I asked for a high floor, and we got one overlooking the pool.

The window was so high up that I could not see the pool, just the skyscrapers in the distance. (I am of average height.) The person who made up our room (which we asked for the second night we were there) did not do a very good job. Our used coffee cups were left on the dresser, our toilet paper was not replenished, and our hand towels were not replaced. I think the hotel could do a better job training their room cleaners.

The heated pool was great.

Not attentive on 3 different occasions. I asked for an extra pillow which they said they would bring up but they never did. I asked for the lock on the door to the outside pool/courtyard area to be fixed because the room key to outside only worked for one day of the 3 we were there. The room key worked on the main door but not the outside door and they said Maintenance would come to fix it but they never did. When I checked out the receptionist said they would email me the final billing info and she never did so I am assuming the total charges were within a few hundred dollars of what I spent but frankly I am still not sure.

Everything! We will come back again. It's on Bourbon Street, which is entirely safe for us ladies. Everything was clean and beautiful. I strongly recommend it for a girlfriend retreat or any group trip to that hotel. The pool was also excellent, with the bar on the dock. However, they need to work on their billing part- when I reserved the room, I included breakfast and 15 dollars for a daily snack meal. But they ended up charging me on my bill. I tried to resolve this issue, but they weren't available. I need to address this because I don't want another customer to go through this. Am I being scammed?

Charged me for breakfast and a daily $15 dollars snack fee on my credit card. Tried to call the office for this issues, but the phone was not available- cannot leave a message due to full mail on messenger, Need my money back please- However, they need to work on their billing part- when I reserved the room, I included breakfast and 15 dollars for a daily snack meal. The property is located in the heart of the French Quarter between Royal and Bourbon St with beautiful balcony views. Our room was lovely! The balcony overlooked the Music Legends Park on Bourbon, so we could hear the live jazz at night, which was perfect. The staff from the valet to the front desk to the cleaning team was excellent. You’re within walking distance of basically everything you need with easy access to streetcar stops. We will definitely be booking here again! Be sure to check out Desire Oyster Bar! The food was delicious. I had never had oysters before & our server was kind enough to let me try a sample!

It was a little hard to book tickets for the Jazz Playhouse. I think that process could be improved with being able to reserve seats at the front desk rather than through Eventbrite. Also, there was pretty loud construction happening outside our room starting around 7-8 AM. I understand this isn’t something the hotel can do anything about, but just a warning that your balcony view could be overlooking construction (as of Dec. 2024).

This hotel is located right on Bourbon Street but our room was quiet enough for us to sleep. The room was nicely decorated and the bathroom was big and very clean. The Queen size bed was very comfortable and I I liked that the pillows weren't down. Overall, very happy with our room. The rest of the hotel is beautiful and also very clean. The hotel has a Jazz club, a high end restaurant, another restaurant /oyster bar and a bar that opened up right onto Bourbon Street. If you wanted to, you'd never have to leave the hotel and still have a great time. The location of the hotel is fantastic. Easy walk to any part of the French Quarter and it is just a couple of blocks from the Canal Street trolley to the Garden District. The pool area was under renovation but looks like it will be just gorgeous after it is finished. The hotel staff was great at both our very late check-in and also our very early check out. They called a taxi for us and had one within minutes to take us to the airport. We are planning on going back to New Orleans and will definitely book the Sonesta again.

The only thing I didn't like was that the restaurant in the hotel Restaurant R'evolution used latex gloves so I couldn't eat there. I wish they would switch to vinyl to protect the safety of their diners and their staff.

The pool, coffee, shop and restaurants are an amazing perk of the hotel but the staff truly set the place apart. While everyone was great I wanted to highlight: - Caleb at the door who is always so friendly, knowledgeable, and goes above and beyond to help anyone nearby. - Jose is always busting his butt at the pool area and doing maintenance around the hotel. - Donald at the door is always on top of it and a friendly face amongst the craziness at bourbon - there’s a lovely redhead with curls at PJ’s who was always so helpful (and a pro with the espresso machine), I don’t remember her name but she always made my morning - Johnny was a wonderful resource for concierge activities and helping get my luggage on my last day, on top of just being a friendly face - Shout out to the beautiful housekeeping staff who not only maintain clean rooms but went above and beyond creating cute shapes with bedding and giving it that extra touch - Apologies to the wonderful lady at the front desk who almost broke her back helping me with my luggage on my last day when I ran to the bathroom before heading to the airport. Looking forward to my next NOLA Royal Sonesta visit. Thank you team for a wonderful visit, miss is already!

For those with young kids being right on Bourbon St may not be the best sight, or I recommend having a car you can use versus walking the kids through some of the “Bourbon shenanigans” at certain times For those without kiddos you couldn’t ask for a better stay

The staff was very nice, suggestions for activities in and out of the hotel was very helpful. The hotel is beautiful inside. Check in and out was a breeze. Love the Front desk staff. Whenever I needed assistance or had questions they were very prompt and courteous with solving problems. Not that I had major problems. They were always polite.

The room is kind of small for the price. My closet door was off track. The room should have had no issues when the price is so high. After 5pm it was a bit much trying to get transportation out of the area. I will choose Sonesta again but not that particular location due to the congestion around it.

The front desk and staff in the lobby were excellent and very, very helpful. The Desire bar/restaurant is a great place to eat and have a drink. The beds are very comfortable, and I had no problem with sleeping.

The room was definitely not very clean when we checked in. It needed to be vacuumed, and the baseboards are filthy. Later on it was vacuumed and the floor was better. There was only one facecloth in the bathroom the first day so we asked for more. We got some until the last two days and then there were none again. There was only on bar of soap. Is there some kind of rationing going on with facecloths and soap??? I have not had a chance to peruse my bill in detail, but it looks like I was charged different prices for the room on different days. I was not aware of this please explain.

This hotel is all about the location! You step out the front door and you're right on Bourbon Street in the heart of the French Quarter! Great location for first time visitors to New Orleans. I highly recommend getting a courtyard facing room with a balcony. The courtyard is very nice to look over as you sit on your balcony having a glass of wine and is pretty quiet considering the proximity to Bourbon Street. The bed and pillow were very comfortable and the courtyard facing room was very quiet at night!

My only real critique of the hotel is that the water pressure in the shower needs to be stronger. Not sure if they can do much to fix that...

Location is fantastic. Staff was very nice and it was Taylor swift weekend so I’m sure they were super busy.

Shower sucks—pressure was super low and had to put a wet washcloth to hold the drain down so it would drain but that should be an easy fix and probably not every room. And I rated the value of what I paid a bit low because of the inflated price for Taylor swift weekend. Most places were doing that so there wasn’t really a way to avoid that. Their normal pricing fits with what you get and think that would be worth it. And the location is really good if you want the French quarter and not far from the superdome.
