I was sceptical in the beginning due to some bad reviews but it ended up being better than expected. If you’re ok with not-the-newest hotels/motels this can definitely work. There were no bugs in my room, it was clean to an ok level, but the best thing about it is the location. I walked from there to everywhere in Austin basically, so easy and I did not feel unsafe (walked during the day). And just 12ish mins away on foot there’a a food Park with a lot of different foods, I tried the Rollin Smoke and would come back to Austin for it.

The young men at the desk were very nice. The room was nicer inside than expected from the outside. There was free wifi. It was walking distance from my conference and affordable food.

The outside was a bit sketchy and dirty. The ice machine did not work. The TVs did not allow for me to watch streaming apps and did not have cable. An old perv kept his door open by the staircase. There were no ADA accessible rooms with a working toilet, so I had to carry my bags up to the second floor and back with a disability, because, the lady would not watch the front desk for the young man to help me.

This is a perfectly good motel, like I have stayed at in many small towns in an unexpected location - pretty centrally located in Austin. I enjoyed my breakfast waffle and the eclectic people I dined with - a German who spoke excellent English and was studying Spanish (as I am); a British comedian who had chosen NYC, Austin, and LA to visit in the US (all internationally known for their comedy venues I learned); and a young man who builds hot rods.

Once I understood that this is a motel, rather than the much more expensive nearby hotels, I found little to dislike.

Older property however staff were super friendly, bed was comfy & room was clean! We felt safe, great location able to easily walk around Austin!

Pool wasn’t open

One: The hotel had waffles. Two: A lot of the reviews said it needed some repairs, which is true. The baseboard was messed up, and the paint chipped. DON NOT LET THAT STOP you from here. That is minor. Three: The shower had good pressure and was warm. Four: The room was clean. No bugs. No smell of smoke. Cleaner than most hotels. Five: The host were very nice. Six: They offered three beds!!!

The sitting area for breakfast is small, but it seems like people get food and go.

The motel was as expected, and the room was nice. The location is great and its very close to several interesting locations in Austin. Breakfast was small but had the basics and was restocked quickly, and staff was friendly.

The neighbours a couple of rooms down were smoking a lot of weed in the morning outside their room, and it stank a fair bit. They did try to hide behind some stairs but its a fairly noticeable odour. The walls of the room was also quite thin and you could hear the other people in the motel move around.

The room was clean and the staff was pleasant. For the price, the location was great. On Fridays and Saturdays after 9:00 p.m., the "action" in downtown Austin is centered around 6th Street and is walkable from the motel. It's maybe a ten-minute walk at a reasonable pace. Breakfast was available at the motel and I was surprised at its completeness--the best I've seen since covid came through. On the downside, it IS on I-35 and I-35 is a busy road. It can get noisy, but overall, it isn't bad.

It could use a brighter light for reading. And I couldn't get onto the internet (which may have been the fault of my computer).

Location was perfect for traveling into downtown, most things were within walking distance and when not, UBERs were cheap. The service was great and the staff friendly and accommodating. The neighbourhood was clean and quiet.

Nothing! This hotel exceeded our expectations in every way!

I didn't appreciate the unprofessionalism I heard on the phone today Tuesday, she definitely needs to get,at least some leadership skills, you do not question your co-worker's decision of why a decision was taken with the costumer on the phone you don't ever bash a member of your team,they are to valuable to try to question their judgment again with a customer on the phone.

Location, location, location. Hard to beat this place's location without spending a lot more money. I felt my room was clean and the bed comfortable-although I must admit I was quite tired when my head hit the pillow-speaking of pillows, there was a nice selection of them on each bed, from soft to firm.

I tried to tell them the coffee at breakfast was weak and not very hot-I couldn't see any steam coming up from the cup. I think they took care of the temperature but not the taste. I tried two little cups of whitener and two sugars, but that didn't help. I have had coffee at other motels, and I've never tasted anything as bad as theirs.
