The staff gets bonus points for hospitality, professionalism and courtesy. As Ambassador Elite at Marriott Bonvoy I've had my fair share of interacting with hotel staff. For a small hotel to provide service levels that I find better than many Marriott properties I've stayed at is definitely worth extra credit. If it weren't for that I would've rated this hotel 7/10 on account of the loud noise at night but the bonus points for the service makes it a 10/10. They have green tea & coffee in the lobby as well as in the room. A water filter for hot & cold water in the lobby so you don't have to rely on bottled water. Location is close to many Asian restaurants & supermarkets so anything you need is within a 10-min walk.

The noise levels from mid-night through sunrise are throught the roof owing to a combination of a bar/lounge in the building and a party house in the neighboring building.

The beds were actually the the most comfy beds ever. The location was good with lots of local business, restaurants and easy access to subway. We felt safe traveling at night to and from train. Bathroom was good design for 4 adults sharing with the toilet, tub and sink separated. the room was quiet- no noise in hallway and didn't notice street noise despite being on a main road. There was a bar on top floor that looked fun but we did not have a chance to patronize. Staff were responsive to our requests.

The lighting was odd- we would have liked an option for some cozier bed lamps. Also we would have liked the room to be able to be darkened to keep out daylight.

The new management seems good and concerned about improving the service.

Great hotel, especially for the price. We walked to/from the hotel to the subway in morning & night, I felt safe every time. The room was a comfortable size and clean.

The prices for the rooftop bar were very high

Everything was simply great. We stayed at "The One" because of a long overnight layover on our way back home, so we just needed a roof to sleep under. Instead we got a large beautifully decorated room with high ceilings and a fancy bathroom. Short Uber drive to the airport too. My kids and I were very happy with the place, especially for the very modest price.
