Luis who made our breakfast each morning is great! and we enjoyed our morning waffles, especially on the patio. Everything is super clean and works well. The location is wonderful; we walked everywhere. Didn't need a car ever. The beds and pillows are excellent quality. All the staff are friendly and easy to find as needed.

The sheets didn't quite fit, a little too small so they did not stay in place throughout the night. I'm like the Princess and the Pea. Having the mattress pad wad up and the cover sheet slipping off is not my favorite. But the pillows and the mattress were excellent. Just need deeper pocket sheets or better fitting cover sheets.

The location was perfect walking distance to Old Town, only cost $11 to get to Downtown's Gaslamp quarters, where all the night life is. Friendly and helpful staff in a safe environment. Clean rooms & patio, with access to amenities such as first aide and refreshments (for purchase) in Lobby. Breakfast was decent (cereals, toast, juices, and freshly made waffels. Just lacking a protein) But We will definitely be staying there again and recommending it to family and friends.

Parking stalls too tight, making it hard to open your door or for larger vehicles. And breakfast could use some proteins such as eggs, yogurts, bacon, or sausages. Not a continental breakfast (not that they claimed it was, just saying).

Location. Convenient walk to heart of Old Town San Diego activities: food, shopping etc. Also, optional covered parking garage structure ($) or park in street. Older structure ( “ Old Town “!!) but we were pleasantly & gratefully surprised that the rooms had been renovated to high quality standard, aesthetically, efficient and hygienic !! As the desk clerk noted, however, not all of the rooms had yet to be renovated with new bed mattresses — like ours. Due to being glad that the total renovation ambience was more than we anticipated, we barely noticed it, especially for a one night visit for “ Dia De Los Muertos” memorial festival.

Would like to’ve enjoyed a new mattress !

I liked that it was very close to downtown which was the location that I wanted to learn more about. The location was awesome.

Unfortunately the water was way too hot in the shower. I told the staff in the front office twice about the temperature in the water. They said that someone went to fix the problem after we left the room. When I got back I wanted to shower again but I didn't want to waste water trying to regulate the water so I can shower. I almost burn myself to try to shower. Besides the water situation, all was good.

Quiet when the neighbors turned off their music :)

Funky location, but we found it!

The hotel is two or three blocks from the main street of San Diego's Old Town and a couple more blocks to the Old Town light rail ("trolley") station. I found the location super convenient as I did not want to stay downtown. I had an extra large room and suspect it had been converted from other uses so I cannot fairly comment on what the average rooms are like.

The location is great as it is walking distance to all the attractions Old Town has to offer. It is also just a 7 minute drive from the airport, 3 minutes from the Marine Corps base and about 10-15 minutes from Mission Valley, Point Loma, Sea World and the beach. The property is older, but is clean and comfortable. Very quiet at night.

The elevator is old, but functional. They were re-painting and remodeling some parts of the hotel during the stay.

Perfect location. Friendly and helpful staff. Quiet and extremely comfortable room and bed. Excellent parking too. I am definitely going to miss the water pressure in the shower when I'm home!! This is a great place to stay. Pro tip: the Marriott next door has a little Bistro offering tasty bites and happy hour.

Very close freeway access, great walkability, awesome location, clean and secure property. The property is a bit old however, it is kept very clean. The breakfast provided in the morning was great. Great place for the value!!! I highly recommend.

I wish there was a way to privately mention this! The vents on the AC unit were covered in black mold spots. A quick wipe down would eliminate this issue. I mention this because it deterred me from using the heat in the room and it could do serious harm to those of us with mold allergies. It is a liability for the establishment and guests alike.

Very nice room with big comfortable bed, good shower with plenty of hot water and a good Wi-Fi signal. Walking distance to the bus and train station, attractions, bars and restaurants. Breakfast is waffles and muffins, it's the US!
