my room and bed were very comfy & the location near union station made it easy to navigate through town.

I didn't like, the hidden fees like $75 a night for room damage waiver; totalling $225. I only received a refund for one night which was only $35.

Boutique size with personal feel and historic background. Ricardo and Joshua were professional friendly and efficient and went above and beyond in moving us to a quieter (and much better) room due to a noise issue from other guests.

Noise from other guests visiting for a gaming conference. The location right on the edge of tenderloin is so very sad if you walk one street west

To me, it is rare to have a microwave in the room. I loved it!! The room had everything I needed and it was such a comfortable retreat after a long day of sightseeing. The staff are warm and helpful. The location is also very convenient and near to the pickup points for the major bus tours. Loved having CVS and many restaurants nearby.

The colling/heating unit can be a little noisy but works just fine. We were on a floor that had wooden floor boards and these can creak quite loudly. Was told by staff that higher floors would have concrete floors (no creaking).

I liked how central it was to everything in town, it was a good location and the staff was quite lovely.

This hotel is ok. It’s close to my office and next to the St Francis where I was able to valet park my car. You have to get a ticket from the front desk and bring it back to the valet. Prices in SF are ridiculous during any conferences, which there happens to be one during my stay. So for the price, I think this hotel was not worth it. It’s outdated and very basic. The staff was super friendly and extremely helpful. I only stayed one night and didn’t have a chance to eat breakfast so I can’t speak on that. Over all it was an ok stay. If I paid this myself, I wouldnt stay unless I had no choice during conference times. Location was good and close to everything i needed

Reception allowed to check-in early (my flight arrived at 6 am and I was at the hotel at 7am), which was great considering the night travel and that it pouring rain outside. Reception clerk was very useful with information on a good spot for breakfast nearby and how to purchase bus / cable car tickets. Gym is very well equiped.

Room facing the back, and next to a service area which had a lot of noise in the morning.

The Italian restaurant on site js really great. The staff are friendly and attentive. Location close to Union Square is good.

Staff demonstrating at the neighbouring hotel Westin is real turn off. (Gives noise disruptions the whole day) Also, there a quite a few homeless people in the area, however not much the hotel can do about that. Shower takes forever to get warm, so you waste a lot of water before is comfortable to have a shower ( we were only on the 4th floor so)

The aesthetic of this refurbished character building was really pleasant and I loved the scent of the hallways and lobby. The bathroom was spacious and had a tub as well as a shower, which is relaxing.

I felt the front desk staff offered varying levels of customer service, depending on the individual. It would be very much appreciated if all staff could provide clear directions to nearby points of interest. The cleaning staff skipped the refresh of my sister and my rooms on our 2nd to last day, despite both of us NOT hanging the "no thanks you" sign on thr door know. It felt awkward to hear "They're probably tired" so we didn't ask them to come back to do this. But the room refresh (removal of garbage, top up of tea/coffee and making of bed) are little treats that are usually offered when paying a significant $$ per night.

Good location, spacious room and the team on reception amazing - SO helpful, especially Claudia for helping me out with the airport transfer when the roads closed for the Bay to Breakers race. She aced it!

The lobby area is a bit small, especially if there are a few groups in the hotel - they tend to congregate downstairs so if you’re checking in or out at that time, it can get a bit chaotic.

The bed was extremely comfortable. I asked for a corner/quiet room and the staff delivered, they even upgraded me! The location was close to the BART, which came in handy for me as I traveled solo and without a car. The bath products smelled amazing. The Italian restaurant connected to the hotel, Corzetti, was amazing—so amazing that I ate there every day of my trip (three times). The hotel offered a breakfast coupon, which came in handy. I was able to request special items for my room (a robe and extra coffee) without issue. I even asked to extend my check-out and the staff happily allowed me to extend my stay for an hour. I'd love to come back.
