Location is really fantastic, walkable to convention center and 16th street entertainment and food. Pool is small but cozy and lots of places to lounge or eat al fresco we did some work outside. I had an issue with a room and they did respond quickly to move me and I do really appreciate that. 24/7 self check out mini mart downstairs was useful. microwave also handy. Nice bar and restaurant area to hang with colleagues.

Some of the staff were really helpful but a few were unfriendly. There was a lot of confusion at times when I was messaging with front desk staff as if they were not well coordinated. I did have a problem with the first room they put me in- but thankfully they addressed it right away.

The location and facilities at Sonesta Downtown Denver were ideal for us. The arrival at valet parking and check-in was seamless and very smooth. We liked the room. The outdoor pool on the 6th floor is a pleasant surprise. Best part? The staff HONESTLY care to get it right. Amber at the front and Carlos at valet parking helped me greatly . . . after one of the valet carpark workers literally LOST THE KEY TO MY MERCEDES-BENZ. Gone. Lost it. But they moved Heaven and Earth to give me a SUBSTANTIAL discount and to actually play Charlie's Angels and find the key . . . which was in Nebraska, having been dropped by a carpark worker inside another guest's car . . . and driven to their home. I was inconvenienced in having to be rescued by family from a nearby town, followed by a four hour round trip to get my spare Mercedes-Benz key. My lesson? Bring the spare key on vacation.

The reason my car key went missing is the way the valet park has keys organized. Dozens of keys are stored in the actual valet podium on hooks, allegedly sorted by valet ticket number. The organization of those keys is an unconscionable mess. But that is the doing of management. The carpark workers can only work with the system provided to them. I want to stress that Carlos and Matthew at the car park did literally everything in their power to fix a mistake made by a junior employee. They were smart, effective, polite, and kept their cool in a crisis. Matthew arranged a locksmith to help me if needed . . . on a Sunday. This could have been a disaster, but it was turned into an acceptable inconvenience by Amber, Carlos, and Matthew.

The bed and the comfort of the room temperature were exceptional. I loved the convenience of getting to local nightlife, and being close to public transportation to go enjoy The Denver Broncos game, which is less than two miles away.

I didn't know that parking there was Valet only and for $55/night. However, there is a covered parking lot right behind the building, and I parked there from Friday until Sunday, and it only cost me $7 total.

Room was good. Restaurant-bar was good. When the thermostat in my room didn't work, someone did come to the room within a short time and correct the situation. The front desk person who checked me in gave me a discount on the daily parking rate.

Upon arriving and parking in front of the hotel, where you can only park momentarily, and trying to check in, no one wa a the front desk. i waited several minutes. It was Sunday about 6:30 p.m. I waited. And waited. Several minutes, and no one is at the front desk? A video camera was on me, showing I was there. Finally I went and asked the bartender if anyone was coming! This was really bad. Number two, the thermostat in my room didn't work (the room wa really chilly so the first thing I attempted to do was shut the AC off)..

So, nice hotel! Great location!! 1 block from restaurants/ move/ bars/ ice cream!! I was really impressed with Evan who checked us in!! Not only did he recognize my military status on my DL but gave us a compl upgrade for it!! honestly, I NEVER expect that from anywhere but that’s pretty awesome that he actually noticed and took it upon himself to address that! Not for me but rather more for our country! Maybe he needs to be behind a desk in congress instead! Just sayin!!

I loved how clean and organized the hotel is! Beautiful outside and inside. The rooms are very clean and are so cozy! It was perfect for someone who doesn’t want something so expensive and extravagant. Front desk staff are very helpful and friendly! Very accommodating and welcoming. I felt really safe and close the hotel at a certain time for safety reasons. Overall, extremely happy with my stay! Would stay at a sonesta again!

The staff was amazing and very accommodating. Upon arrival, our AC was already on to keep the room cool. The view from our room was exceptional, we were situated on the 21st floor. Although we were situated towards the back, we still had an amazing view of the Empower stadium. The hotel is within walking distance of the 16th Street Mall. There is plenty of selection as far as food choices. We would definitely choose this place to stay again

The bathroom could use more lighting. And possibly a fan. Also, we had trouble with cold water in the shower. Water would get so hot, we had to nearly turn the knob all the way off to get the water cooler. Water pressure for showers could use more pressure.

I like the friendly staff, the updated kitchen and bar area, the rooms themselves were updated and clean. The bedding was amazing and very comfortable. And the pool area was clean and inviting.

I didn’t like the hallways going to the rooms. I thought they were old and didn’t match the rest of the hotel.

My husband had difficulty locating an ice machine for guest use. Difficulties getting luggage cart to parking garage, not enough space was provided. We barely made it to dinner before the restaurant closed at 9:30. Parking was expensive, $45 per day.

So helpful. Down to earth. Close to the 16th street mall Denver Pavilion entrance. We easily walked almost 20 miles back & forth between all the food and stores and buildings to see & our hotel room. Only drive twice lol over our four days there!
