Paying for parking and a resort fee when I was only there a few hours to sleep

Before I even get into the review I wanted to mention this: My husband was selling his motorcycle to someone here in Key West and the weather was suppose to be bad later in the day. Well we decided to try and beat the bad weather by driving the 4 hours earlier than we expected to leave. It was fine until about 20 minutes into our trip, and it poured on and off. He got soaked the entire way. I called the hotel to see if we were able to check in early (I think normal check in is either 3 or 4pm here) and we got in at 9am. They were actually able to check us in at 9am!!! It was a $50.00 early check in fee, but that was worth it to us to not have to be able to stay in cold wet clothes. Review: This hotel is a nice one. Cheaper than others in the area with a lot of perks. One of our favorite perks staying here is the free water bottles and heated pool as well as the hot tub! It was nice to relax in both after a long day walking around downtown. Location is about a 15 minute drive to downtown Key West. Plenty of shops and restaurants within a 3 minute drive or about a 15-20 minute walk. Staff were very pleasant and friendly! We booked a king room, plenty of space and nice facilities. The A/C unit & shower worked well. The pool area has a little bar to order drinks & food. We ended up getting food and it was great. Pricing wasn't bad either. I didn't bring my card and asked if they were able to charge it to my room, which they did!

If you book a room that doesn't include breakfast, there is a little buffet but it's $18.00 per person. It is your typical continental breakfast with a few other hot items such as eggs, sausage, bacon, etc... There is a parking fee of $15.00 & resort fee of $25.00

All amenities one could expect, in a beautifully landscaped tropical environment. Complimentary laundry, hair dryer, iron, stocked Keurig coffee machine, large flat screen tv, and spacious pool with jacuzzi. A previous guest had put coffee grounds into the water reservoir on coffee maker, rendering it in operable - when notified, the hotel provided a brand new one in under 15 minutes.

No smoking anywhere on property....a outdoor smoking lounge would let guests feel less ostracized. Key West has a cigar making history. Also, cashless property.

The room and facilities were great

I didn't like the fact that we had to pay $15.00 a day to park at the hotel. Never have I heard of such a thing.

It was clean and comfy.

It was too far from everything. Terry, the concierge, also got our luggage all screwed up. When Paradise Porters got there to pick up our bag to take to the Key West Express, they told the guy that we didn’t leave a bag. When we got to the port to leave, our bag wasn’t there. Thank the Lord for Jared who graciously hurried back to the hotel to get it. Terry and the workers at the front desk need to have a better system for making sure guests’ bags get where they are supposed to go. I was very disappointed considering everything else was great.

The manager was helping at the front desk, he was courteous and genuinely wanted everyone to have a pleasant experience and best stay at his hotel. The bed was so comfortable, the room was large and easy to move around in. It’s hard to do a breakfast buffet right but they had fresh fruits that I would have picked out for home and the scrambled eggs were delicious. Usually they are to runny or overcooked but they have perfected their scrambled eggs.

Our Room was very nice and very clean. The pool area was beautiful, there was a bar and live music, in addition to a hot tub. We didn't spend much time there, but it was only because we didn't have the time.

This isn't really a ding, however, the breakfast buffet was delicious, but it was pricey for what was offered. I've been at hotels with the same type of buffet and it was free.

Dave the shuttle bus driver was exceptionally rude. I can’t imagine his character is true to the Hilton mission and vision. We reported his bad behavior to the manager the next day. But would appreciate knowing he was held accountable for his unprovoked rudeness. We boarded the bus for our excursion, feeling lighthearted and full of excitement for our upcoming snorkeling. But Dave belittled and berated us in front of a bus load of passengers because we didn’t have our buss passes. We were stunned to silence and embarrassed at how comfortable he was with being incredibly rude to us as Hilton guests. I looked at the other folks on the bus and they were astonished as well. It’s guys like Dave who will make me think twice about returning to your hotel.

I liked the shuttle service, it was quite convenient. Pricing of the hotel was fair. They also did free shaved ice and popcorn. Also being able to rent bikes from the property was super convenient!

I didn’t care for the cleanliness of the hotel, I felt it was a little lackluster. The desk in our room had water stains and was sticky. The shower floor didn’t look very clean either. Some discoloration throughout the room and the hotel.

The room was cute, comfortable bed. Could logg into my Netflix on the TV which was a plus because I usually bring my roku! They had a shuttle to shuttle you downtown. Staff was kind friendly and accommodating.

Fire alarm went off at 345 am to 445 am first Night we were there and we were told to evacuate to our cars when we called because they didn't know what was going on. No breakfast package on booking. Com I could find they say breakfast isn't included in your stay and it tells you it is on booking. When u get there they tell 7 it's an add on.
