Old Town Inn is an excellent choice for visiting San Diego as a tourist. It's close to the airport--you can even take the free shuttle between the airport and nearby transit center during the hours that operate. The close walk from the inn to the trolley/bus station and to Old Town itself make the location top-notch. The inn is well-maintained, nicely landscaped, and cozy. We didn't have a car but there appeared to be plenty of parking. We felt safe there. The breakfast was decent. There were games and DVDs you could borrow. The pool was nice on a hot day.

The immediately surrounding area feels a bit commercial/industrial, like it grew up around the inn in a way that makes the setting less than ideal for the inn itself. However, it still felt safe and comfortable. The walk to Old Town proper is less than ten minutes, so it's more Old Town adjacent rather than in Old Town itself.

The location along with the proximity to The Old Town parks and restaurants were a quick walk away0

We enjoyed every aspect of our stay with the Old Town Mission Inn and we will be telling all of our family and friends about the wonderful Old Town Mission Inn! Thanks to all staff members.

This was the hotel we enjoyed the most on our trip! We only stayed one night. The grounds have beautiful landscaping and there is a lot of love and care in the property. Room was crisp and clean with comfy bed. We got in near midnight, and the front desk staff was friendly and very welcoming and helpful. Free breakfast was a bonus before we went to get brunch in Old Town. Overall just very restful and we wish we had stayed longer, can't wait until we can come back!

Just FYI you are near what I think is a military training center so we heard Star Spangled Banner blasted over the loud speakers off site early in the morning. That may be a perk for you though! Also housekeeping was knocking on the doors at 9 AM and came back again at 10 AM. Checkout is at 11 and we were trying to get some extra sleep as our flight got in very late. Please only send housekeepers to rooms that are fully checked out if it is before checkout time.

The Old Town Inn was affordable and has good kitchen facilities (with a mini fridge and microwave). The Inn is close to the Old Town Trolley station, which was convenient for accessing all parts of San Diego for sightseeing and, most importantly, shopping. It is very good for those who rent a vehicle to base themselves here.

The area is walkable, but the closest takeout or shops are a 10 - to 15-minute walk. Also, you need to take care as the area is in a more industrial part of Old Town (away from the tourist area), and you will have to keep your wits about you with heavy traffic (some side streets have no side walk) and encountering people living rough on the streets.

It was extremely beautiful. We have stayed here a couple other times. We drive all the way from Washington and have gotten there early. They always accommodate us allowing us to get into a room right away. The one time they didn’t have a room ready yet, then allowed my kids to change and swim while their staff hurried to get a room ready for us. They also are always accommodating to my disabled child. There has only been one time that they weren’t able to give us a bottom floor room but they made sure we were right by the elevator so that it would be easier for her. Whenever we needed anything, they were quick and seemed pleased to help. The staff was always extremely friendly and patient with my daughter when she wanted to be independent and practice trying to communicate.

The only thing that I would say would it would be nice to have more breakfast options.

It has beautiful flowers everywhere and is easily accessible from two different directions.

There is a large homeless shelter next to the property. You see the homeless everyday as you drive to and from the property.

We had a wonderful stay as a family of four, including our toddler. The staff was welcoming and helpful, and it’s clear that management takes pride in maintaining the property. Our studio with two queen beds was clean, spacious, and comfortable. We appreciated having a fridge and small kitchen area—it made traveling with a toddler so much easier! The complimentary continental breakfast exceeded our expectations, offering some healthier options like oatmeal and hard-boiled eggs. I even got to enjoy a peaceful walk with my toddler around the area, which felt very safe. The location was perfect—La Jolla Beach, Little Italy, and SeaWorld were all within a 10-minute drive. We’d absolutely stay here again!

Super comfortable beds; Great location close to transit centre: we got the free flyer bus from the airport to the transit centre and walked 5 minutes to the hotel. We used the transit centre for trams into the city centre and bus to Mission Beach which was super easy. We walked to Old Town in about 10 minutes for the mexican restaurants/cafes and shops. The staff were friendly and we booked the hop on/hop off bus for a discount at reception which we picked up in the Old Town. You don't need a car. Continental breakfast was served from 6am so was ideal for the early wake up when you travel from the UK. Free tea and coffee all day. Despite the light industrial location, the hotel felt safe and was super convenient. We were very happy with our choice.

Limited breakfast options and no non-dairy milk options for our vegan friends who we travelled with.

We loved the location. We could walk to Old Town square and shops and dining. Our cute room faced the pool and was nice and clean. It was just a short drive to the San Diego zoo and the beach. The breakfast room was spacious and they had it open until 10 - great for a vacation sleep in and still time to get some food. They have DVD's in the lobby for check out; which gave us a laugh but then we checked out 2 movies and loved the nostalgia feel of it. All of the staff were very friendly !

The WIFI was not working; however they did send us a message prior to arrival to let us know it was not working. It is a little noisy being next to the main road. But nothing that would keep me from staying there again
