I loved the asthetic and the type of vibe the place gave. i’ve never stayed at a “Hostel” but my gf and I wanted to spend the night and we found this place being the cheapest per night so we gave it a shot and this place was amazing and cute. We got the bathroom suite, so we had our own bathroom there were absolutely no issues or complaints other than the fact the shower never stops dripping no matter what and it’ll become annoying eventually. But staff was warm friendly and inviting as well as the big bear YOGI the property dog, we went in january of 2025 i cried saying goodbye to yogi as we hope to see him when we return bc we most definitely will. Me and my gf js had an overall great time with no issues at all love this place forsure coming back my next visit 🫶

Water dripping from shower head it is loud

I liked the feeling of comfort and pleasant company in the evenings. I was especially pleased with the idea of stove heating due to the fireplace at night. It creates a chic atmosphere of something close to the frontier: Pieces of wood crackle in the fireplace, someone is playing a guitar, pine trees are visible from the window, and somewhere in the distance you can hear the howling of coyotes

The only nuance is the kitchen. On the one hand, this is a hostel for people who will travel far from here the next day, however, if they could arrange a modest continental breakfast (so that there would be something other than a mixture for making pancakes and eggs), it would be ideal

Wonderful location, good energy. Btw when I left at 2am to beat the heat, Yogi dog was barking at what sounded like wild animals fighting in the woods! Interesting, although this made me think twice about the idea of camping in a tent outside, I'm glad I booked a room & bed to be inside - vs a tent! : ). But otherwise, I might suggest having mace for anyone outside camping! :) . BTW, that entire house has the best flushing toilets I've ever seen. I wonder who the plumber is : ) nice.

I have no complaints

Everyone was awesome, Bed was comfortable, fresh air and soothing critter sounds from the forest, comfortable bed, (firm but still soft), and great ambiance. Lovely building from 1919. And got to sing at the open mic!!

Well not crazy about sharing a bathroom but it was clean and I think there was only one other person sharing it with me. Plus got a better price to share a bathroom.

My partner and I loved our stay here. They were really welcoming, solved a toilet issue we had immediately. They have activities to do every night at the hostel, and there is a game room where you can spend your time. Our room was clean, and we loved Yogi the dog. It is a huge plus that the breakfast is included as well.

nothing, everything was great!

This place truly felt like a home, because it basically is. The common areas are cozy & spacious, and the porch overlooks the lake. Also, Chaz! He was so welcoming, friendly, and he makes great pancakes! I could not have had a better stay and would highly recommend this hostel to anyone.

Second toilet lock was broken, but i can’t and i don’t want complain anything 🙂

I think the best part for me was the water pressure in the shower and the hammock on the front deck. Can't forget about the jaccuzi! Everything is in walking distance! Everybody there was extremely friendly, and the place is gorgeous 😍 ✨️ 💕 I would highly recommend staying at this cabin! Great place, people, and pricing.

I felt so welcomed by Jackie and everyone was just so nice to meet during my stay! There was amazing energy, Yogi was a cutie, and I was beyond impressed by how tidy the whole place was. So many amenities, practically heavenly!

Not a fan of the Elk head, I felt intimidated instead of welcomed. Not an appealing aesthetic for me. More people might use the common room without it.

I really like this place. It's the best hostel I've stayed in. Very fair price and even comes with the free breakfast. Great staff

I do wish the beds were a little higher quality (metal frame bunks that move & squeak) and had some lockable storage
