Staff were friendly and the room was nice/ comfortable and very clean. Location was great, very central.

Was surprised when they took a refundable $100 a night at check in, to cover incidentals, only to find mini bar in room was empty. At check in (Sat) we were given a $10 voucher that could be used at the bar/restaurant. When we went it was closed, as it is every Sunday and Monday apparently. It would have been nice to have been made aware of this before booking or even at check in.

We were happy with our booked room, beds were comfy, personnel at reception was always very friendly and helpful. Room was clean, and we got a nice thank you note from the lady that cleaned our room because we left her a tip (first time we ever got this at a hotel at all). As we were travelling with friends we asked for rooms close to each other when we booked our rooms and the hotel accommodated this. It was our second stay here and we chose the hotel again specifically because of location (close to cable car end station at Powell Street and public transport, Target around the corner) and the price for parking was cheaper than other hotels. WiFi worked well, too.

The location is great, I loved that it is very easy to take public transportation to go anywhere. I also liked the storage space in the room. It is quiet. I liked the ease of finding things that you might need (there is a target, a mall across the street).

The staff is not the kindest (not all), but we didn't feel very comfortable asking for things at the front desk. It was a busy season, I understand, but the "valet parking" was very slow, and the guy seemed really overwhelmed. Our car stayed too long waiting on the street, and then they didn't know who had the key; I noticed other guests trying to figure out the same thing. He didn't know which key belonged to what car. I didn't like the restaurant, I thought it would be a good idea to get breakfast included with the room reservation, but it was not. They offered the same menu every day and it was very expensive for eggs and potatoes every single day.

The location is excellent. Everything was walking distance or a short bus/train ride away. After finding the king mattress a bit bouncy, we asked for a room with separate beds and they upgraded us free of charge. The breakfast menu is very nice and the food was excellent.

We had to escalate the fact that our pre-paid breakfast fee only covered a subset of their menu (the "continental" menu option) and we wanted to order something else (and we did). So we were on track for being charged twice for breakfast. They ultimately credited us the pre-paid fee upon checkout. But it was an unnecessary friction.

The room was fine, modern and pretty well equipped, but definitely not in the top tier of hotels. No robes, slippers, turn down service, chocolates on pillows, gratis snacks/cookies in room, or bell people ( bellmen, to help with luggage), but they do have a garage, and we got a rate on Booking.com that included parking, but it was hard to find the garage attendant or more than one person at the front desk, and it felt very much like a do-it-yourself affair- nobody to provide service, no concierge- you are on your own.

It had the vibe of a youth hostel, not a top hotel in a sophisticated city.

From the moment you step into the hotel, you could feel how nice and at home it was. The staff were nice and greeted us right away. Check in was quick and simple. The hotel is very secure, as you need your room key to use the elevators and to enter the hotel from the street after hours. Our room was on the eighth floor at the very back, so it was nice and secluded. Our room was beautiful. Updated but still had a nice, cozy vibe to it. The jacuzzi was very nice, shower pressure was great and the beds were comfortable. Plus this hotel is right in the center of the city. So everything was very close, accessible, and in walking distance.

I suppose the only negative really was the outside windows were pretty dirty, so the view in the daytime wasn't the best it could be. At night it didn't seem to effect the view.

Love this property. Stayed here a few times. Great value at a great price. The location is perfect. 4th street across from Ross, next to Trader Joe’s and a parking garage. The room was large and quiet. The bed was comfy and soft. Both times we’ve had and inner room that looks onto the restaurant courtyard. These are the best because there is no street noise. The bathrooms are always a bit small, mainly the shower. Just for one person. Water machines on the floor, tea and coffee on the 5th floor.

Tiny tub shower situation.

room and bed were very good. The staff were excellent and very helpful. Prominent security staff outside also.

The hotel and staff are excellent but the location in San Francisco is a problem - all of the centre of San Francisco feels unsafe due to untreated severely mentally ill people homeless on the streets, open drug use on the streets near-by in the tenderloin area. The hotel posts security outside the entrance to off-set this.

The room was very nice and the perfect set up to have because we brought our foreign exchange student and having a door between us gave us all privacy. The large shower was great as we are very tall.

We were EXTREMELY disappointed about the amenities - especially since there was an additional charge for them. Free wifi is not unique, coffee/tea service was not special and the TV choices were TERRIBLE! When I inquired at the front desk I was told it had to do with the vendor you contract with. We were not willing to pay $20 to rent a movie and feel we should have been “comped” one as the room rate is very high.

Great location, lots of stores close by, as well as the ballpark being close enough to either walk or use a ride share service.

Up until 6am the next morning everything was fine & then a local neighbor on our floor (the 8th) must have been opening & closing their door every 10 mins for at least an hr; therefore, we had no choice but to be wide awake way too early. No fault of the hotel but it was very disappointing that this happened.
