I reported them to the host and am confident they will be fixed.

The apartment was really lovely and had everything you would need for a short break! The location was great and we enjoyed our stay.

The only slight disappoint was that the apartment could’ve been cleaned more thoroughly - there were a couple of items left behind from previous guests in the bedroom underneath the sides of the bed and the walls and furniture were marked which I’m sure was just wear and tear. If we were to come and stay again it would be great to see that the whole place could have a bit more of a hoover and clean before our arrival - we still had a great stay nonetheless so thank you so much!

The stay at the apartment was exceptional and I could not believe how good everything was, starting from location from the city centre (0.6 m) to every facility provided including air conditioning, washing, self cooking and modernised interiors with switch control on every level. Everything mentioned in York Aparthotel’s description is accurate and even better. Me and my friend were looking to store our luggage somewhere after checkout, before we catch our train back, and the staff was immediately helpful about the same. They provided a manual for every appliance and nearby supermarkets & takeaways so its easier for people to navigate the city. I am definitely looking forward to booking the place on my next visit to York.

The pub behind can be a little noisy, but it was not too much of a bother ! Additionally, the shutter on our bedroom skylight was put on (I am assuming by the staff), on the morning of our checkout, so it was hard to open the window for ventilation and the room was darker, again not a big issue !

Fantastic Location & an amazing price paid. Booked last minute to find the place was ready & already cleaned to a very high standard upon arrival. Loved how well the properties design has been thought out, nothing has been missed or over looked. Everything possible was there to use & enjoy. Bed was lovely & comfortable, we slept really well. The special added extras were really appreciated - conditioning shampoo's & wall mounted sanitary disposal bags in bathroom. Tea & coffee/hot chocolate & sugar sachets in kitchen & milk pods in fridge. 2 bottles of refrigerated water & even ice in the freezer for us too! The bedding & towels were clean & fresh. We can't wait to stay here again!

Was not able to operate oven or switch it on - An idiot proof instruction card for the oven would be useful.

The apartment is small but perfect for 1-2 people. The bedroom and ensuite are bright and modern. It had what I needed for an overnight stay.

There was some early morning noise from the brewery delivering to the pub next door but I was up for work so not a massive issue. It wasn't that easy to get to from the train station due to all the roadworks, it would have been helpful to be directed towards George Hudson street rather than the top of Micklegate. The air con is a bit complicated but works well.

Convenient location- short walk to railway station, shops and city centre. Clean, comfortable, good shower , lighting system. Convenient, cheap parking. Lovely apartment, well maintained inside and out . Good quality linens . Comfortable bed. Easy check in . Tea/coffee/milk/bottled water. Good facilities.

Quite noisey - pub garden at the rear of the Apartments - VERY noisey until about 11PM , still talking until 6am .( I did have the window open after midnight ) Too noisey for us but if you can sleep through anything then these are perfect Apartments. Shower - needs mould removed. Coasters - needed cleaned . All else - VERY clean and well maintained.

Had everything you need in one compact little apartment. What a great design. Liked all the modern technology. Lovely shower. Clean, very comfortable bed and duvet.

The property could be exceptional with some attention to minor detail or snags. For example our kitchen tap was hanging off and wasnt fixed down, the digital aerial for the upstairs tv has a very poor signal so we couldn’t watch tv upstairs, there was grout missing behind the bathroom sink, the velux blind was jammed shut and wouldn’t open. The reviews indicate other guests have had similar issues in the other apartments. There was some noise from the pub next door late at night but that is to be expected in a city centre.

The cute little modern house was not far from the train station and just around the corner and over the bridge from the cathedral. It has everything you would need for a short stay even a washing machine..there was a booklet that shows you how everything works in the house (unusual but very welcomed addition). There was a long email explaining how to get into the property etc….they have made every effort to make your stay as easy as possible.

Nice and clean, bed was very comfortable. Air conditioning was a great help. Good location for city centre, just a few mins walk away. I left my straighteners in room and host very kindly agreed to post them back to me. Thank you.

Just a few little niggly things, which I'm only mentioning as an explanation of why I did not give an excellent rating.. I'm only 5ft 2 and I was banging my head on the slanted ceiling every time I got out of bed, I can imagine that for someone who is tall, this would be very uncomfortable. Parking situation not great, only 4 spaces available but when we arrived, other guests had parked inconsiderately and 3 cars had taken up all of the space. Not owners fault I know but it could have been made clearer before booking that parking was not 100% guaranteed as I ended up having to pay £26 to park overnight. Some of the light switches are mixed up so when you press ceiling lights, the bathroom light comes on and vice versa, not too inconvenient but was a bit of a pain.
