Quite, yet not lonely, hustle and bustle plus restaurant/bar PIPERS is a true tourist bar, busy and interesting customers may share a word, sm. Story and unique is a good thing to be a part of. Love the single engine, airports in Anchorage. Largest "planes occupying" water airport in the world. (LAKE HOOD) Merril Field Busiest single aircraft airport in the world I believe as well.

Waiting 1.5 hours at the airport because it wasn’t clear that the shuttle bus has on it Alaska Park in big letters rather than Coast Inn. Calls to the hotel went to an answering machine for the number listed on Booking. Com Not much to see in the surrounding area. Some walking around the lake available.

We thought the services were friendly and very responsive. The porter service was fast and got us up those stairs. The front desk staff was warm and friendly. The shuttle came within 2 mins after being called. The restaurant was crowded and chaotic but settled down some within 30 minutes.

Perfect location close to the airport with free shuttle service. Not noisy and certainly doesn't disturb your sleep. Very reasonably priced. If you are an aviation geek then this is the place for you. The hotel is aviation themed with great pictures, it is right next to a big seaplane base and the Anchorage Aviation museum is a 30 min walk. The staff were all very friendly, the rooms are spacious and clean. We stayed for a day prior to our departure and this hotel was a lot better than the one we used on arrival.

The staff was extremely friendly and made me feel welcome. The restaurant was inexpensive and catered to a clientele of practical adventurers. The location AT A SEAPLANE BASE was the best! It prompted me to go out and earn my Seaplane license!

The slight inconvenience of no elevator or ramp to the second deck. But that was a very minor inconvenience.

The staff were really lovely and the breakfast and restaurant great. I loved the location and watching the planes coming and going. The property is quite old but it’s lovely and the staff make it great

I was a long way from reception and being on my own would have like to be a bit closer to reception. A view would have been great. I got the car park

Conveniently located and it was nice to walk around the lake and see the seaplanes at Lake Hood aero drome. Dinner in the restaurant was very good and they have a good bar.

The bedding was not good. Lumpy overstuffed pillows and thin blanket. The shower water pressure was excellent but I felt the tiles were not quite clean.

very accomodating! we had to book on very short notice because of a flight delay and received an immediate reply by the staff about the late check in at night not being a problem! thank you very much for the flexibility and friendlyness at this late hour, it is much apprechiated!

We arrived late and were not able to spend the entire night due to flight problems on the way from LAX. The Inn is being updated and remodeled and will look very nice when finished. This is the closest hotel to Anchorage Airport, Piper's, the restaurant , is quite nice and their Reuben sandwich was the best I have had in a long time.

There was no breakfast which had been advertised in the listing on booking.com. I only stayed one night so I didn't have to experience it but I want to weigh in on a new policy I saw posted at the desk. It is posted that maid service is only by request. I don't appreciate that policy. I believe it is using Covid as an excuse to give less service. I want to at least have the maid empty the trash, refresh the towels and supplies such as coffee and paper.
