This hotel is so close to a lot of things...within a 3 block radius is nearly everything to do...very convenient. The room.is smaller but very nice..had a fridge and microwave..and super cozy

The elevators went out and we had to walk up and down 5 flights of stairs...but they were fixed pretty quickly...the bathroom door is a slide door that does don't cover the whole way..but..that's not really an issue with us married folks...and (not the hotels fault)..city construction decided to jackhammer the sidewalk at dawn on a Saturday!!! That wasn't pleasant..

Location! If you want a decent hotel but easy short walking distance to Alamo and the Riverwalk, this is for sure one of the cheapest options! I tried to read the reviews but I think this hotel deserves better! The location is amazing and they have a parking lot right next to the hotel. If you stay close to Riverwalk you WILL pay for parking regardless of the hotel, the good thing about this hotel is that there is a parking right next to the building, also they have surveillance cameras towards this parking lot. I saw some high end vehicles in this parking lot during my stay and there wasn't any disturbing incident. The lobby is big and comfortable to take a seat and drink some free coffee, also they sell some snacks and drinks on the lobby. There is an Indian restaurant in the same building with access from the hotel lobby for guests with a full bar and plenty of tables to seat people. I use booking.com to book hotels and with all my discounts and bonuses I paid $70 per night to stay here. For the price, I think you get a lot from this hotel primarily LOCATION

Don't have any complain. Other people have written about the costly parking lots in the area but regardless of where you stay near the Riverwalk, the price is the same, most of the hotels do NOT have parking unless you use the most expensive ones, but even those ones, parking is with VALET, is not like you just take a parking space for free. or you stay further away from downtown San Antonio where you for sure will need to use Taxi/Uber... if this is the case do not drive your car to the area because you will end up paying the same amount of money for parking anyway.

The location was perfect for my business trip. A clean and quiet place to stay. Staff were very courteous, informative about the location of eateries. I enjoyed the opportunity to get a early morning cup of coffee each day. The room darkening shades made the room wonderful for sleeping.

My room was a bit cold, and adjusting the thermostat got it to warm while I slept. Really not a problem, I requested extra bla kets and slept nicely.

Property is in good shape and it is located near the landmarks in the downtown. Breakfast is wonderful. Many options to choose. The whole property is clean. Laundry is available for an extra fee.

The price of the room is competitive but make sure you read before you book it that they do not offer free parking. They charge almost $40 a day. They also charge extra fee every time you used the car. It makes this hotel very expensive in total price.

The location was perfect—it was within easy distance of a major attraction. The hotel was easy to find. It was perfect for my needs. I particularly liked the inclusion of a microwave in the room, as this allowed me to have easy meals.

Unfortunately, both nights, I had very noisy neighbours. I could easily hear them talking and making noise. I had jet lagged, so I was up, but I could imagine someone who was asleep being awoken by the noise.

The location was good the front desk clerk was always nice and the hotel was clean.

The elevator only one of the other elevator not working. Had to wait for at least 15 minutes if you lucky. Could be longer. The house keeping holding up the elevator. They should get off if the elevator stops on your floor. The house keeping should get off so the guest could go about there day. When you only can be parked on the street for 15 minutes. I seen a many guest get very upset when there was no room on the elevator due to the housekeeper and her belongs that she uses to restock and clean the rooms. like I said they should get off take their stuff out of the elevator and wait why the guest get on with their stuff and go about their day.

It was close to all the places down town to visit, so walking distance was good. Liked that there's was an Indian restaurant in there as well.

Well, at check in, there was a man behind the counter interrupting the lady who was assisting me and that happened twice, kinda making her confused, not letting her do her job. I almost told him something but kept my cool, that was it, maybe don't let that happen again... 🤔

The location and installations are pretty well

I have been asking for full cleaning service for three days and haven’t cleaned the room at all. If it’s a hotel service it should be cleaned every day. They even asked me to fill a form to request for it and deliver to the front desk, and even with that haven’t cleaned in 3 days!!

It's so cute and historical, which we enjoyed. Everything is small, rooms, elevator but it's was nice and clean. Everyone was friendly.

My daughter left a vintage jacket there that I have had for 30 years, with a humming bird pin on it. She borrowed from my closet for the trip and I was unaware. When we made it to our next destination and she realized, we called immediately. They didn't seem interested in helping and I couldn't go back so I had to say goodbye to the jacket and pin. My daughters fault and no hurt feelings.

Four days stay and we were up on the 6th floor with very nice view of the city & the park which is lighted at night. Location is excellent. 5-7min walk to Riverwalk entrance on College street. Breakfast was very good. Three hot meal, oatmeal, waffles, variety of breads and cereals etc. The staff at breakfast made sure the area is clean after one spills food on the counter. The lobby was welcoming with nice aesthetic, lobby bathroom was clean. The gym was clean and nice. The room is small but it’s fine if staying for couple of days. The bathroom size is ok. Microwave and a large fridge were a bonus. WiFi connection is excellent, and we received a discount on our parking fees since we stayed longer. Kudos to Vanessa. Thanks also Akash, he was smiling all the time and respectful to the guest. The attendant at the breakfast was also very nice.

The safe deposit box in the room did not work. It’s important for us to have a safe. They sent someone to fix it when they were told, but it didn’t work. So, we asked again and they sent someone up while we were in the room. Still it didn’t work. Though they said they were gonna replace it, it never happened. The two elevators are tiny (like the ones they have in Europe) but then again this is an old building so we get that. Be mindful though if going to leave early since breakfast is from 7am - 10am. Expect that you’ll have to wait longer for the elevator. The parking is not FREE (breakfast is included) so what else can you ask for.
