Good location just down the road from the main airport if you’re just arriving for a night’s stay. A bit dated but comfortable size room for a family with 2 queens plus a pull out. Nice restaurant for a breakfast on site plus a patio on a nice day. View floatplanes on lake hood…busiest seaplane base in the world. Cool vintage aviation decor.

Not part of downtown area if that is your goal. Provided 4 towels when reservation for 5. No bedding for pull out until requested. Also 2 bottles of water provided in room, then front desk made a point to tell me I’d be charged for the additional 3 I requested. The little extra’s are what can make a good place Great.

We had dinner which was good and the waitress was very nice. Front desk was nice our first night when we arrived, great location to the airport. The front desk was also very nice and accommodating our last night before flying out of Alaska, our first room smelled like smoke so they quickly found us another room.

The first morning we needed a shuttle to the rental car at the airport and we had to wait a half an hour. Our last morning we had to catch a shuttle at 4:15am, we called at 4:00am to let them know and we arrived at the front door at 4:13 and the front desk said it already left. Questioning why we were told to call 15 minutes before we needed the shuttle, she said it doesn't wait. Fortunately, she called another shuttle and it arrived 10 minutes later. A little panicked, since our flight was at 6:00am, I asked why were we told to call 15 minutes ahead and the shuttle doesn't wait knowing a quest needed a pick up at 4:15. We also verified that the shuttle would be available and on time in the morning since our first experience we called and it did not show for 30 min.

Proximity to airport is good and less than 10 mins to CBD. Staff were helpful and accomodating. Rooms on 2 levels but no lift so be aware with big bags. Baggage storage was great. Restaurant was pub/sports bar and seating in and out. Menu was good and meals large. Breakfast is basic and not cheap. Staff were not that attentive like those the previous evening even though wasn’t busy. Liked the aviation theme throughout the property. Rooms big albeit a little dated. Some have views to the lake but not many.

It’s a bit dated and the price is high. But that’s Anchorage in summer.

Older hotel that was well kept. Clean, comfortable beds and able to fit our family of 6 in the suite (two queens and a sofa bed). Staff was friendly and helpful when we needed extra linens to set up the sofa bed. On-site restaurant was very good and priced better than other area restaurants we had been too. Nice location near lake with float planes. 24hr on call availability of airport shuttle was perfect for our 4am ride to the airport. Less than 5 min from airport. Would stay there again.

Sofa bed mattress was not comfortable and should be replaced.

Our 2nd night a week later was better. We also were able to take advantage of the early morning shuttle service to airport on leaving as well as the freezer storage for our wonderful catch. Friendly and helpful staff. Clean comfortable room. Restaurant dinner this stay was better than last weeks stays breakfast as we were only there for one meal each stay. Nice location close to main airport and on float plane lake. Would book again.

No elevator for hauling luggage up. Older hotel.

Quite, yet not lonely, hustle and bustle plus restaurant/bar PIPERS is a true tourist bar, busy and interesting customers may share a word, sm. Story and unique is a good thing to be a part of. Love the single engine, airports in Anchorage. Largest "planes occupying" water airport in the world. (LAKE HOOD) Merril Field Busiest single aircraft airport in the world I believe as well.

No ice cream

This was the perfect hotel to kick off our 2 week vacation. It was close to the airport so easy to find after our evening flight. The restaurant sits right on the lake, so provided the perfect ambiance as the family gathered to meet and talk about our pending adventures. Food was great, rooms were very comfortable. I'd stay here again!

We liked the quiet room and the delicious and well priced meals at the restaurant. Thank you for the room upgrade. The fitness center was good.

Waiting 1.5 hours at the airport because it wasn’t clear that the shuttle bus has on it Alaska Park in big letters rather than Coast Inn. Calls to the hotel went to an answering machine for the number listed on Booking. Com Not much to see in the surrounding area. Some walking around the lake available.

We thought the services were friendly and very responsive. The porter service was fast and got us up those stairs. The front desk staff was warm and friendly. The shuttle came within 2 mins after being called. The restaurant was crowded and chaotic but settled down some within 30 minutes.

The restaurant was crowded and chaotic. Once people moved out, the service was good and food decent. .

Great location near airport, yet still very quiet. Comfortable & spacious & clean rooms, very convenient for packing & repacking. Restaurant has surprisingly good food!

Staff cannot answer even the simplest of questions. Incorrect information or ‘don’t know‘. Very expensive for no frills night stay.
