It was very clean, nicely updated, nice decor, hotel and room was spacious. Outdoor area had a nice fireplace. Location was close to many great restaurants and beach and freeway access.

The entrance to the hotel was not clearly marked and the signage was not lit up. We arrived after dark and followed Google maps, which brought us to the correct general location (a very dark shopping plaza) We saw the Holiday Inn entrance sign at the driveway but that was all. After unclear communication with the hotel staff and driving back and forth to various streets, we ended up on the same location. What we found out was that after the first sign we had to keep to the left and go behind a dark building to see the second sign, which was not lit up at all, then the hotel was up a hill so it was hard too see.

Hidden gem! It was a great hotel, nice pool, had elevator, decent breakfast, clean, and modern. Customer Service was great. I loved where the hotel was located. I will say, the incidental fee was $100 and they charge $10 a night for parking.

Noisy outside our hotel room in hallways and upstairs all day. There were sports teams guests that were loud and disrespectful. A bit overwhelming and chaotic mornings waking up to get breakfast while the sports team’s guests were there. We passed on getting breakfast next day to avoid the loud chaos.

Breakfast is probably good for most. I am a particular eater. I would have preferred to have available non sweetened yoghurt and whole milk. Fresh berries would have been good. Basically, I used my in-room refrigerator and purchased items I wanted from the store. I would have preferred a credit for the breakfast.

The hotel was a great value for the money. The rooms appeared to have been recently updated and were clean and inviting. The staff as well as house keeping were welcoming and friendly. We very much enjoyed our stay. We got up late each morning and missed the breakfast being served. It was nice they have a laundry facility to use.

No comment. Aboslutely will book this hotel again in the future.

Bed was great .. place was clean

i had a flight that was cancelled and I need a shuttle to the motel. I called the hotel and they gave me a # for a shuttle to call and the recording said they were not available at this time. I called the hotel again and they said I should wait by the red sign at the airport which I did and eventually got a ride. The first call I made for the shuttle was not local and I could barely understand her and she gave me false information. Everything else about the hotel was great

Cleanliness, ac worked well, comfortable room

I requested a room close to the pool on booking.com and it seemed like it wasn't even looked at. When checking in, we were told our room on the 3rd floor wasn't ready, but there was one next to the pool on the 2nd floor that was. I also received a messenge from the hotel that parking was $10, but I was charged $15.

The general room size was very good. We were glad to find extra pillows and a blanket in the room. The bed was comfortable and the seating on the couch was comfortable, too. The breakfast was terrific, and the woman who worked in the breakfast area the first 5 days we were there worked efficiently, and she was super friendly and helpful. The hotel was so clean, the lobby area cheerful and welcoming, and the desk staff helpful and friendly. Location was good for us. I also liked that the hotel is fairly small. This was a very good experience!

I HATE the trend for such high beds in hotels! I'm a 5'5" woman, not short, and it was really difficult for me to get into the bed! Same at all hotels-ugh! The hand towel bar directly in front of the sink was awkward to say the least. Also, there was no towel bar for hanging bath towels, so we had to swing them over the shower curtain rod to get them out of the way. Awkward! A larger bathroom would have been better. Alternatively, a sink/vanity area separate from the toilet & shower room would have been better.

Loved the pool, breakfast, clean room, and wonderful cleaning staff. They are so thoughtful! It's a great location, great price, and the traffic is not too loud. Overall somewhere we will definitely stay again!

The front desk staff is less than considerate. They quoted me the wrong price for my total stay, charged my card, and then surprised me with another charge 5 days into my stay. Apparently they had misquoted me. The check-in receipt that I signed dis not have a total at the bottom, and I felt like the whole thing was shady. When I went to confront the desk later on about the two separate charges, they made a bunch of excuses and then went on to blame my bank. I've stayed at several hotels through the years, including another Holiday Inn, and I've never had separate charges for a stay. The whole thing was ridiculous. They were very condescending in their response to the situation. I was just simply trying to understand, I had no intention of not paying.

Everything was great, room was spacious and comfortable with a nice bathroom. Everywhere was clean. Staff were friendly. Breakfast was excellent. Even though it was right next to the freeway we didn't hear the traffic very much. Fairly close (5 min drive) to San Clemente pier and main shopping area.

Quite expensive but all accommodation in San Clemente seems to be pricey - so probably reasonable for the area. Someone was smoking weed and playing music in the room below us after midnight.

The room was clean and the amenities were decent. Unfortunately, the maintenance for the workout equipment room was lacking; Treadmill did not work and the water cooler kept beeping because it needed a filter change

The TV's HDMI ports were tampered with and I was not able to plug an HDMI cable from my laptop into the TV so I could stream any shows.
