The front desk clerks were friendly & helpful. When we had a room concern (bedbugs in our room), they reacted quickly & even upgraded us to another room at no charge. The breakfast was great with many items to choose from. Upon check-out, the manager decided that for our inconvenience of having to change rooms, they did not charge us for our one night stay. They didn't have to do that, but we greatly appreciated it.

Didn't like the smell of weed/pot as we stood outside our first room door & then we found bedbugs in our first room. They apologized & upgraded us to another room. The rooms were too dark inside even with the lights on. Would recommend painting walls a different lighter color to help improve lightening up the rooms.

Room and its easy access to our car. Bed was comfortable. Everything was clean. Staff was very friendly. Coffee machine was good. Offerings of breakfast cereals were healthier than many comparable hotels. Location was perfect for us.

Facilities, while OK, were a little "tired." Our bathroom door would not close all the way. Minimal counter space in bathroom. Refrigerator hum was so annoying for all three of us that we turned it off at night. Very little bread offered for breakfast--only white sandwich bread and tiny muffins and no jam was available.

Everything there was just wonderful. To the rooms the staff the breakfast. The beds were so darn comfortable. My kids had a blast. They had a outside lil park area there for my 2 4yr old girls to play at..it had 2 slides and a swing set. My husband loves that they had a onsite gym. They also had a lil coffee bar in the office where you could get free coffee all night and day long. They also have there guests free bottles of water whenever they wanted. This is diffently mine and my family's favorite hotel to stay at.

There was literally nothing I didn't like about this place.

I stayed here twice while on a family emergency trip. Once going and once returning. The rooms were clean, felt safe in the neighborhood, and the breakfast was good and plentiful.

On my return trip, I found ants in the bathroom and the refrigerator did not work. I lost all the food that I put in there for the night. When I was checking out, I mentioned to the front desk that the refrigerator did not work and there were ants in the bathroom and he immediately responded with, "You're not getting a refund!" I did not ask for one. He stated they spray and spray and can't get rid of them because of the water table in Missouri. His attitude was not appreciated or needed.

The staff is always super friendly and if you're traveling with a pet, it's a great location with lots of room for your pet to be walked.

It seems every time I stay here, something goes wrong. One time, I woke up to no hot water. Last time, there was zero insulation and a freezing draft came through the space between the door jam and door all night. This time, the heat wasn't working. I was moved to a king suite (which was great) but had to pack up all my stuff and hike it over to the new room. They weriously need to do some upgrading on this facility.

We liked being able to park in front of our room. The room was good size and had frig and microwave. Towels were nice and plenty full. Bed a king was comfortable. The temp was regulated in the room and very efficient. Grounds were nice, the pool wasn't opened yet. The breakfast and attendants were excellent. We were there for 6 nights, in Springfield to visit family.

My only issue, and possibly OUR phone server...Would not work for calls, if we got away from the building, over near the pool etc. Then we could make calls and they would go through and not drop.

If you put this hotel in another location, it would be perfect! This iconic, single story hotel has been kept very clean, updated and staff is excellent! Well groomed and doesn't feel like a typical "chain" hotel.

Unfortunately, Springfield government is allowing homeless to wander the streets panhandling again! CALL them at 417-864-1651 and tell them it is hurting business because you don't feel safe off the property unless you are "carrying." THAT is exactly the reason for the 2A and our natural right to protect ourselves and our families, because the govt either can't or won't.

The spacious room, the acces of the room, the people were friendly and helpful! The bed was soft and very comfortable and it's pet friendly with a dog park right outside our door!! We will definitely be staying here again the next time we're in town!

The breakfast could use some improvements. The eggs looked great but didn't taste so good! The biscuits were rubbery and hard nor better with the watery gravy! There was No Sweet Cereal! No real selection of pastry and couldn't find the milk!

I always pack my own meals, so I didn't try the breakfast. Great location if you're traveling with a pet. Large grassy area for them to use. Room had a roomy refrigerator, comfortable beds, and plenty of towels. Some areas could have used better cleaning (a pill on the floor by the bedside table and a big wad of hair on the hardwood flooring). Front desk staff super friendly and helpful.

I had a very enjoyable stay. The room was comfortable and clean, and I could park my car just outside the door of the room. The grounds are attractive. The breakfast room was well supplied with a variety of choices. I was also satisfied with the exercise room, and the laundry room-- two features I value in a hotel. Very central location, with lots of shops, restaurants, etc. nearby. I will definitely plan to stay there again on my next trip to Springfield.
