The bathroom was dated. The fan running whenever the light was on in the bathroom was extremely annoying.

We loved it very quaint old school key west style. Small rooms but amazing outside very exiting for kids. We eat at the restaurant early dinner and our 4 year old got to feed the sharks, parrots 🦜 and turtles 🐢 definitely our sons highlight. Breakfast now days is not normally included and it was pretty good decent breakfast. Will definitely book again when traveling to Key West.

It's not that I didn't like it was more feeling bad for their ac units cause they had to run all night cause there's no insulation but it is old building.

Restaurant on premises, although would be nice if the kitchen stayed open just a little bit later to serve hot food, as we had just missed it when we checked in at 9pm the first night. Consider, maybe till 10 o’clock? Lol. Seeing the shark feeding area, and actually feeding the sharks is pretty cool. They offer a bunch of water sports available right on premises, so that’s nice. We jet skied around Key West, and it was fairly reasonably priced. Lots of critters around the area to look at and admire. Beds weren’t super comfortable, but they did the job. Great ambience. We will stay again when visiting Key West!

Maybe keep the kitchen up until 10 PM… The little bar that keeps our sliding glass patio door shut was a little wonky.

The location is perfect. You truly get the island life feel with all modern hotel amenities.The hotel lot is surrounded by water and wonderful wildlife. The waterfront hammocks and lounge chiars made it the perfect spot to read a book. The free shuttle means you dont have to worry about driving or parking. Everyone we asked for assistance immediately assisted. The restaurant was great and convenient. The room decor has an island vibe. It came with all the standard amenities and with hulu ,netflix, and other subscription services. The fridge with a freezer was larger than most hotels. We will definitely be back again

The only thing was we needed help to get ice, as it location was unclear. However, as soon we asked, the person stopped to assist graciously.

I loved Ibis Bay resort. Everyone from the front desk to maintenance was very nice and friendly. Only thing that was mean and with the attitude was Lexi, the parrot. Lol. Everything was very clean and very highly maintained. Rooms are little old, they are beautiful don’t get me wrong, but they could use little renovation. Our room went out on the beach, total pleasure. I could sit there the whole time if you let me. Pool side was beautiful, with the pool bar. I swear I became an alcoholic. I tried every cocktail on the menu twice, lol. Absolutely delicious! Kids had lot of fun too! Hammocks everywhere were very comfortable for afternoon naps for my 2 year old. My son enjoyed shark feedings very much. And the foooood at the Stoned crab restaurant! Woow! Everything that we ordered was absolutely delicious! So fresh and tasty. Great presentation and very good portions. Prices are also reasonable. They have a “Life is too short bus” shuttle that takes you to the city and brings you back. We didn’t have to rent a car, you don’t really need a car with the shuttle service. If I ever go back to Key west, that’s where I’m staying.

Only thing that I didn’t like is that there is no coffee maker in the room. I am a very heavy coffee drinker, but guess what? I survived. Lol

The resort was in a convenient location. We utilized the shuttle which was wonderful because parking anywhere near Duval street is not recommended. We enjoyed the pool and the hammocks/ beach chairs next to it as well as right outside our room. Having a refrigerator in the room was good.

It would have been convenient to have a microwave. We could only get ice at the restaurant, but it would have been nice to have access to an ice machine after the restaurant was closed. The bathroom was in need of a little TLC. It was clean, but areas of wear were evident around the tub.

The staff was great throughout. The location and view were both nice. The room was clean and comfortable.

The only thing I would say is the rate could have been a little lower. While the rooms are nice and have a little beach access the water does not appear accessible or swimmable. The while property while beautiful is also rather standard so I would have been completely satisfied with a little lower rate.

The shuttle bus was helpful to get around the old part of town. The staff were friendly. The island theme carried through the property, and the art in the room, including palm fronds painted at the ceiling, was nice. Wifi was strong most of the time. Maintenance came quickly for a minor tv issue. Shark feeding at the attached restaurant was fun. Continental breakfast was good.

They looked like they tried to update but things ending a little wonky, like uneven, lumpy backsplash glass tile used for the bathroom vanity surface. The grout in the bathtub surround has mold. It makes it feel old, not quirky or vintage. There were bugs, like fleas or gnats, in the room, likely from the beach patio and the birds that beg there. TV was a little small for the size of the room.

The whole place was a great experience for the family. They have a couple of fun Macaws that you can interact with. They have some turtles and they also have shark feedings. We didn’t have time in our vacation plan to take advantage of the jet ski, kayak rentals, or the Life is Too Short Bus, but those looked really fun. I loved that our room had a bayside view with lounge chairs and a hammock on the palm trees. The pool with the poolside bar was really nice too!

I wished it was a little closer to the old town Key West. I also wish their bus ran later, because we wanted to stay out for a late night ghost tour, but the bus didn’t run late enough for us to use it, so we ended up paying for the late night parking.

We chose Ibis Bay Resort for two reasons: location and parking. We're traveling in a small RV that can fit in a regular parking spot and parking is a real concern in Key West. This hotel had room to accommodate us but just barely, I would not say this is a good spot for RV parking. The location is close enough to ride our bikes down to the main area you want to be in Key West. The bonus is they have a shuttle that leaves on the hour from 8AM to 10PM which is very convenient. The rooms were small but very clean, when we were there they were painting all their exterior features. The hotel seems to be very well maintained. They had a refrigerator in the room. The hotel also offers a continental breakfast which we were very pleased with: coffee at 7 and food from 8-10. Karen and the rest of the staff we dealt with were very friendly and helpful. The internet was good and streaming was not an issue.

We always enjoy a microwave in hotel rooms, they do not offer that. We don't watch a lot of TV but the NCAA football championship was on. They get their TV through HULU but did not have ESPN so we had to stream it.
