Located right in the heart of all the entertainment, but off the Main Street so you could sleep. The courtyard was beautiful. The old world charm is still alive here. Very beautiful. Just what we expect to find.

Bring a small candle just in case you have a room that needs aired out. I always bring one candle on all my travels

After some negotiations and help from one of the managers we got a great room, peaceful and quite with good space

At first we were given a room close to an elevator and air conditioning unit, and thus very noisy. We tried to change but the receptionist showed little understanding.

The staff were very friendly and helpful. The rooms themselves were comfortable and of good size. The hotel also had a nice, quiet courtyard, and is in close proximity to everything in the French Quarter.

Because the hotel is located less than 1/2 block from Bourbon St, it is subject to all the ceaseless noise from it. Our rooms happened to be on the side of the building closest to Bourbon St, and, as such, we could hear all the booming band and bar noise all night long, despite the fact that you could not open the rooms' windows. To possibly avoid this incessant noise, book a room on the side of the hotel farthest away from Bourbon St.

This hotel is in a fantastic location and offers valet parking, which made things super convenient. It was easy to walk just about everywhere we wanted to go. The room was cozy, and the staff were incredibly friendly. Be sure to check out the bar—it has a cool speakeasy vibe and excellent drinks! The bed was very cozy and comfy.

The only downside was that housekeeping knocked on our door and woke us up, even though we had the "Do Not Disturb" sign up—and it was still before checkout time. That was frustrating.

Loved the location and the quiet comfortable area (did not hear a lot of noise drift over from Bourbon at all). Very helpful and solicitous staff. Bed and furnishings were comfortable and shower was great. Also great that free water bottles were offered daily. Appreciated the cocktail coupons for 21st Amendment.

It’s a little outdated and could use a deep clean on some less frequently attended areas (e.g., walls, doorframes, closets) and some maintenance (e.g. recaulking showers and replacing baseboards). Room was overall clean and comfortable but these things can contribute to a noticeably run-down feeling. That would definitely not stop me from booking a stay here in the future.

Our room had a decent amount of hangars in the closet (a huge pet peeve of mine at many hotels) and the bathroom and shower were large.

The noise outside. Although we were off Bourbon Street, a group decided to have a loud party in our room at 3 am. No police came, and the party went on for over an hour. Loud music, yelling, drinking shots, shots, shots. When we said something in the morning to the front desk, they just rolled their eyes and said, "Imagine what it's like on the weekend." No thanks. Although it was lovely to have a room over the street during the day, nighttime and early morning trash pickup and deliveries make it a challenge. Definitely recommend bringing some earplugs if you want to sleep.

We love it there! Have several times. Felt like this stay was a tad rundown. Needs a touch of love

Spacious rooms - we had 2 and both were on the large side. Modern bathrooms with great showers. Courtyard a cool place to sit in at the end of a busy day. Wine bar on site worked well for us. Breakfast was substantial and worth the extra money. Closed on Mondays and Tuesdays tho. Location was perfect - minutes from everywhere. Some noise in eve but I think you expect treat for such a great location. I quite liked hearing all the fun.

Air con unit was very effective but noisy! Mould on ceiling in ladies toilets near lobby.

The proximity to everything. Bourbon Street was less than a block away. Perfect location. Overall, we truly enjoyed our stay at Hotel Mazarin. The location is incredibly convenient, allowing us to easily walk to many popular attractions, restaurants, and shops. The staff was welcoming and accommodating, which made our experience even better. The ambiance of the hotel is charming, and the courtyard provides a nice, peaceful retreat from the hustle and bustle of the city. We also appreciated the affordable pricing, which makes this hotel a great value for the area. That said, we’ve stayed here twice now and would gladly return. The location, friendly staff, and overall charm make Hotel Mazarin a great choice for a New Orleans getaway.

Had a wonderful stay at Hotel Mazarin during Mardi Gras season! Very friendly and helpful staff; excellent hospitality and price value. Prime location in the French Quarter, close to Bourbon St and easy walking distance to well-known bars, cafes, the riverwalk, etc. My room was spacious, clean, and very charming; inner courtyard location, so there was little to no noise from the neighbourhood celebrations. The hotel does offer a parking option across the street for $50/day (deducted from the incidentals charge), convenient but pricey, so I opted to park a few blocks away for half the cost. Would definitely recommend this place and I hope to stay again next time I’m in New Orleans.
