The location close to the Plaza was one of the reasons I chose the property. The staff was great and very responsive to needs. The lounge area was a nice respite during the during the day. The onsite restaurant was adequate for breakfast, but beyond that a bit lackluster. I suppose with the competition nearby, it was to be expected.

There were minor inconveniences with the room. The toilet did not flush well and the sink had somewhat of an awful smell that seemed to come from the overflow ports. The hotel offered the now standard “green environment” service where you put a tag on your door saying you did not need cleaning. However, I found you didn’t need to put that tag on the door. They didn’t clean unless you asked them to do so. The property itself feels somewhat dated and was probably renovated about 15 years ago.

This is my number one choice for accommodations in Kansas City. The entire team is excellent providing 5 star service with every interaction with the exception of the lady concierge lounge at the evening timeframe. The guest services desk team was excellent, restaurant food was exceptional, bell service was excellent, room service was excellent, concierge lounge gentleman for breakfast service was excellent! When we booked through the Intercontinental Hotels Group(IHG) our room was fabulous and even better than advertised! When we booked through Booking.com we got a less than satisfactory room for the rate paid and the room was not at all as advertised. Thankfully due to our scheduled departure date being prior to the holiday, the guest services person made a miracle happen that restored our faith in humanity and was able to provide us an amazing suite! Therefore, I highly recommend using only IHG for booking!

The quality of the wine served in the concierge lounge could have been better. The wine served was a cheap wine, nothing I would purchase.

I loved the area and the view from our balcony with the Christmas lights from the plaza. It is literally right at the Plaza and made shopping and dining out easy. The staff was great. I only wish there were more areas for us to hang out in the evening. The main lobby area was very small and didn't seat very many people. It would of been nice especially with the fireplace and table games.

I wish there was more seating or another lounge area for in the evenings when we wanted to hang out at the hotel but not in our rooms.

Alex, the valet was fantastic. He remembered us from our last trip. He is friendly, fast, and personable. The room was nice and the bed was comfortable. We frequent this hotel and always have a nice stay.

When we first arrived the front desk was not occupied for at least 15 minutes. All at once 3 staff members emerged. This is not something that we have encountered before. Normally there is someone there ready to check you in. Once staff arrived they worked quickly to get us checked in.

An excellent stay starts upon arrival and the front of house staff are exceptional. Friendly, courteous, helpful and efficient.

Restaurant service was spotty. Understaffed some of the time, orders were slow. Other times great. We understand how hard it is to get people to work in todays environment -- hope you can improve in this department.

Bed was super cozy, the room was spacious and the staff was great. Easy to navigate the property and the pool was very nice. I would stay there again.

The check-out time is 11, and we were there specifically to be able to sleep in and relax, but the housekeeping staff starts cleaning early in the morning, so although the room was perfect, the noise of vacuums in the hall and light tapping on the doors was a distraction and woke us up quite a bit. I get it; they want to get started with their day. I just wanted to have a little more peace and quiet.

The location was amazing! It was so close to restaurants and shopping.

Having a cheaper option(s) for breakfast and lunch would have been nice. Paying for parking also seemed a bit much considering what you pay to stay.

Definitely extremely beautiful.

I enjoyed my stay minus our hotel key didn't work to get into the parking garage when we were ready to turn in for the night. The front desk clerk helped us so that was extremely helpful.

Location is wonderful. A short walk to restaurants and shopping. Beautiful views, nice rooms. Quick check in with nice staff. Quiet and comfortable.

The bathroom could have been a little cleaner, but not bad enough to call housekeeping

The room was great. Staff was super friendly and helpful. The live music was so relaxing in the lounge. Location allowed us to walk everywhere !

The pool area could be bigger. Valet service was a bit pricey. That's it.
