We had a very positive overall experience at this resort. The rooms were spacious, exceptionally clean, and well-designed for both comfort and functionality. The property itself was expansive with plenty of activities to enjoy, making it easy to relax or stay active. While the food was on the pricier side, it was consistently fresh, flavorful, and served in generous portions. A great stay all around!

A couple of minor notes: There was one instance where our card was charged without prior notice, which led to a quick visit to the front desk for clarification. It would be helpful if a simple heads-up or notification could be sent before charges are processed, especially if they go beyond the initial expected amount. Also, during our stay, there was a strong sulfur-like smell due to a seasonal bloom of red seaweed—not something the hotel can control, but worth being aware of depending on the time of year.

Breakfast was great! Service was always friendly by those ladies :) I used the shuttle service and the employees were so helpful. Love that they had multiple pools and it was no issue getting an alcoholic bev to bring up to your room to enjoy on the balcony.

I booked the ocean view king suite, with beautiful views. However, the tub did not have hot water. I did call about it and they said they would send someone to look but no one ever came. That was disappointing as it’s why I booked this specific suite. Bartenders are a little iffy on their skill. I ordered a margarita and I wish I would’ve brought my own supplies. This may have been the worst drink I’ve ever had.

Pleasantly surprised with a place called CHEECA Lodge. To be honest I didn’t know what to expect. Pleasantly surprised about how great this place was. Upscale and beautiful. If you are looking for a romantic getaway you can’t beat the beach rooms with the soaking tub overlooking the ocean. Not the cheapest place and the restaurant was good but pricey. Room was super comfortable. The staff were super friendly and very accommodating. I would def recommend this place to family and friends.

I mean this is super nit picky and no reason to stay away. Smart tvs would be nice and if the had screen doors installed that would be a great way to keep the doors open to enjoy the gorgeous views without letting the bugs in. Like I said that stuff is super nit picky.

Location was amazing! Staff was friendly and attentive. Felt very safe at this location with my teenage daughter. Wish I would have planned a little more in advance for a better selection of rooms available.

Just a few minor dislikes: Bathroom toilet didn’t work upon arrival, they were over to fix it within the hour. The shower didn’t work properly and the shampoo/soap provided was not pleasant at all, we ended up going to a grocery store to buy some. Weekday breakfast service was lack luster. We waited almost 10 minutes for anyone to bring us water. Once we ordered, it took 25 minutes, then the coffee arrived. We didn’t even order cooked food! Our waitresses left the check, and it wasn’t ours. I waited about 10 minutes, but she didn’t come back, I had to bring it to the front to be corrected.

Cheeca has always been a staple in the keys and islamorada ! I have always enjoyed the property and is in a great location with a lot of great restaurants on property and off/nearby. We loved the opportunity to fish of the pier and also use kayaks and paddle boards. Something we don’t do often and enjoyed using. I wanted to specifically say a special thanks to Jessica at the front desk. She exceeded my expectations and working with me on getting 3 rooms for our family and was able to move us to the dog friendly building on the property. She went above and beyond and could not be more grateful for her customer service. A BIG THANK YOU!

Having stayed at the property multiple times, this was my first time staying in the dog friendly building. It was not as nice as the other buildings and somewhat disappointing but we were able to bring our lovable pup so we made it work. It was definitely just touched up with paint so I would recommend for future airing that out before having guests stay in the room as it was very strong odor.

I left an expensive piece of clothing in the closet. After calling couple of hours after checking out, the staff told me that it is not in there after supposedly checking the room and the cleaner didn’t turn anything in. I’m pissed about the dishonesty. it just didn’t disappear on its own 😡

The grounds were beautiful and the adult pool was wonderful. We only ate one night on the property-it was good but a little pricey.

We loved the view and the location of our bungalow but it appeared as if it hadn’t been cleaned under the dressers or bed and the rug needed a good vacuuming. I realize the staff is pushed for turning the rooms but when passing a cleaning cart , I never saw a vacuum as part of the cleaning equipment. We also had a clogged drain which was promptly taken care of and sewer like smells from the shower drain …so we bought some bleach to help remedy the odor. The staff were all very kind.

I have been a guest at the Cheeca on many occasions and have had great experiences this visit I would like to forget. I booked through a third party and paid the price. The room that I expected was not what I was given and when I tried to explain to the staff they became very non receptive when they found out that I had booked through a third party. I tried to explain that I had booked a suite with separate sleeping for the kids. I showed them my booking and they said that all I had booked was a king suite with a resort view. The resort view was the roof with the ac units.The check in had been at the hotel for 4 weeks the concierge had been there for 3 weeks and neither cared about my situation all that they were concerned about was allocations of rooms. The staff me that there was nothing available to fulfill my needs but I could purchase another room. Not appropriate

Attitude of certain members of staff ie check in / reception. Ground staff verbally abusive to the female staff. Lack of teaching skills to employees ie can my kids get fishing rods? No these are broken so you can’t repair them no it is not my job. So when I fixed them I was told that I could not touch or repair.

Good reception after nightmarish long drive from Miami in a major thunderstorm (and provided a bottle of cava). Driven to room as the entire estate was flooded. Pleasant staff. Free provision of bicycles and tennis equipment; golf clubs too for the 9-hole executive course, except it was unusable owing to flooding. Lots of beach loungers available, and beach equipment.

No buffet, but rather a la carte breakfasts at substantial prices. Resort fees are an unwelcome additional charge. Suggested minimum service tip of 18% for everything. Gave room upgrade on arrival - but then charged for it. Noisy music at main pool all day.

Broken phone in the room, Broken ice machine, Car charger was occupied 90% of the time, very stressful. When they could not find my reservation employees were mean to us. The food was very overpriced. The cleaning lady was knocking at my door before 8am on the last day, I could not sleep after that.
