I use this hotel every time I need to visit Kansas City. It has dog friendly rooms. The facilities are clean. The staff is friendly. The location is superb - close to the Plaza. Heads up - the street cart will start operating in 2025, and the stop is very close to the hotel. Value for money is really good.

The breakfast could be better, not a big deal though. $75 pet fee seems excessive

The computer system when we were checking in had crashed and we wound up playing musical chairs with rooms. We started in one room on the second floor and were told about 30 mins in that we needed to move because we were given the room in error. I believe it was because it was just two of us and the room was a king size bed and I believe a pull out couch. We were moved to the first floor with just a king size (which is what I had requested in the first place). It was definitely not the staff's fault, with the system being down we could see it caused them a lot of stress trying to figure out rooms. That was really the only major issue we had.

This hotel is near the Plaza in Kansas City. Although it is being renovated, it has some distinct charm from the original design. The amenities are limited, but the hotel staff makes a real effort to make the stay comfortable.

central location to many great neighborhoods- literally 10 minutes from whatever you want. nice little patio, especially for a city hotel. next to coffee, gas, art supplies, Italian restaurant 2 doors down. good parking lot in back, little parking lot in front. even a laundromat behind the building, Caty corner to the parking lot.

nothing the staff can control, it is Main Street after all. Fridays and Saturdays are nuts- booming cars; revving motorcycles; atv convoys, multiple venues Main Street is also currently under construction for a trolley line till 2025 thin walls, no vent in bathroom manageable if you are mellow and looking for a bargain.

The room size was good and the bed was extremely comfortable.

Breakfast was subpar at best. The breakfast room was filthy. They were having some plumbing issues that wasn't all their fault. A car got broken into next to ours the last night we were there.

Excellent value, close to everything. Staff are fantastic. Hotel is going through upgrades and is not a high end hotel. That being said is clean and comfortable and the staff are amazing.

Water pressure was low due to upgrades.

Was there at 6:45am every morning for breakfast! Was good ñ ALWAYS ON TIME!!

We had no complaints! we really could have walked everywhere shopping 🛍️ food gas etc STAFF Was very very attentive n helpful when needed we also felt safe because the front doors are 🔒 at night by 10 unless u have a key! Ñ WAS CLEAN!

The staff was fabulous! Very personable, welcoming, and accommodating. Kevin got us checked in and I could see that he was busy, but he gave us his attention and a nice beverage and joked around with us as we headed out for dinner. Terri in the breakfast bar was awesome, and while I didn't get the names of the ladies who got us checked out the next morning, they were lovely as well. EVERYONE including the maintenance and cleaning staff that we passed (in both the evening and the morning) had a smile or wave or something nice to say- that's hardly the standard these days and it was truly lovely. Hats off to the Seville staff! The hotel was clean throughout, there were PLENTY of towels and pillows, and it was a quiet stay at a very convenient location. The cinnamon rolls were tasty too! 😋

I would note that if you have mobility issues to consider, call the front desk to ask if there is an alternate entrance/access to the elevator. There are a few steps in the lobby that could potentially be difficult to navigate, depending on your needs.

The location was great to walk to and from places in downtown KC and Alice at the front was great too.

The bathtub in the room was a little dirty along with a pillow case and some of the blankets on the beds.

The charm - but it was a little rundown. The staff was good, but could have been more interactive. They were quite happy to just chat amongst themselves rather than pay attention to customers.
