Situated in a great location just a few minutes walk from the T. We had a friendly & very helpful check in. The bed was super comfy and the room was nice & clean. The continental breakfast was great with fabulous selection of baked goods (cinnamon & raisin bread is yummy toasted), a lovely fresh fruit salad, yoghurt, hard boiled eggs & condiments to choose from.

The shower cubicle was on the small side. There is a choice to take breakfast in the lounge area (there is no dining room), your room or one of the outdoor seating areas on the 2nd or 3rd floors. The lounge area is a bit awkward as it only has coffee tables but, it was ok & manageable. There are strict federal food safety rules about not eating or drinking by the kitchen counter when you are getting your breakfast items, which is fine, but we felt hovered over and awkward, paranoid about doing something wrong!

The breakfast was great, and so was the location, at least for the reasons I was there. It was a very quick walk to the Northeastern campus. I liked how authentically Boston it felt, down to the narrow staircases.

I think it’s very expensive for what you’re getting, considering how small and old the building is, but I also understand that Boston prices are super high and this was comparatively a good deal. The bathroom could’ve been a bit cleaner; there were some hairs from the last guest who used the shower.

The room is small, but it’s definitely worth the price due to its prime downtown location, and it even includes breakfast! I walked there easily from the train station, and later took the Green Line, which has a station just around the corner. The bed was comfortable, and the room had a TV and a landline phone, although I didn’t use either. I also enjoyed the atmosphere at the reception, where they played nice music during breakfast. A huge Whole Foods market is also just down the street.

For some reason, it took forever for the shower to get hot water, even though the faucet over the sink had hot water right away.

The location was great. Check in was easy and it accommodate our late arrival of 1am. The facility was a comfortable temperature despite very high temperatures outside. The staff was responsive.

Three things: We were traveling with friends and we were split between the two buildings. This mainly manifested itself at breakfast since we each ate in our own buildings. The ability to use that time of breakfast to plan the day was off the table. The dresser in the room had issues with the drawers. Every time the drawers were opened the drawer would come off the rails and then the drawer wouldn't close. The pillows were all too tall and too firm for my liking. Since 4 pillows were provided,, it would have been helpful to provide a little variety rather than 4 firm pillows.

The Guest House was in great location - quiet part of the street that still convenient access nearby buses and the subway. Could also walk to lots of areas and had good selection of places to eat nearby. There was great communication from the property. It was clear what I had booked and what would be available to me during my stay. The staff were very friendly and welcoming, and allowed me to drop my case off earlier before check in and leave it with them after checkout. The breakfast selection was really good, and tea and a fridge was available the rest of the time. I had no issues with the shared bathroom, was always able to use it when I needed to and it was always left clean.

Nothing.

Oasis' location was extremely convenient to the attraction I was in Boston to see. Many of the other guests were there for the sake of walkable sightseeing, and we were all quite satisfied with this. As it turned out, there was a wide variety of eateries nearby, too, and I enjoyed taking advantage of that. Breakfast, though without any actual hot dishes, was nevertheless delicious; the coffee was especially good.

I stayed in an en-suite room and although it was mostly very accommodating, the narrow shower was a bit uncomfortable. On my first morning, the chirping of house sparrows prevented sleep much past sunrise. Afterward, I ran a white-noise recording on my phone which drowned out the birds. The tables for breakfast are only coffee-table height.

the guest house is a fantastic jumping off point to explore Boston, close to the T, walking distance to several attractions and neighbourhoodss. I enjoyed the complimentary breakfast every morning in the sitting room, cleanliness of the facilities, the comfortable bed, and warm and inviting atmosphere when you walk in from outside.

Generally speaking, I was surprised how expensive a stay was here, however it seems in my hotel research before booking, this was more indicative of how expensive Boston accommodations are in general.

The two gentlemen who checked me in and out (one each time) were extremely friendly and helpful. Was automatically at ease and felt so comfortable. I feel everything about the accommodations were upfront and honest so I knew exactly what I was getting and what to expect. It was so quiet and convenient for my daughter and I. Would definitely book again. Thank you!

I can’t say anything I didnt like. By reading the comments and reviews before booking I felt I knew what to expect and was very happy with the cleanliness. I knew I wasn’t booking a crazy fancy hotel room and really liked the atmosphere. Again, it was a great stay and I would come back!!

The location is great—especially if you’re going to Fenway. It’s only about a 15 minute easy walk. There are also plenty of public transit locations close by to get you anywhere in the city. The staff is very friendly and helpful.

Honestly, there wasn’t a thing we didn’t like. If you read their website, they make it clear that this is an older brownstone type of place—so no elevator, etc. We thought it was charming.

The continental breakfast gets high points for including both healthy and more indulgent options. Good strong coffee. Particularly appreciated the use of crockery and silverware and not disposable items that add to landfill.

We stayed in February during a super cold snap. Would have liked the heating to be a titch warmer but we were supplied with plenty of cosy freshly laundered blankets. Also we had a space heater in our room we could use to warm things up to our liking.
