Location, staff, experience was amazing! They even offer a shuttle to take you around old town .

Only downfall about the experience was , the pool was freezing not heated what so ever. Was not able to locate jacuzzi either. Also, the staff who cleans the room don’t even bother to knock before entering even with a sign on. Our check out was 11am , this occurred at 9:am a staff enters the room without knocking or asking if it’s okay to enter. Also , Then day before we left to grab food I Put a sign on door “to not disturb “ which would mean “to not clean, leave room as is” and they still entered the room. Seems as if it was to be nosy since only thing cleaned on there part was a fresh of new towels. Trash wasn’t taken out or beds made.

We came to the area for our son’s graduation from Marines basic training. We could not have chosen a better place. The property is clean and well maintained. The staff are amazing!! Art, who is at the front desk, was such a gracious host. The property is close to the base, airport, and Old Town (which is full of restaurants.) Art gave us coupons at restaurants. They also have transportation and picked us up from airport, took us to the base for graduation and picked us up, and drove us to and from Old Town, and then back to the airport. They have a good breakfast, as well as a pool and store onsite.

Our room was close to the freeway, so there was some traffic noise.

I really loved the shuttle service To the transportation center since there were no restaurants close to hotel! The hotel was very quiet, our room was along the interstate and we could not hear the traffic.

the breakfast bar needed some variety. Were we there 8 nights and NOTHING was changed. And the egg omelets were not very good. Even the odor from the tray when you lifted the lid was awful. the lady working there did a great job of keeping the foods well stocked.

Their customer service was the best I have had at a hotel in a long time. I picked the hotel for cost and proximity to the airport. I had a rental car i needed to return. The gentleman at the counter said to call him once i returned my car, and he would send the shuttle to pick me up. Then he told me he could drop me at Old Town AND pick me up when I was done. I was blown away by the service. Old town was a nice way to spend the evening, especially when I thought I would just be in my room for the night. Anytime I have a layover in San Diego, I will definitely stay here

There wasn't anything I didn't like

We were picked up at the airport and had a very easy check in process. The room was very clean and well maintained. We could walk to Old Town for great restaurants and many cultural exhibits. The staff were very nice and well informed and even had daily room service. We haven't seen that since pre 9/11. I would definitely recommend this hotel to friends and family.they also had a very nice complementary breakfast.

Our requests and needs were well taken care of.

Staff were so helpful and welcoming from the shuttle drivers and reception desk, to the young man who I think was maintenance staff. Breakfast was good and convenient. Room was very clean. Location was perfect…not a far ride to all the sites we wanted to see, including La Jolla, Balboa Park and the ferry pickup downtown to Coronado island. We also felt safe walking to Old Town.

Pool was closed so we never got to swim. Noise and lights from the airport woke me up a few times but not the hotel’s fault. Blackout curtains did help.

Design of hotel is excellent as it keeps the theme - an idea of San Diego. The staff were superb. Considerate, respect & polite. Very helpful & informative. Shuttle service is one of the best that I’ve seen in all my travels. Thank you

The King size bed in 314 was very disappointing. The side closest to the window was mush! Sat on bed to get in & about landed on the floor. Poor design or used by a 600 lb person for a few nights that broke it down. Needs to be replaced.

The hotel was next to a very busy highway but the staff gave us a room at the opposite side of the hotel which was very quiet. The staff were very pleasant and helpful. The location was great, we could walk to the trolley at Washington Street or catch the hotel shuttle to Old Town. The shuttle was also available for the airport. We liked the convenience of the laundry and the shop was well equipped.

We had housekeeping every day for the first four days but not after that although we would have liked it. The shuttle to Old Town was available on demand from 5am to midnight but the shuttle to the airport was only available once an hour, on the hour which didn’t fit in with our flight time.

This is the second time I've stayed at this property. Their customer service is exceptional. The entire staff is welcoming and competent. The rooms are clean and well maintained. They have a very convenient shuttle service that will not only pick you up from the airport but also at local restaurants. This is also very close to several restaurants and attractions. I would definitely stay here a third time.

We stayed at this hotel 2 years ago. It is very convenient when leaving early from the San Diego Airport. Also it is very well run, spotlessly clean, the staff are very friendly and willing to help. The breakfast is very good and plentiful. They have a shuttle service to the a/p but they will also take you down to Old San Diego and pick you back up. They have a small but efficient shop near their front desk that carries everything. We will be back again and highly recommend.

The hair conditioner pump bottle in our bathroom didn’t work 🤭 Not a big deal.
