Went here last year with my girlfriend and got the boat room which is small but was still fun. Came back now married to her and we got the ohana room which is twice as big and was a bit nicer. The only staff you see is a maid or 2 and the workers at the bar above the hotel. They give earplugs for people who are unaware that there is usually a bit of ruckus above from the restaurant/bar. But they include 2 free drinks and try to include the guests in the fun. All in all it's always enjoyable the location does a lot for the place as you can walk almost anywhere.

It can get a bit loud and if you need help it's not easy to get to though the owner usually sends a personal text to check up on you and is always a call or text away so it's really not an issue especially since we knew what we were getting into

I loved the decor and vibe of the Hotel/room. The location was also very central and the staff here was very friendly and helpful! The only concern I had was that our room, room 6 was directly beneath the bar of the upstairs restaurant and there was lots of chatter of the customers along with bar stools scraping across the floor. The noises stopped at around 10pm-ish when the restaurant/bar closed. If you are sensitive to noise and want a quiet place to hang, then I would take this into account. Otherwise, I enjoyed my stay here at Hotel Nomad!

The Location can’t be beat & Ambiance is cute & “Funky Surf Boutique”(Red/yellow & Orange are the general color motif ). Minka, the housekeeper is a doll!

Loud Noise (chairs scooting across floor and banging) from the rooftop restaurant until about 10:00pm. Thankfully it closes at that time but the noise started up again at 8:30am. Don’t expect to get a nap or in room quiet time until about 10:00pm …..Also, most of the rooms are actually subterranean so unless you don’t mind people looking down and into your space, the blinds covering the window can’t be opened for light …..

Great place with some local character in an unbeatable location at very good value. Shawn and the staff at the canteen also took excellent care of a group of us after an event nearby. What a great find!

There was some shuffling noise from the canteen upstairs between 9am and 10pm, but unless you're trying to go to bed early or sleep very late this wasn't an issue. The AC unit in our room leaked quite a bit, but it was in the bathroom area next to the shower so this wasn't a huge deal.

The location was great for our purposes. Parking was provided and easy to find with the map provided. Accommodations were simple, but clean and pleasant. Even though our room was right on the the street, the black-out curtains kept it dark, and it was quiet. The bed was comfortable; nice TV with steaming stations included.

This is a self-check-in hotel. I had not experienced this before. The check in was rather easy, but I missed having a person to greet us; to be able to ask questions; to contact if there was something wrong. I'm someone who gets up in the night to use the bathroom. The floors throughout the room were cold and bare. a few rugs would be an improvement. As far as amenities go, a box of tissues by the bed would have been nice.

I loved the canteen above the hotel. Service was amazing and I could tell that they scrubbed down the room before we came. We got two free drink cards to enjoy while our room was being deep cleaned. The rooms there are so amazing and have character to them. The hotel's location is right next to the main street where you can eat, drink, etc. Definitely coming here again.

The creative artistic interiors and the murals and paintings on the exterior. Also the restaurant on the top floor is eclectic and hip with excellent food. Nomads even gives each room 2 free drink coupons and who doesn't like free drink coupons!

It gets loud in my room from the resteraunt, but they do supply noise quieting ear buds and a speaker to play peaceful meditative nature sounds.

The cute factor, the comfortable bed and rad bunkbeds are awesome. The layout is perfect and they are super pet friendly. The location is perfect.

It’s downstairs from a restaurant/bar, so if you go to sleep on a normal schedule there’s lots of toe tapping overhead.

I absolutely love this location!! It fits all of our family needs and is so close to everything that we love in San Clemente. Highly recommend this place. Nomad's, of course, has an amazing restaurant, so it's super convenient for eating. The room was beautiful and we can't wait to return! Staff here is extremely helpful.

The only thing I would say could you an update are the mattresses. My son's bed was foam mattress (but it was a full size), the queen bed's were old school. He had the most comfortable bed, lol. Other than that, this place is so great.

I like the uniqueness of the Nomad rooms. I like that Mica has been the primary cleaner. I enjoyed talking with her twice. I really appreciate the drink voucher; feels special. The bed is amazingly comfortable. Just love Nomads!
