This is a nice hotel that was mostly very clean. We chose the location first, then the hotel and this Hampton Inn was the right choice. There's a Trader Joe's and a Whole Foods nearby and San Luis Obispo offers a huge variety of dining options.

For a future stay, we'd request a room on the front side of the hotel since the rear side (where we were) had some truck noise as some rigs sat there idling for hours during the night.

Booking.com messed up a simple change to my reservation, through no fault of Hilton/Hamptom. So I was in a pickle. But… ERIN, the manager, and Jacob and Ray at the desk ALL came to my rescue. ERIN managed to untangle the Booking.com mess, and I ended up with a lovely room that was perfect for me and my friend. AND without any hard sell, she pointed out the advantage of being an Honors member. I'm now a happy member and will book directly from now on.

Booking.com really screwed up. I would rethink your contract with them so that it mitigates errors.

Everything was neat and clean looking. They had all the stuff I need like shampoo & conditioners and body wash, lotion , hand soap. Super convenient ! And the shower is nice super strong too:) which I loved.

Nothing. Everything was perfect! Just minus the pool. It was under maintenance that’s understandable.

Actually, my boyfriend got breakfast, but he said that the choices didn't look very good. He brought me a muffin and coffee which tasted fine. I think that he just got cereal, which is unusual for him.

The breakfast was great. It was fully stocked when we came down. The staff was so nice, helpful, and answered all my questions. The beds were very comfortable, and the towels were the softest I've ever felt!! I was concerned about barking dogs near us and the staff tried their best to keep us away from any dogs!

We had no issues at all! We loved this place!

Room was huge. easily the biggest room we stayed in on our 4 week trip around California. Staff were extremely helpful. the guy at the front desk made us a a new pot of coffee when we arrived late at night. Breakfast was sensational too.

Super great location and really great price and allowed pets 😍 and the staff were super nice and helpful. I asked for late checked out and they were so helpful and letting me stay till 1pm. Definitely will be come back and stay here again.

Staff was nice, everything was clean.

I didn’t like that there was a noise complaint around 8:00 pm about my 5 year old daughter. She has ADHD, we have a routine for her to calm down, but the stay was a change for her. I felt bad that they were complaining about her.

The breakfast was great and so was the location. We previously stayed at the Marriott Courtyard next door but they don’t offer breakfast and started charging fo parking. This hotel was a much better deal and less expensive.

Big, beautiful rooms, clean, spacious bathroom. Not walkable to downtown but a cheap Uber ride will get you there. (try the Novo restaurant.) Staff was friendly, and even tho our room was next to the elevator we heard very little noise from the hallways.

The shower was unnecessarily complicated. The hotel itself was VERY close to the freeway, so sleeping with the window open wasn't an option. Even with the window closed traffic was audible. The complimentary breakfast was uninspiring and sparse, but nevertheless appreciated.
