Nice room, lots of amenities. Check in and out was easy. Staff was friendly. We appreciated the pet area and how dog friendly it was.

The only criticism is the pet fee. I called and asked before booking and was told $50 a night. When I got there she said $75 a night. A little back and forth and was honored $50. It still is outrageous to me that a pet fee is so much. Most places (that we’ve stated in) charge $25 a night. Or a flat fee of $50. We don’t have puppies who pee or chew on things. Some extra hair yes, maybe some extra dirt but to charge $75 a night? It’s too much. I wish hotels would take a deposit instead of flat out charging. If your dog does damage, keep the deposit. If they don’t, we get it back.

Overall, my family and I were very pleased with our stay at the TownePlace Suites in SLO. Having adjacent rooms was really the perfect solution for us, and we really appreciated having the two kitchens, extra bed rooms, and seating areas. It allowed us with 5 people and a dog to be quite comfortable, but still feel like we were sharing meaningful space and time together. Everything in the property was great, and we are very happy with our stay.

The only small complaint we have are that there were a lot of crumbs and debris in between the two doors that connect the two rooms. Just a small housekeeping note for future guests.

Super clean, close to our destination at The Historic Octagon Barn for a wedding, decent hot/cold breakfast and friendly staff.

Only odd thing I found was the location of the shampoo rack. You have to face directly into the water to access the shampoo, conditioner and body wash, which was at the edge of the shower- under the shower head. Otherwise, whole place is great!

The hotel is right off the freeway - so lots of noise if you crack open the window for some fresh air. I wish hotels that offer breakfasts would have better selections of fruit: we live in California- fresh fruit is in abundance in August! I would prefer a selection of berries, stone fruits, watermelon, etc., in addition to the whole oranges and bananas.

Great location next to the airport. Staff was very friendly from the start and assisted with an early check in. Maintenance was swift when we had a request. The staff did a fantastic job with stocking food for the included breakfast. The breakfast alone makes me want to return!

Toilet seat and toilet paper holder were loose on arrival.

AC and fan thermostat are set very warm. You cannot control the fan and set it to on to circulate air. So the air is still and warm. Fortunately, the staff offered me a box fan. This made the stay enjoyable. They recommended opening the window and putting the fan in front of it. Unfortunately the window had no screen so bugs started to come in. Had to close the window.

Checked in Saturday and the front desk was super nice! Staff all around was nice as well. The free breakfast was a nice touch and 12pm check out gave us enough time to pack up and feel relaxed to leave.

My parents had the room near the elevator and it was really loud so they didn't sleep well. I had a room down the hall and the walls are super thin so I heard everything the next room talked about the whole night.

Just the exit door bang noise with guests in & out...kinda startled us off & on...maybe a hydraulic closing device to make it shut slow & quietly!! I just held the door til it closed gently, but not all folks are so considerate...thank you for asking...it wouldn't prevent my restay!!

This facility was very new and clean. The one-bedroom suite had everything we needed and then some. Great layout. Loved the office chair and desk set-up. The closet was large and better equipped than most hotel closets.

The TV in the bedroom didn't work. The staff tried to fix it but couldn't. Would have loved a hot tub. The breakfast was pretty mediocre and not very healthy. No non-dairy options for the non-dairy person in our group. He had to have bagels with peanut butter for every meal. Some oatmeal would have been great.

Great location for what we needed. We were doing pre-wedding planning for the Madonna Inn in October. The bed was comfortable and the room was clean.

Coffee was pretty awful, so we decided to skip the included breakfast at the hotel. For a new hotel I was a bit suprised that there were things in need of repair in the room; a towel bar barely attached to the wall, tub faucet in need of caulking, a poorly draining shower/tub.
