If you get a room overlooking the Pacific you’ll love it . Bathrooms a little tired but the main rooms are really nice and beds really comfy.

The pool was closed which wasn’t mentioned when we booked and the main restaurant was closed in the evening but bar food was available . You do need a car as there no public transport to get into main Carmel ( a ten min drive max ).

stunning relaxing vacation…spacious and serene. super happy with our two story townhouse and full kitchen it was perfect for 4 nights to have coffee and breakfast in and just a few fabulous meals out. fireplace was fun on the day we got rained in and we never felt cramped, very homey. loved the outdoor hot tub and jacuzzi in our room. we had great ocean views

our unit was a timeshare and in DIRE needs of upgrades. one sink handle in the lower bathroom didn’t work, a drawer was missing a handle upstairs, and the mattresses were pretty soft but they told us all those units are getting remodels in Feb so once that’s done this will be back to a primo spot to stay near Big Sur and Carmel

fantastic views and fantastic staff. The restaurant had amazing views over the Pacific with wonderful food options. Upon checkout they collected our cases from our room and even place them inside our car without being asked which even involved opening the convertible top to fit one suitcase onto the backseat.. I would highly recommend this hotel

Outstanding location. Great view from our room and from the restaurant. Food in the restaurant was good.

The room and facilities could use some updating. The nice wood fireplace in the room was replaced with a cheesy fake fireplace. Food in the restaurant was quite expensive.

It’s very clean, comfortable and quiet. It was nice that you could have both fireplace and air condition on in the winter time. Room is big and bright with nice view.

There are trees in front of the room that block the ocean view.

The view from out sea view room was fantastic, as is the view from the restaurant where we had breakfast. Watching whales while having breakfast was a first.

The rooms are a bit tired and could do with modernisation.

I asked for a top floor Ocean View King room with an unobstructed view, and they gave it to me. The view of the coast and setting sun was spectacular. The view from the dining room is even more amazing. Dinner basically stopped, for all diners, while people took moved around and took pictures of the sunset and the rocky coast.

The rooms could use updating, as other reviews say. They're adequate, but not great for the price. Other reviews are also correct that accessing many rooms require navigating narrow stairs with suitcases. The bellhops are more than happy to assist.

every person we met that worked on the property greeted us with a friendly smile and kind words. Anything we asked about they took care of immediately. The gardens are absolutely gorgeous. The room was very comfortable and the view was spectacular. Can’t wait to come back again.

Spa tub and ocean view, both were excellent. Staff were friendly and helpful. Enjoyed my stay immensely.

Stairs in room incredibly steep and thin. I bet you can't do anything about that.

We had an ocean view, and we enjoyed seeing the sunset from our balcony while sipping a glass of champagne! We were celebrating our 70th wedding anniversary and the staff treated us royally!
